Janine's English sessions are quite simply excellent! She tutored by daughter in year 11 and she achieved fabulous grades. Janine's passion and knowledge for English shines through in every lesson. Engaging the students in ways that enable them to think deeply about structuring answers and understanding what is being asked of them. Janine taught my daughter English Language and English Literature during years 10 and 11. Her engagement and enthusiasm for English, because of Janine, developed well beyond what we were expecting. Our daughter actually looked forward to and enjoyed her sessions with Janine, often telling us she was the best and most effective teacher she had ever had. She became genuinely interested in the subject and went on to achieve her highest GCSE grade in English. I have been in education for over 30 years as a lecturer, and more recently as a secondary school Governor, and seldom have I come across such a successful and effective pupil-teacher relationship. Janine's tutoring is excellent, the structure of her sessions are constructive and concise. She elevates learning and identifies where extra marks can be picked up. She encourages students to think deeper and challenges their thinking in a positive way. Both my children were good at English but wanted to attend her sessions as they knew it would enhance their learning in both English and gain a better depth of writing skills in other humanity subjects. Her workshops near exams are really helpful for revision recap. I would highly recommend Janine's sessions and tutoring, she is honest and she will tell you what support she thinks your child needs.

Janine was an amazing English tutor for both my daughters . She managed to help my daughter overcome her belief that she was “not good at English “ and unbelievably achieve A* in both literature and language. She had a unique way of engaging with them and treating them like young adults whilst teaching them excellent methods and strategies to help them achieve better marks whilst increasing their confidence. I would say Janine is the best tutor in any subject we have ever used and I would highly recommend.
