Fun course...good shape...a bit confusing as 3 9's so always around people and other holes. Would come back. Played it in a 3 club wind which always takes away a little something. Great views.

Best welcome to date…beautiful link course, with the Isle of Wight views. A big shout of to Christie in the pro shop who went up and beyond to help my partner and I find a good place for NYE. Also Graham Pole for his generosity in buying us a pint after our first game here, as the bar was closing with only cash payments. We will defiantly be back to play the final 9 soon. Sam & James 😃

We are members anyway, and to be honest it's a very special place to visit. The sea view, Christchurch Bay, Needles in full view of, is stunning! Brendan for us being front of house, he is absolutely key to our experience, very witty, very hard working and attentive, along side a great team effort in general. We love it here, and will be forever regular visitors.

Played Stroller & Needles. Both incredible views and challenging holes. Stroller better of the two and harder. Lots of bunkers and some difficult hole layouts on both. Greens were a1. Clubhouse really cool. Just a fun place to play and challenging. Lots of par 5s and long challenging ones. The bunkers need the sand loosening though because they were almost all playing really shallow and hard and it was hard to take sand. Most of the sand underneath top thin layer was compacted, not loose. Apart from that it was awesome. This place is amazing and such a cool quirky club. Will definetly be returning at some point with other family/friends. Thanks a lot

Great golf course quite challenging on some hole's, super condition and excellent value for par 3 18 hole course. Club house staff very friendly and welcoming as were the other golfer's at the course. Highly recommended.

A nice looking course and challenging at this time of year. Thankfully, all holes were open but quite confusing with what holes to go to next, doesn’t seem very practical at times, especially for first-timers. We didn’t enjoy the greens due to them actually being painted. The green paint had actually dyed my white head covers by the end of the round. Looking forward to seeing how the course plays in the summer.

I've been a member here since this spring having waited a for the conversation from a 9 hole. I've enjoyed the course in both summer and now the autumn. I'm loving it and look forward to the completion of the new sections. For me its got all sort of challenges and styles of course in one. The maturity of the old course has been cleverly incorporated into new and I can see it getting better and better. Some great views over Hampshire and the lakes on the course. Agree with the other reviews being impressed with continuing condition of the greens and course in the wet. Shotgun tomorrow morning and it's full! I'm not sure what a green keepers revenge is though.

What an experience. The course is laid out over a large estate around the cricket stadium. Lots of variation, no two holes alike with good course management needed to get a good score. We always walk the course, but we could justify a buggy here if we wanted. We visited in January after some bad weather and found only one winter tee, no temp greens, and firm fairways. It's a real treat for this time of year. Great round had and will be returning soon

Great little course and you rarely play from a flat lie which will improve your game. Several par fours that are reachable in one for the bigger hitters but enough tricky holes to keep it interesting. No lush fairways as it’s a Forest course, but ‘pick and place’ all year round. I’d give the course a 7/10, but the clubhouse and the members a good 9/10. The affordability of a round and the wildlife make it well worth a visit.

II absolutely loved it, excellent value for money. Played two rounds while I was on holiday. The scenery is stunning, with wild horses running everywhere, beautiful. The staff were very friendly, and other than a few hoof prints on the greens, the courses are in good condition :-)

Some great holes As with other courses where cattle roams, it is very wide open, the fairways are undefined and the greens a touch slow with the odd hoof mark. If that isn’t a deal breaker, this is a very enjoyable golf course. Clubhouse facilities more than adequate.

This is a lovely place to play golf. Pro shop and clubhouse very welcoming and the catering good, plentiful and reasonably priced. The fairways are well covered and generous and the greens are very good, some borrows and slopes quite subtle, others not so subtle. Not overly long, the fairways are quite generous but there is plenty of woodland to assist in losing the ball. Most greens are well bunkered but the sand is good and consistent. We really enjoyed it. Dull day but that didn't detract.

Great course, good condition for the time of year and even had decent weather

One of the best courses I’ve played on in the area. It’s really well kept and looked after. Friendly members and well run bar. The course has 2 long par 4s, but present other challenges on the shorter holes so provides a good balance. If you play in the mornings and evenings you’ll often find deer wandering the course.

My son (HC6) and myself (HC12) played 3.34pm tee midweek. Although we played on a windy damp afternoon, we really enjoyed the course. It was immaculately presented from the off, very good tee boxes, well defined fairways and great greens. Well worth the green fee, we booked through golf now and saved significantly from the club price.

Had a great society day here a week ago,course tough but in good condition,new bar and catering facilities very well presented, little confused as to why no buggies is the only issue.

Driving range good and price for balls good. The course is ok, it could do with better drainage and some TLC around the greens but a good test of golf. The cafe, clean, hot food, nice atmosphere and your made to feel welcome.

Played 3-11-24. Course in decent condition after much rain. Winter tees (mats) on some holes. Best book early if you can at weekends as gets very busy. Pictures of 2nd and 6th holes but there isn't much more water! Front 9 much longer - and harder -than back 9 - you can just play back 9. Terrific breakfast which can even make up for playing badly!

Reasonably priced round, course mostly dry for the time of year, one or two muddy holes. Nice Parkland setting with an interesting layout, greens are small, reasonably playable but suffering from a fair amount of animal damage and un-repaired pitch marks. Some incredibly slow 4 balls seemingly oblivious of the backups they’re causing. Skipped a hole to get past and enjoyed an uninterrupted back 9. Green keepers and Club staff work hard to provide a course for all to enjoy and yet let down by the poor etiquette of others.

An amazing spread of food, catering for over 150 people. The staff were very helpful and attentive! Would highly recommend!

Amazing. We had our wedding reception here and I'm so pleased we did. From start to finish Ellie and the team helped in every way possible. They went above and beyond to makesure our day was perfect. You also have a beautiful view for perfect photos. The food was amazing we had the buffet and then the grand BBQ. Would highly recommend

What a cracking course and clubhouse. We had our first society day here today and the whole day was perfect. A short but tricky course, but the greens are fast, undulating and challenging. The breakfast and lunch were both top notch and there were 16 empty plates to prove it. A massive thank you to all the staff and the guy in the golf shop for making it such a great day. A big thank you to the chefs too as sometimes the back of house team don't always receive the recognition they deserve. Thanks RGC, a great day had by all 👍

Unfortunately the weather once again won the day , started raining on the 1st green. The sun came out near the end, this is the 5th time I have played Romsey and it rained every time. The course has some fantastic holes , because of the weather we did not see the the course at its best. The staff and members were vert friendly and welcoming. The meal was excellent. Hopefully the next time the weather might be as good as the food.

My husband and i held our wedding reception at Romsey Golf Club 3 weeks ago. It was fantastic, some of our guests even said it was the best reception they had been too! When we first contacted RGC a year in advance, we were planning this with Rach (who went on maternity and we were passed onto Kath.) Both ladies were incredibly helpful and wanted to give us the best day possible. Their communication was spot on, we never had to chase them and never did we have any concerns about anything at all. We cant thank everyone enough for all the hard work they put in to make it right. Kath sorted our table plan board, place cards, she set out all the linens, chair covers, sashes, the list just goes on! The golf club members themselves were also very lovely, we had many congratulations and compliments considering we were stepping on their toes. There was also compliment after compliment on the food, so a big thank you to the kitchen staff. Our DJ was hired through them, the catering was done by them, our drapes and up lighters were arranged by them, the LED dance floor was done by them! On top of all that... our wedding photos turned out beautiful, the venue and the grounds are just spectacular. If you need a venue for you wedding reception, you'd be missing out if you dont use them. Thank you to all the staff, who were there that night/night before and the lead up, we truly cant thank you all enough.

A good round of golf! A semi challenging one for a beginner like myself. The course was very playable, especially seeing that there had been a shed load of rain a couple of days prior. The greens weren't the best, but this is totally understandable again due to the conditions in the days before. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Would definitely come back for another round, and hopefully a lower score!!

A really lovely golf club. The Manor course is challenging but very rewarding, and the scenery is delightful. Food was very good. The Forest course sounds really interesting, too. A very friendly club.

Really enjoyable round of golf on the Manor course. Course was in great condition, pro shop very friendly and a welcoming 19th 👍🍺🏌‍♂️. I highly recommend playing here. We will be back 🙂

This is an excellent golf course for the money with some really good holes for both the competent and novice golfer, all the staff are pleasant and helpful and the club house is well equipped and I have to add the food is always good too ⛳🏌️😎👍

Lovely golf course,but I feel it's overpriced.

Arrived around 4.45 on a Wednesday afternoon, parked in the overflow car park as it's next to the 9 hole course. (There's plenty of parking). Booked a 5pm tee time. Reasonable price, friendly staff - no need for membership. Nice course. My only complaint was other players hadn't repaired their pitch marks on the greens. The pro shop often has offers for club regriping, balls, lessons etc. and trolley hire available.
