My experience of David and his team is that they go above and beyond to be helpful and engage for their students. My son attended Kip McGrath for 2 years during his A levels. We initially wanted help with the continuing development of his written English skills. His tutor provided much more, helping him not only with his English skills but also with his subject content and exam preparation. David and his team were genuine, caring and helpful to support my son in achieving his A levels. The centre is professional but has an important personal touch. I wholeheartedly recommend David and his team!

My son has Auditory Processing Disorder and struggles with learning. Math is his strong point but he still struggles with learning concepts. Kip McGrath has helped him get to a top class at school and helped build his confidence. He loves for achieving the next award. The teachers are amazing and understanding of his needs. Communication is great. I can't praise it enough.

My child loves attending her lessons, and the teachers are patient and encouraging. I highly recommend this place for learning.

David and his Team at Kip McGrath Letchworth have been extremely helpful in accommodating with session timings, and the tuition for my Year 2 son has been great, with him looking forward to attending each week! After 6 months the original gaps in English reading/ writing have closed significantly and brought him above the required level already. It provides personal tuition and support which one just cannot access in a school classroom!

NumberWorks'n Words is a lovely and supportive team for my son. He is now 11 and more than ready for secondary school. The way they work with children is amazing, my son feels so confident and his efforts and results are always very appreciated. I totally recommend. My son does English and maths always and sometimes we had to change the dates of the week, so he has seen most of the tutors, and he always comes back home with a smile on his face, talking about his accomplishments. Kumon has helped both my daughters to gain confidence and sharpen their mental arithmetic and resilience with regular practice. It has made a noticeable difference in making the transition from primary to secondary Maths. Peter has always been calm, supportive and encouraging when we attend each week. Homework was always a battle ground in our house and this was our reason for starting Kumon. The discipline of doing a small amount everyday, as well as the weekly check ins has completely changed our daughter's approach to work. She now completes her work independently without all the back and forth Peter has a fantastic way with the children; he really tries to understand them individually so they are encouraged and driven to progress. They all move at their own pace in a very supportive environment. Whilst Kumon has it's obvious academic benefits, for us it has been about a good attitude to work from a young age.

My daughter followed the Kumon programme during her last year at junior school and into her first year at senior school. There is no doubt that it helped her to become quicker and more accurate with her mental arithmetic.

We are very happy to see how our child in year 3 is progressing along since joining Stefanie's classes. We only have the experience of online classes since joining, due to lockdown and it's been very engaging. Looking forward to the in-person classes once everything reopens.

I have a 14 and a 9 year and to be fair i am so useless at maths that i cant help either if them. But Stefanie and her team can. Just what we needed. Stef was there during covid doing on line lessons, keeping them up to date. The classroom is friendly and welcoming with easy to understand homework that actually makes it fun. Parents evenings/afternoons, newsletters and a number of different ways to get in touch if there are any concerns. Very happy indeed and will be keeping both in up to and including GCSE and SATS. 100% recommend

Val was recommended by a friend who got her daughter through her maths gcse with a great pass. My daughter Jess has confidence issues, but Val goes out of her way to make Jess feel at ease. Jess also has a much clearer understanding of maths gcse now. Would highly recommend for maths tuition.

Val has been amazing at building up my Son’s confidence over the past couple of years. Val fills in the blanks that his school can’t. Val really does know my Son and understands how he thinks and is therefore able to get the best from him. He is able to confidently ask question without fear of recriminations or ridicule - not something he feels able to do at school. I really do feel he will achieve better in his GCSE’s because of Val. Can’t recommend her enough.

Got the job done for local 11+ admission. Only reason not 5 stars was that there could be better communication. We had to intervene to support the essay writing with direct parent tutoring, but rest of tests went fine. thanks VAKS!

Honestly the best tuition out there, they got me from a Predicted D to an A in a matter of months for my English GCSE- I was only expecting to leave with a C grade. The impact of this was long lasting as it helped me with my A levels and I am now going off to university. They are extremely friendly and understanding and suggest a number of resources which is just extra help to improve. They are the best tuition group out there, and I have unfortunately been through a fair few before reaching VAKS which do not even compare the the quality VAKS tuition can offer. Moreover, they are all extremely encouraging and believe that every pupil can succeed; even when they doubt themselves (which I certainly did) and go above and beyond in order to help every individual student achieve what they require, if not better. Worth every penny!
