What a fabulous new venue for Otley! Fabulous food and drinks choices, right on the banks of the river Wharfe. We went for the Turkish Eggs, served on sourdough toast with a garlic, chilli and dill Greek style yogurt/mayo whilst sat by the river. What a treat and we can’t wait to go back.

I attended a birthday celebration meal here with some friends. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Tasty, fresh and nicely presented. The staff were friendly and attentive. I'm looking forward to returning soon.

I had a wonderful time at River cafe this evening with two friends. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious—every dish we tried tasted fantastic! We visited at about 7pm and all ate from the evening menu. I had the roast aubergine for my main which I would highly recommend. Whether you're stopping by for a quick bite or a meal, this place is a gem. I will be returning!

I took my niece here who has additional needs, she does not walk or talk. I was a little bit nervous to take her as I was on my own and I often feel like people stare. However, they made us feel really welcome. Very friendly people and brought toys over to her and talked to her. The best most welcoming soft play centre I’ve been to. Very clean, lots of toys and a lovely cafe. Made my week.

Great staff, my Granddaughter lo es the roll play area most soft play places don't have neat touch the kids love it. Meals for both adults and kids are good. Highly recommend. A nice place for an afternoon etc

I had an outstanding experience yesterday at Olive and Fig. I came with my 8 month old to meet a friend with her smaller baby for food and drinks. The two ladies who were working front of house were absolutely outstanding. I don't want to sound dramatic, but it was the best customer service I've ever had! First, they updated us on the timings for our coffees as a couple tables had ordered hot drinks at the same time but they still came very quickly and were delicious. We were then given the heads up that food would take about 20 minutes, again because of multiple tables ordering at the same time but it came all together, hot and delicious! The bacon was gorgeous with minimal fat. They clearly use local ingredients! Now... I mentioned the babies. Mine is going through some sort of crisis (not really but she now screams). So, I took her upstairs to save the ears of the other diners after one of the ladies helped me put her into her carrier noticing her leg was askew. I'm not used to my baby being so distressed but this week, we'd moved to bottles over breast so I couldn't comfort her using my natural multi tool and just felt like a brand new mum again. One of the staff members came outside to ask if she could help with holding her or anything. I was so grateful for her offer and took her up on it so I could pay and pack up. My baby then fell asleep in her arms! She continued to tell me to take my time and made me feel so looked after (as well as my baby!). I took the opportunity to go to the toilet and forgot sanitary products and just accepted I'd have to change later on but then (are these people angels?!?) saw they had sanitary products by the sink!! I could have cried in happiness. Also, they use hand cloths to dry hands instead of dryers or paper towels which is not only the most hygienic but the most eco friendly! Anyway, my husband came back from his Grandma's memorial to a quiet scene of me packing with the most kind hearted lady holding our sleeping bub. The other lady was so kind too and asked a few times if I wanted my food packed to take away recognising I wasn't able to eat a lot of it. They were both pure hearted angels. Thank you for saving the day ❤️ Side note, my friend was dairy free and was able to get what she needed with ease. She was offered dairy free butter too and the choice of having it on the toast or on the side, which was a great touch.

Nice restaurant tucked out of the way in Otley. The decor was more of a living wall with painted areas, which gave it a refreshing feel. The staff gave us time to view the menu, although on this occasion we only had drinks. Prices were very competitive. Hopefully, we'll be back to try the food menu.

Electrics your way were fantastic! I messaged in the morning to say that we had lost power to the sockets in part of the house. They responded quickly (within an hour) and arranged for the electrician to be with us the same afternoon. He was really helpful and made sure everything was sorted even though it meant staying late on a Friday. Very helpful and would definitely recommend!

Cannot rate David highly enough. Has a very positive attitude and is extremely professional. Having an older house no work here is straight forward and David takes these detours in his stride and does a super tidy job. Nice to see that there are some professionals out there that turn up when they say and do a quality job . Eg route cables correctly and provide excellent advice and recommendations to any issues and future work that might be needed

I struggled to find an electrician to restore electric to my garage as they would have to go under the floorboards. David just calmly and quietly got on with the job and restored and updated the lighting and electrics, explaining what was needed as he went along. He is very pleasant and hard working and I would highly recommend this firm.

Very pleased, very professional & very easy to talk to, explained what was needed and how much it would cost. The job was to install an electric cooker with extractor hood. Haroon responded very quickly and said he could squeeze me in. When he was on his way the kitchen fitters cut through the main cable for the house lights, I asked if he could also fix this issue and he said he would. Installed the cooker and set up the wiring for the extractor very quickly, then quickly sorted out the issue with the lighting. Really happy with everything including price. Fitters were also impressed.

Haroon is a top individual that carried out our work quickly and without fuss. As it happens, he went above and beyond when he came back to fix an issue caused by another contractor we had in at the same time that severed a live cable. Haroon was brilliant. He arrived when he said he would, he double checked what needed to be done, and then did a very professional and tidy job putting in three new double sockets and amending a light switch. He was polite and very friendly to chat with whilst he worked and even made a couple of suggestions regarding some other work being done. I would definitely recommend him, and would happily use him again if I needed more electrical work doing.

Mr Blinoks is Ideally situated beside the bus station and within the orchard gate. On a visit to Otley one morning I checked it out for the full english breakfast pancake. The apparent size of the pancake was slightly deceptive as although it seemed small it was deliciously filling. Julia delivered a very efficient and friendly service. All in all Blinoks is a pleasant café to visit, especially if you're waiting a long time for the bus.

Very tasty paninis, I had the tuna melt & my mum had the cheese & pickle, we both really enjoyed them. We also treated ourselves to the sweet pancakes, I had the lotus biscoff pancake & my mum went for the classic golden syrup, and they were so yummy & freshly made. It was great value for money because the portion sizing were generous! The service was super quick & the guy serving us was so friendly & lovely throughout. Highly recommend giving this little place a visit!

I could not recommend Fletcher Electric enough! Matt saved the day when our previous electrician dropped out half way through our kitchen renovation. He quickly got to grips with the wiring that had been installed by the previous electrician and clearly explained to us what work was outstanding. No question was too big or small for Matt and he spent a long time answering our queries. Matt was reliable, skilled, fairly priced and friendly. He even suggested ways to optimise lighting in our kitchen - which looks fab! Go with Matt, you won’t be disappointed.

Matt was recommended to us by our neighbour. He has been punctual and polite. The work he has undertaken has been carried out with minimal disruption and finished neatly with good quality products. All required certification has been provided promptly and submitted to the relevant bodies on our behalf.
