Lee and the guys have completely transformed my garden. Gone went overgrown, weed filled grass and bedding areas. Then they managed to get out the remains of a hefty bush that I’d been unable to remove. And in went a decking area opening up a corner that previous housed a horrible metal shed. They created a raised border area with sleepers, astro-turfed where the grass was and paved on top of the horrible concrete that was previously there. It looks amazing. But more importantly, the guys did all this in 4 days and didn’t cut corners. They arrived by 8.30 each day and worked well into the afternoon. Even on the first day when I was driving back from London, the guys did what they could without access to electric. I couldn’t be happier, and for the first time ever it feels like a proper liveable space I can enjoy with my friends and family.

I used this company to remove my old lawn that was in disrepair and replace with new lawn. The ground underneath when they removed the old lawn was pretty much solid concrete so they removed that, replaced with good quality soil, levelled off the garden completely before laying the fresh new lawn. The lads were professional, great with communication and advised exactly what they needed to do before completing any work and the work was priced fairly. The results were amazing and still even through winter the lawn is amazing, top quality work and service from a top quality company, would highly recommend - 5*

We commissioned Bestall & Co to design and build the Experience Peak District & Derbyshire Show Garden for RHS Chatsworth 2017 on behalf of Marketing Peak District & Derbyshire. The concept and finished garden completely fit the brief that we gave them; it was a great pleasure to overhear visitors to our garden at RHS Chatsworth discuss how the formal Italianate garden and the open pasture, complete with metallic cows, was a great representation of the formal gardens of the area's stately homes and the beautiful open landscapes of the Peak District and Derbyshire. Bestall & Co were a delight to work with, bringing passion and enthusiasm to the project.

I can’t speak highly enough of Lee and his team. Lee is a brilliant designer and came up with some really clever ideas for our garden we would never have thought of. He and his team then brought those to life with an impressive 3D animation that meant we could see exactly what the end result would look like. He then guided us through the design process, helping us choose materials and planting schemes that would enable us to stay within budget and still look great. When the time came for the actual work to be done, the team that came to do it were absolutely brilliant - they worked so hard and you could see they took incredible pride in their work and weren’t happy unless it was perfect. Plus they were lovely guys to have around! We kept Lee involved throughout this process and I’m really glad we did...he was on site every week ensuring the garden was being delivered in the way he envisaged and, when little unexpected obstacles arose, he was able again to help come up with smart solutions and advise the landscapers to ensure it all stayed true to the original vision and, crucially, in budget! Big big thanks to Lee and everyone who worked on the project - we are delighted!

Lee and his team were amazing to work with and delivered an incredible garden for us at Chelsea Flower Show. The design fulfilled the brief completely and we loved it so much we brought as much of it as we could back to Covent Garden. Can’t speak highly enough regarding Bestall. I had an urban yard which has been transformed into the coolest secret garden in all of Sheffield’s inner city streets. It is a hidden treasure and the perfect retreat. Right from its inception Bestall have been Fantastic. Starting with Lee as an inspiration to create something special to the developing and maintaining with Jamie and Tom. I needed a rear fence replaced and was so happy with the results that I had the team back for a garden clearance, which was exceptional and has transformed both front and back gardens. Wouldn't hesitate to contact them again when more work is needed.

Well!!! After much searching to no avail was recommended this fab Company and not looked back. We required reliable conscientious & reasonable cost regular lawn mowing work to a v large garden. Excellent communication to & fro and a visit from Jolyon to get this work started. Good price quoted. The chaps been twice, such excellent quick & professional work carried out by these helpful friendly guys, even included the edges wow! So now we’re in the throes of estimates for fence replacements. Bring my kids here quite often to do arts and crafts as well as explore music nearly every Saturday at the moment. Our eldest has additional needs and needs a lot of sensory input as well as relative quiet time. This place gives both. When she doesn't wish to participate in activities she can wander around, exploring the area with lots of nature around without me worrying too much if she wanders too far away. The area is secure and no-one can enter without a person in charge knowing (having let them in themselves). A wonderful little haven in a busy area of traffic (though you rarely hear the traffic), it's almost like an oasis of natural paradise. My kids love it 😀 I would definitely recommend this for parents who have children with additional needs and need some worry-less bit of time. Some of the areas sre tricky for prams or wheelchairs but there are plenty of areas that are very friendly. When the weather is fine/great activities are held outside. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I believe it is run by volunteers and there are toilet facilities available.

I took part in an Forest Schools training course here. The gardens are wonderful and the staff and volunteers as incredibly helpful and knowledgeable.

Being 408 miles from Preston I texted Artificial Grass Direct to see whether they would deliver to the North Highlands of Scotland. This was Sunday afternoon and I got an immediate reply saying yes. I then got a call on the Monday to advise that they could deliver to me on Tuesday. I am now in possession of 48 composite decking boards. What a fantastic service. I have purchased these products before and they are excellent quality and good value and for £19.99 delivery to a remote part of Scotland is a bargain. Thanks to Colin, Angela and Peter. Originally ordered through B&Q however sent it back due to it being of poor quality with the backing flaking and coming away from the fibres. Therefore, I ordered from AGD the lawn was called Chelsea 38mm pile. I'm more than happy with the quality and the price, 5 stars "thank you"

A huge thank you to the Urban Gardeners team for transforming our garden here in Peckham, SE London. The garden was previously in very bad shape (rotten decking, steps, and dying / weed-ridden lawn. The team did an amazing job of clearing everything out (including removal of a tree!) and then building an entirely new and extended hard-wood deck and stairs / landing and also replacing the lawn with the beautiful stripes you can see! Communication throughout from Plamena was great and with the team on the ground they were very good at asking questions and making small adjustments as required throughout the process. I requested a few small changes to the initial quote and this was dealt with in a very friendly and flexible way. The team were very pleasant throughout, got rid of all the mess, and also did the whole thing for a very fair and reasonable price. Usually my Dad takes care of the garden, but because of his recent health issues the garden had become really overgrown. I tried to tackle it myself, but I didn’t have the right tools for the job. I started looking for a company to clear the garden, which is when I discovered Urban Gardeners online and contacted them. Correspondence with Plamena was superb: all emails were answered promptly and professionally. Pricing was clearly explained and I was happy to proceed with a mutually agreed date and time. The two gentlemen that came to the house were polite, considerate to our home, and amongst the hardest working people I’ve ever encountered. The weather was really hot on the day they came, but they still grafted despite the heat. They did an excellent job of clearing our garden, and were done within an hour (initially we thought it would take 3hrs). So even with us also paying for removal of the garden waste, it was still cheaper than we expected. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. I’ve already recommended them to several of my colleagues and clients. If in the future I can persuade my Dad to pave or turf the garden this is the company I’ll be calling.

Absolutely well worth the visit. The hall itself is so good to walk round, especially with all the information boards around. Really helps you picture what it would have been like in all it's glory. The grounds and quarry garden is absolutely breathtaking so much to see and definitely worth the price.

Regular visitor to Belsay Hall & Castle .. It's always a pleasure to visit. Ample parking, pleasant, friendly, and helpful staff. The hall is a lovely walk into history exploring the well-preserved and renovated rooms and cellars. The walk to the castle is beautiful through the wonderful gardens and paths cut through a man made canyon. It's quite breathtaking when the fauna is in full bloom. The castle itself is stunning and a spiral staircase that may be a bit of a challenge to some leads up to the small roof, which in turn offers up some beautiful views. There's a newly built children's play area which is well set out for younger kids and there's seating areas too next to a cafe, which I haven't tried but it looked nice. I've been visiting here for years and will probably continue to do so. Dogs welcome but not inside the hall.

This is a little gem of an English Heritage property with a mansion house with a quirky Greek interior which is still in the process of being renovated to a walk through a picturesque quarry leading to the castle. Nothing like I'd expected to see, it's more in keeping with a National Trust probably and certainly well worth a visit, it's a shame English Heritage don't have more little well kept gems like this. It actually has a shop, tea rooms and immaculately clean proper toilets.

Booking online is easy and does say a few pounds. Very sad that the Cafe at the start next to the entrance and near the Hall, was shut the day we went, with no reason given - it really messed up our planned day. The Cafe at the other end, near the Castle, was open but is expensive, it was also too warm inside the day we went and only had a handful of tables outside. Maybe take a picnic with you and sit on the grass by the Castle or kids play area. There was also an ice cream van there. Both the Hall and the Castle are empty, in case you imagined they were like a National Trust place and filled with furniture etc. The Castle is a ruin. Both buildings are well worth looking around but didn’t take a lot of time. There are some lovely flower beds and a good array of different plants, especially when including those in the Quarry Garden. Our main reason for visiting was the Quarry Garden and it didn’t disappoint. It was cool, peaceful and by returning on the other less used pathway, we found a secluded bench on which to sit and eat our sandwiches from the Cafe. It is a great place for a gentle meander both through history & unusual gardens.

What an unusual find,very close to Corbridge and on a site above The Devil's Water river. A short uphill walk from the car park. Informative, quirky and artistic. Lots about plants used for culinary, medical and spiritual purposes from different countries and traditions. Numerous sculptures including a Spirit Henge and a Tranquility Pond. There's a Minotaur Maze without hedges so its not scary, and unusual Aeolian tubes which emit an eerie sound when the wind blows.A wild and natural feel, rocky paths or paths cut through long grass or narrow earth paths between herb beds. Chess, croquet and a small outdoor play area and musical instruments for children, who need to be closely supervised becauseof the natureof some of the plants. A small reception hut selling a variety of books, natural cosmetics , herbal teas etc. A few drinks and the odd snack available. I can recommend the Spicy Cacao drink. Cost £8 for adults £4 for children.I think small children are free. There is one spacious toilet on the site. Not really accessible for physically disabled people I would think. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

An incredibly peaceful environment, I could have easily spent hours there however I only stumbled across this garden 40 minutes before it closed. I left there feeling at peace while also considerably more knowledgeable on our planet’s plants and their uses. I also purchased a traditional plant medicine for my hay fever which I’m excited to try out. I’ll be back as soon as I can, and will be recommending it to all of my friends.

A lovely visit, the sun was shining which added to our sauntering and ambling around for a few hours. It didn't seem very big when we arrived but the space meanders in lots of directions. The tranquil pond is definitely worth sitting by, beautiful views and very peaceful. Lovely volunteers who were more than keen to talk about the history of the place, and the ongoing work. Herbs in abundance, the lemon balm especially and the smells were just gorgeous. Lots of quirky statues and themed areas. No tearoom, or cafe on site. A great visit, thank you.

What a delightful place. We met Elaine one of the original founders. We surrendered into the healing magical space with all our senses. Uplifting, rejuvenating, and peaceful. We picked up some herbal remedies and the book Grow Your Own Physic Garden Some parts are a bit shabby… overlook them and connect with the plants and rich energy of this place and allow it to touch your heart and soul. Highly recommended

Just had a garden office installed by Oeco. Went for a modestly sized 3.5m x 3m Canopy Classic. I think it looks fantastic. The installation guidelines suggested 1-2 weeks but the two guys had it built in 3.5 days, without any compromise to quality. The foundation was already there, but even so, I was impressed by their efficiency. We had to make some design tweaks and this was no problem at all for the fitters. They also left the area just as tidy as before they arrived. Overall very pleased with the whole process. One suggested improvement is to provide a digital design of your garden room if you need to submit for any planning purposes (I had to do this myself). Fully recommend Oeco to anyone.

We have been using our garden studio for a few months and are absolutely delighted with it. Excellent build quality and the very professional team of Lee, Ashley and James could not have been more helpful or accommodating. They checked every detail with us, giving us the benefit of their vast experience to get us to the right decisions every time. They and all the staff at Oeco definitely went the extra mile to not only ensure that we got the perfect building for us but to make the whole experience enjoyable and rewarding.
