Recently become a member after some really pleasant rounds there. Lovely course & the 18 they have done a good mix with what they have. Clubhouse very friendly. Sadly broke my leg weeks after joining, that being said they were incredibly supportive and responsive as well as flexible. It’s appreciated and look forward to being healed and back using the club.

This is a scenic and hilly 9 hole golf course that's well worth a visit. There are some stand out holes (the 3rd and 4th spring to mind), some gorgeous views, and everyone I met there was really friendly. There are a couple of climbs that will need to be navigated, but if you're okay with that then I think you'll really enjoy Alton. The greens were in great condition, and the tees and fairways were decent too.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. On arrival, we signed in at the pro shop, the staff member working showed us around the clubhouse and directed us to the driving range, changing rooms and bar area. Which was a very nice touch. (Admittedly this was on a Monday morning, so wasn’t busy) The course was in immaculate condition, the bit of rain we had a few days back really helped to re-hydrate the course. We played the Purple tee boxes and on every hole the course demanded different kinds or shot shapes and challenges to get round the course. It really encourages you to play the course and not take out the “Big Stick” as many times as you normally may. The greens rolled true and again were in excellent condition. It is most certainly a course to be walked, but not for the faint hearted. The rolling hills and undulating holes means you rarely have an even footing. The half way house is decent. The classic Sausage roll & sandwich was welcome and tasted good. Overall, great experience and would recommend and go back again. Green fee: £132 Played the course: 01/07/2024

My son and I played on Bank Holiday Monday as visitors. Wow, what an awesome course you have at CHGC. Great variation of holes, which are well looked after, and some good scoring to be had on the shorter par 4's. 18 is a great hole to end on, but don't mess up your tee shot or you'll be in trouble. Club House, pro shop, changing room, bar staff and service was also brilliant. Watching people come in on 18 with a nice cold pint ended the day nicely. We will be back and have also enquired about membership to this fine golf club. Great work Camberley Heath GC.

Played today 23/12/24. Despite recent rain, the course was generally dry and in very decent condition for December. Always enjoy the diverse range of holes on this classic Harry Colt course.

Great course, beautiful pine tree lined holes with fantastic greens. Not the longest of courses but intelligent use of the land creates a challenge and blasting driver on each hole is not the way. Of course the choice available in Surrey for quality courses is so high but I would strongly recommend checking out Camberley Heath it’s really a gem.

Great little golf club. It was very wet the day I played (see pic) but once I was out in the course it was clear that the drainage was overly good as I hardly spotted a puddle and play was really good. Except in the bunkers of course, but they were redoing them anyway, probably for this exact reason. Anyway, great facility and will be back. Good selection of beers in the clubhouse and Lasagne was plentiful and spot on after a wettish round of play. Highly recommend 👍

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Golf Club, and I must say it exceeded all expectations. The course is beautifully maintained, offering both challenging holes and scenic views. Played this lovely course on February 5th....it was in super nick, unbelievably dry and firm under foot, greens running true and excellent tee boxes. Certainly a hidden gem in Hampshire and great value for money!!

me and my nephew played on Wednesday,,,,,, I only been playing 9 months,,,, Great up,,,,friendly staff on arrival, Course was tidy,the maintenance team were out redoing the bunkers,,, they green keepers were in and around most hole on the way out but communicated well so we can play through,,, Good mix of tech and the occasional long hole,,, We both really enjoyed it,,,😁 Will definitely return as the vibe was great,,,, Many thanks Weybrook park,,

A great value for a golf weekend from London. The course is enjoyable with some challenging traps—our group took about five hours to finish 18 holes. The next day, a tournament caused delays, and slow play ahead meant we only got through half the course. The hotel rooms are spacious, dinner was decent, but breakfast was a letdown. Overall, still a solid and affordable option for a golf getaway.

Fabulous place huge rooms, super comfy beds, very friendly helpful staff and beautiful grounds. Restaurant has excellent food, my poached eggs for breakfast were done to perfection.

Great hotel and Golf Courses! Stayed here in October with a group of golfers and had a great time. Extremely welcoming and helpful staff who really looked after our group on an Autumn Sunday evening. 3 challenging groups of 9 holes with different characteristics so both the rounds we played felt different. Overall a great break.

This will certainly become one of the"must play" courses in the South of England. Immaculate greens and superbly sculptured holes, combined with a glorious clubhouse experience.

Absolutely fantastic, the way they handled the arrival and the Wake as a whole was to be admired, This Golf Club appeared to be brand new but my reason for visiting was the Wake of a good friend and around 100 persons came from the funeral. Well done Basingstoke Golf Club you were brilliant.

I don't play golf, but was invited to a function at the club. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, and the carvery was amazing. I won't take up golf, but I'd definitely attend another event!

Well Manicured course, challenging! A little oasis has to be seen ( played ) to believe it. Driving range, pro shop, lessons available, food and drinks available, buggy hire. Can be disrupted due to wet weather but course management and improvement programme in place and under repair

With a thirty year gap between my recent visit and the last I will be playing here much more regularly. Great pro shop, Restaurant and Bar

Very good staff all round . We play most weeks , great course only snag is the rough (to long & to much ) . The greens are always in great shape , unfortunately I really struggle reading most putts , (but that's my problem) . Would recommend especially if you like a challenge.

Today we had a family lunch at Blacknest Golf and Country Club, which was exceptionally nice. The staff were professional and attentive, the food was extremely nice and certainly tasted superb. Given the circumstances of the golf course renovation a real hidden gem well worth a visit. Mike S

Came in for lunch with my husband last month and it was amazing. We sat outside in the sun and had a glass of wine watching the world go by. Dave had the fish of the day (fish and chips) and I had the mushroom pasta. We shared some arancini also. The food and service was incredible and we will definitely be back soon!

Most stunning wedding venue around. Staff were amazing. Massive shout out to Vicky who helped me out as I was part of the bridal party. Everything was truly amazing. Rooms was clean and tidy. Food was brilliant and the location is stunning.

Leaving this review very much as a beginner - and my experience at this club was fantastic. Lovely staff, great facilities and the course itself compact and challenging too. There is a driving range, a chipping area and also a practice green for putting which really helps before you start your round. The bar for afterwards is decent too. As somebody new to golf, this was exactly what I needed as an introduction to a ‘proper course’ and will continue to use it as my game improves. 18 hole courses have a lot to live up to when I’m eventually ready for the step up.

A nice little 9 hole course, tricky and challenging with narrow fairways where balls will be lost. Greens are generally in good condition, a credit to the greenkeeper. It is prone to waterlogging at times in the winter due to its location though. Membership is reasonable, and it's a very friendly club. Non members can play on a visitors ticket.

Visited Wayne on the driving range late night opening. Great inexpensive range, great for practice. As ever, Wayne's on hand for a chat between his booked lessons. A hidden gem in the area and very reasonable prices all round. Wayne's new teaching bay, come and see.

I have been fortunate enough to stay here several times a year for many years with work and have seen it in every season, absolutely beautiful hotel & stunning grounds. The food is great, relatively decent price point too. Some great walks nearby if you are a keen walker, and lots of wooded areas to walk through and explore, seems to be very popular with mountain bikers as majority of the surrounding area is relatively flat. It's a short walk into Mortimer too which has a handful of cosy traditional pubs which is great. Personally I haven't had played the golf course here but I do hear very good reviews about it. The mansion house rooms are immaculately clean, very spacious too. It has plenty of outdoor seating and a separate terrace area which is lovely in summertime. The team here cannot do enough for you, always super friendly, polite and courteous. Really cannot fault the place at all. Definitely worth a visit!

Lovely arrival up long drive. Accommodation widely spread on site so long walk from room to dining room, ok in summer but in cold and wet unpleasant. Upgraded room in main house was barren and soulless. Only one chair. No slippers or bath robes, toiletries in big containers you can't reach from bath. Mugs for coffee/tea dirty. Poor view of bins/work area. Staff very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Dining room cold, we asked to move away from big single glazed windows and service beyond slow, Food was delicious, thank you chefs. Food for conference less good and cold, Swimming pool awful. Downstairs, dull dingy, not inviting at all, had expected a really good spa area.

Stayed on the 19th of January 2024 following the tragic death and funeral of my 47 year-old brother. The stay was just what we needed and the staff at the hotel made it a really pleasurable stay for both the adults and the children. Beautiful, clean, well-equipped hotel. Lovely grounds and the mansion is gorgeous! The suite (room 201) we stayed in was both luxurious and well-equipped as well as spacious and nicely situated. The bathroom products are high quality and smell great and there was an excellent provision of water, tea, coffee etc. Wonderful customer service start to finish, especially from Kelly Norris and some lovely little goodies for the children who have also been through a lot this last few weeks in losing their uncle. They had big smiles start to finish and made some lovely memories. Food in The View is delicious. The shoulder of Beef was immense and the breakfast provided is second to none. Bar meals in Benedict’s were good too. Plenty on the menu for children and lots of space for them to explore as well as a good sized pool. Our children loved their stay so much our daughter made a thank you note. We really appreciated all the little touches to make our stay special and cannot fault the hotel or the staff. We will definitely be returning and if we weren’t married already, I would be suggesting we have our wedding there too. It’s really worth a visit!

What a fantastic team! A lovely birthday party, with good food and outstanding service! Credit where credit is due, the service is a hell of a lot better than when I use to work (customer facing lol) there! Well worth a visit or consideration for wedding/party venue, Aaron, Charlotte and (please forgive as I didn’t catch her name but she is in the pic) were incredible (both friendly and professional) and made the day feel even more special!
