Lucy is brilliant. She has been supporting my daughter intermittently throughout year 10 and 11 across biology and chemistry. My daughter literally loves their sessions. She says lucy teaches her the “why” behind things as well as the “how” which makes things easier to understand and remember, as well as helping with revision techniques. I would really recommend her.

Lucy has been tutoring my son (Year 11) in the three sciences for the last year and is an EXCELLENT tutor.  She provides a fun and sociable environment in which students can learn and uses a variety of different approaches to get the information across; including practice papers, classroom quizzes, interesting games and online sites with exercises to test knowledge.  She is very good at simplifying information and delivering it in a way her students can understand.  My son regularly tells me that Lucy explains things much better than the teachers at school and the improvement in his recent mock grades reflect this! Lucy has a unique way of engaging her students and goes above and beyond to provide them with the physical information they need, and the motivation and confidence to do well in the subject. My son loves his weekly tutoring sessions and thanks to Lucy, now really enjoys science and has chosen to do Biology as one of his A-levels.

Lucy is an incredible tutor! She taught my daughter for three years , gearing up to GCSE exams at the end of Y11. As a result of the tuition, my daughter's Science grades increased significantly. More importantly - Science became from something sincerely disliked to great fun! The lessons with Lucy were looked forward too and thoroughly enjoyed. My daughter was doing online science quizzes, set up by Lucy, during the week, in anticipation of the Friday lesson, because she suddenly enjoyed science (especially Biology) but also because she genuinely liked Lucy and wanted to please her. They developed a wonderful bond and friendship which made Science enjoyable and when you enjoy something, you usually become good at it and the results come naturally. Lucy is magic and not because she teaches science so well (I suppose many tutors can do this) but because she inspires her students to love it - and not many people can do this!

Lucy has been a great support to my daughter who is a year 13 Biology A level student. Much of her A levels have been spent in lockdown however Lucy has provided her with the motivation to keep going, helping her challenge herself and provided valuable feedback in order to improve her knowledge and test results. Lucy is very approachable and teaches with patience and calmness.

Lucy is AMAZING. She is an incredible science teacher who engages, motivates and inspires her pupils to learn throughout bespoke and superbly planned/delivered lessons. Lucy tutored my son throughout his GCSE’s. She not only taught him ‘science’, but instilled self-belief and self-confidence in his own ability. She gave him her knowledge and empowered him to achieve the best he could. Science became enjoyable and fun. Lucy quickly understood my son and developed a trusting bond with him. Charlie thoroughly enjoyed his chats with Lucy and genuinely looked forward to them each week. She is incredibly approachable, flexible, patient, calm, caring and kind. I cannot thank Lucy enough for the incredible emotional support she gave to Charlie throughout what was a very stressful time. She is MAGIC.
