Wow what a lovely place on the seafront, came to Weymouth today for a day visit and stopped here for breakfast and had the best bacon and sausage bap and at such a reasonable price too that I ended up ordering another one and then came back at lunch and had a mr whippy Ice cream followed by a lovely burger and chips. Definitely recommend this place for food and drinks and staff are really friendly too. Can’t wait to come back again in the summer holidays

Small cafe attached to water garden. You don't need to pay for a garden ticket to use the cafe. The staff were friendly and the cafe very clean. Some interesting local artwork on the walls. A very nice lunchtime menu. I had a prawn sandwich that was served with a side salad and crisps. The cheese platter looked fabulous, served to the table next to us.

Popped in for lunch before heading into the water gardens and so glad we did. We had jacket potatoes with cheese and chutney, with a side of coleslaw and salad, and a coffee and walnut cake too. The food was delicious and perfect for a light lunch to keep us going until dinnertime. Service was quick and the lady serving was lovely although due to an unavoidable incident one the other staff members had to rush off for an emergency meaning she was overworked. My partner being kind helped clear just a few of the tables and this lovely lady rewarded us with cream tea. Couldn't praise her highly enough as she made our day.

It was a little bit expensive for what you got and the Dorset apple cake was a little dry, luckily we had it warmed up plus the cream on the side helped. The place was tidy and the service was pleasant, of the weather is fine you can sit outside and take in the view of not there's plenty of seating inside.

Beach cafés can be a bit of a dive — not this one! Really tasty good, generous portion sizes, friendly staff, a relaxed atmosphere, and sea views. We especially enjoyed the scampi and the dirty fries.

It's all fading English traditional location. How they keep going I don't know. This place is totally underated. Brilliant service beyond the 5X⭐ and the rest will please more than other places you might rate in Weymouth.

Had a stop here on a visit to Weymouth. Have to say the food was lovely - better than some of the more expensive places I've been to recently. Fantastic views of the beach, as well. Good honest food, reasonably priced. Give it a go!

We opted for the full English breakfast, and wow we weren't disappointed! The bacon was absolutely gorgeous, so flavourful!! Toast was nice fresh bread and not run of the mill store bought. Clean and friendly staff, highly recommend.

I always avoid giving 5 stars to places as I always think that there’s room to improve… but The Cactus Tea Rooms is almost perfection! There is no justifiable reason to not give this place 5 stars. The food is amazing. Burgers are homemade and delicious, and the portions are massive for their price! The service is swift and amazing. One waitress was so careful with our dietary requirements, making sure everything was alright. She was kind, caring, and made the experience amazing. Food and drink came out in a reasonable amount of time. The atmosphere was calm and nice. It was lovely. One small point of development… the chips weren’t always crispy. But that was very small, and isn’t enough to remove 1 full star from the overall rating. Highly recommend you come. Unfortunately after we ordered and payed the staff told us one of our meals was sold out so we had to chose something else and be refunded which was a bit of a faff Apart from that staff were very friendly and service was quick Definitely will return when we’re back in Weymouth

Lovely location in a busy area. Fast & friendly service. The portland crab sandwich that I had was excellent. Nice thick sliced brown bread with chunky pieces of crab in a tasty mayonnaise sauce. A greater selection of sandwiches and toasties were available.
