“We go there every week for coffee after our Pilates session. Josh and his staff are always very welcoming and helpful. There's nothing I can fault Joshua's on.”

Cute little coffee shop in the center of Sturminster Newton. The staff was friendly. We ordered mocha lattes which were very good. We did not order food but the cakes looked tasty. Really nice place!

Lovely but small, great place for coffee and a bacon sandwich. Also good as a lunch stop off. Car parking nearby.

The loveliest cafe we've ever been to. Coffee and cake was so reasonably priced and service was excellent. Cosy and welcoming atmosphere.

“I have been before but my friend had not and we both enjoyed our lunch. She was impressed with the choice of food and teas/coffees and loved the ambience. My rarebit was tasty and she said her fish quiche was delicious but a very generous portion that she couldn't finish. Staff were helpful, friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We will certainly be back.”

“Whether your starting or completing a local walk or Cycle or Just visiting the town I can recommend The Poets cafe as a great cafe for Tea, Coffee or good english Breakfast. The cafe is named for its proximity to the former homes of Thomas Hardy and William Barnes among others and its current poet in Residence David Caddy. You will be hosted by Yasser who has owned the cafe for many years and is happy to answer any questions about touring or visiting the area. Ask him about the local wines... Well worth a visit,”

“I love this little place that has a larger personality especially around the holidays, nice food, nice helpful staff, and full of friendlyness. It gets bigger and louder during the holidays and summer months when it opens the play area and the maize maze. Lovely for families and children. I have to say it pleases my heart to see this place set up for children's outside play, they certainly keep you on your toes, even when you are not part of that group or party, it has a little downside life everywhere when is busy hearing can be an issue even when sat face to face, so if you're expecting a wee cuppa or coffee or lunch in peace or relative quite here, you honestly won't know until you get there. It's just lovely hearing the children and youths being a play outside and not attached to their phones or computers.”

“A beautiful village cafe in the heart of Yetminster. I've enjoyed some amazing vegan food including a gooey vegetable toasty and their wide selection of cakes, like Jaffa cake cake and blueberry and banana. The coffee is lovely, the staff are so welcoming and they put on brilliant activities for kids - we went to a scary Halloween room they'd put on! You don't regret popping in for tea and cake, lunch or one of their awesome events.”

“Came here today, after walking from our campsite at Graston Copse through Burton Bradstock village. A warm welcome by a member of staff & shown to our outside table for 4 with 3 dogs. Our waitress took our drinks order & returned after a few minutes to take our food order. She was very friendly and attentive, giving time for a chat despite being extremely busy. Wait for our food was minimal and when it arrived it was hot, tasty & well presented. Back ground music was pleasant, giving the Mediterranean feeling due to the sunshine. Wouldn't hesitate in returning if we are in the area again .... thank you.”
