“The friendliest golf club I've ever been to. None of the stuffiness you can sometimes get with golf clubs. When I arrived on my own, at least two people asked if I wanted any company (I didn't as I was waiting for someone, but lovely to be asked). The most amazing views whilst playing the course.”

“Attended for a 70th birthday with ~30 people, had a delicious 3 course dinner of arancini, chicken with vegetables and sticky toffee pudding. All were delicious. Red and white wine on table also very high qualitg. Private room with view out over course. Big car park. Nice atmosphere and attentive staff. Really enjoyed it and would recommend for a special occasion large group booking. Golf course looked good, which I hope to come back and play”

“I've played plenty of golf courses over the years and came back here. Good course, well maintained, true greens, most of the time, very friendly bar and members. The first 6 holes are a challenge so get through those and then enjoy the rest. They have done a lot of work in recent years on drainage so worth considering through the winter when other clubs are unplayable. The day rate guest fees are too low and don't reflect the quality of the course in my opinion.”
Headingley Golf Club
Headingley Golf Club, Back Church Ln, Adel, Leeds LS16 8DW, UK

“A course of two halves. The course starts on the old part, with a mature feel, clever routing, and interesting topology. But after 4 or 5 holes you cross the road into a newer field where the routing is straight back and forth, and the feel is much lower quality. It doesn't help as well that it's overshadowed by a huge landfill site with diggers running all day long right up against the course. Eventually back over the road for the last 5 or 6 holes which are very strong again. Headingley pitches itself as a £100 green fee. It's an ok course, but sadly the new holes, and the landfill let it down. There are better options nearby for £100, and for half that.”
