Advises on what is the best way to accomplish what you want to achieve, without having to break the bank. Very reliable and friendly. What more would you want. He'll be back at ours definitely.

Went there today to price up internal doors. The ones we wanted were only £1 more than B and Q but the door furniture we chose was ,£5 per set cheaper. All in all we saved about £10 and supported a local shop. They've offered delivery for free as we spent quite a bit. The guys there were extremely helpful. Something you don't always get from big stores. Surprisingly well stocked shop and able to order if not in. Glad we went there before buying elsewhere.

DIY is a very serious business to me and to be honest I knew little or nothing about repairing or replacing anything beyond the very basics,but now thanks to the fantasticly informative and "novice" friendly service at the Handyman's Stores I have gained many new skills in the plumbing and general household repairs there is an endless amount of tools and equipment and supplies available, so a huge thank you to all the guys in the shop and long may you remain the Number One DIY store in Wigan Lancashire.

Great shop to live near. I have bought many things off them over the years and it was always my grandad's go-to place for odds and ends. They will help you find what you're looking for if you want, so you're in and out pretty quick every time, and they cut timber to the size you need if you ask them. If you take in a list of things you're after, they'll walk you round the shop and show you the selection they have for each item and discuss which option will be the best for the job you're working on. Definitely worth checking in here if you're nearby to see what you can get cheaper than B&Q. I'm closer to this place anyway and can go to the nursery just up the road in Bickershaw for garden stuff so I've stopped bothering with B&Q in recent years.

Where to start! This guy is just all round wonderful! Friendly, professional and very skilled! He did everything he was required to do and more! Changed over our lights switches and even wired in our electric hob and oven. All electrics sorted. Would 100% recommend! Update we had them back to fit a new flush valve in our cistern that was leaking and all is good there too! Perfectly done

Diego has done a few jobs for us over the years and he has just completed some panelling on the stairs. We heard of Dave through a friend and booked him to plasterboard over an existing wall cupboard (opening it up in another room) and then skimming the entire bedroom. Dave did a fantastic job. He is very knowledgeable and skilled in such a variety of areas in property maintenance. When winds were high we noticed our facias were banging and a side part of our roof had come loose. We were straight on to Dave and he came out and did this for us. His communication is great and he is prompt and reliable. Having recently moved into a property needing renovation we contacted DG Property and Roofing Repairs as they were a local company and we had heard good things. David has carried out numerous tasks including chimney/roof repairs, penetrating damp repair, loft boarding/new hatch, new ceilings/insulation, plastering, cabinet making/joinery, door hanging and a plethora of other things. All these tasks have been completed at a fair price and to the highest standard and they have made a massive difference in our house, bringing it up to modern day standards. David is professional, friendly and the depth of knowledge he has about his trade has been invaluable to us whilst trying renovate a house that has not been lived in for 3 years. I used Wilson's Handyman Services to do my bathroom.The work was done to a high standard.This was tiled floor to ceiling with a new toilet & sink. Des had some great ideas about hiding my boiler but also making it accessible for inspections.This has improved the look of the bathroom.l am very happy with the work and would not hesitate to use him again.

Phoned Neil and explained that we had tried to change our light/sockets,and had hit a problem with a three way switch over three levels in our home. Lucky for us he was local,he came around and looked at the job and arranged a day to come and sort the issues out. On time, respectful of property,all issues sorted and switches/sockets all changed and working. Would recommend

Neil fitted an outside coach light and and a side security light and did an excellent job. He wired the security light through an indoor socket and did a very neat job, both inside and outside. Cleaned up all the waste instead of leaving it for me to do like other contractors do. A couple of days later i asked Neil if he could adjust the sensors for me and he was there ASAP. Would definitely recommend him.

I can honestly say that Neil has been amazing. From first contact to completion of every job (and there has been a few and more to be booked!) It is rare to find someone that you can trust implicitly to be in your home, be meticulous in his work and be completely honest and upfront regarding cost and realistic expectations in what you would like versus what is achievable. I have found in Neil an irreplaceable handyman that is not only a nice guy, he is professional, hard working and nothing is too much trouble.
