My Daughter started with Lyn in September 2023. I am extremely pleased with her progress. In just over a year, her reading age has improved by 3 years and 2 months. My daughter has gone from having a reading age much lower that her actual age to now having a reading age above her actual age. Her grammar and punctuation has also improved a lot. Being dyslexic, my daughter struggles with spellings, but Lyn is doing a brilliant job helping her with strategies help her remember her spellings. Since she started tuition with Lyn, we have noticed her confidence improving. Lyn is a great tutor, I highly recommend her.

My son has been attending Lyn for just over a year now. We wanted to seek a tutor for him to prepare for 11+ exams which he will take later this year. We have been really pleased with his progress so far, his confidence has certainly improved and we have noticed improvement in his school reports. You need to make sure you keep up with home support, but Lyn makes it easy to follow how to do this with a variety of tasks set and support even outside of your weekly times. She provides additional knowledge of the upcoming exams and how to book mocks etc. He really enjoys the sessions and I am confident that he is in a much stronger position now for the examination.

Olly supported my son, who did his GCSE maths this June. The tutoring was fun and engaging whilst being student-led regarding what topics to cover each session. The reliable, consistent follow-ups on the same evening as the tutoring sessions were also invaluable. My son achieved a grade 6 and is now going on to do AS Core Maths, and Olly played a massive part in this as Maths was not his favourite subject! 100% recommend.

Lee-Anne's support and methods have been pivotal in lifting my daughter's maths grade. Flashcards were made each lesson and topics were ticked off methodically to ensure thorough coverage of the curriculum. An additional bonus was that she also really enjoyed the lessons! I couldn't recommend Lee-Anne more.

I couldn’t recommend Belle enough. When I started with her in September, I was really nervous and apprehensive about getting a tutor but decided to at least try one session - it’s safe to say she immediately made me feel at ease. She helped me so much with confidence, approach to different questions, general attitude and the maths itself. Both the 1-1 and group sessions were a perfect balance of having a laugh and chatting, and also head down working, which made the sessions so much more enjoyable and motivating. Belle really offered a listening ear whenever I was struggling, and couldn’t have been more accommodating with my learning difficulties. Another amazing thing about Belle was that if I didn’t understand something, she would approach it from a different angle and explain it in a different way which was something I’d never had from a teacher before as feel that usually a teacher would just explain it in the same way again, but Belle was different in this sense which really helped me learn certain concepts in a lot more depth and faster. Great tuition centre. The tutors are all great and friendly and it's surprisingly affordable. There is also plenty of parking in the back so it's also quite safe for dropping/picking up kids. Would definitely recommend The Tutoring Company to both parents and students.

We started with Learn Happy so that our girl could build confidence, speed and stamina in her work and she has definitely achieved in all these area. Her mind set is stronger, she believes more in her ability and her ideas. She is braver with her work and not afraid to get things wrong. Kate's Creative Writing summer course was a huge hit with my daughter. My son had Science and English tuition here during 2022. I can't recommend this place enough. He attended the Saturday group sessions as well as the 1-to-1. The tutors are diligent and they have a good process with regular testing of knowledge and attentive to each student's needs. The tutoring had been amazing , the teaching staff have been very approachable and will bend over backwards to help . The Kumon is really helping shore up my son's mental arithmetic and with that, confidence. The orderly, structured approach suits him and it's great to have the support of another, neutral (!) person in his Maths development. I would recommend it to anyone whose child's mental arithmetic needs strengthening.

Homework was always a battle ground in our house and this was our reason for starting Kumon. The discipline of doing a small amount everyday, as well as the weekly check ins has completely changed our daughter's approach to work. She now completes her work independently without all the back and forth Peter has a fantastic way with the children; he really tries to understand them individually so they are encouraged and driven to progress. They all move at their own pace in a very supportive environment. Whilst Kumon has it's obvious academic benefits, for us it has been about a good attitude to work from a young age.
