Absolutely no hesitation in giving Stuart 5 stars. Extremely professional, excellent communication, competitively priced. Stuart and his colleague Craig did a number of jobs in my house in St. Albans in December 2024. I am very happy with the results and will be using Stuart again in the future.

We initially hired Rob to install light and power into our attic in prep for a combi boiler. His work was so good even the plumbers commented on it and said it was rare to find electricians who paid such attention to detail and quality . Rob came back after the plumbers had been to box things off, change over labels in our mains board and make sure everything was finished properly. I've since had him back to do two more small jobs and won't be looking anywhere else for an electrician. He is also exceptionally polite, well mannered and tidy. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending him.

Recently moved house and Rob has done several jobs for us... installing our electric radiators, new sockets and lighting in several rooms, testing and replacing our fuse box. He's always polite and friendly, comes on time and gets the job done. Fair on costs too. We've been very happy with all the work done. He's forthcoming with advice and ideas for our home and always goes above and beyond to make sure everything looks smart once he's finished. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent Electrician Came to do various jobs such as put in new outside lights, one of which is on automatic light sensor so when the sun goes down the external light comes on to light the driveway; he fitted a new outside garden electrical socket, changed and replaced some non-working light switches and a bathroom extractor fan. His work is very good and he pointed out where previous electricians had not earthed our wiring and had cut corners. It is good to know that all our new work is very safe. He works cleanly, is reliable, came on time, did a very good job and was a pleasure to have around.

Rob was able to come out to us with short notice and fixed our fuse board issue quickly and professionally. We would definitely use his services again.

Poped into the shop in St Albans on a Tuesday and the young lady I met was very polite and professional. Offered to send out a member of staff the next day to undertake a free assessment of my property for an ev charger install. Member of staff arrived the next day on Wednesday as agreed, very professional and knowledgeable. Received a very reasonable quote for the ev charger install by email on a Thursday morning after an on site assessment the previous day. I immediately rang to confirm I was happy with the quote and was thereon offered an installation of my chosen EV Charger on the same day. Within 30 minutes an electrician arrived at my property and installation was completed an hour later. Tradesmen get a lot of stick for being unreliable but these guys are top class and very professional. I would highly recommend their services.

Podium EV charger, cabled under the floorboards - v professional, worth paying more than a standard sparky for their knowledge of the products & their end to end service. The undertook a site survey before quoting to ensure a smooth install, recommended pre-work needed and discussed options. They uncovered an issue with our main house earth and took the lead with resolving it with UKPN and didn't invoice til it was all sorted and up and running. Very happy I chose them. George to the rescue! We have been without heating for 2.5 weeks. We knew it was an electrical problem but our boiler engineer not only wrongly diagnosed what the problem was, but wanted to charge us £10,000 for a new boiler! Although George did not know the system, he diligently worked his way through every single wire, testing everything thoroughly until he finally found the fault. I thoroughly recommend Ben for your electrical problems. He worked quickly and carefully for us, fitting under-cabinet LED lights in the kitchen, cleared up quickly and took away the pieces he'd removed, for recycling. Great value for money.

Ben did a great job replacing our kitchen extractor fan and changed 2 bedroom ceiling lights. He is punctual, efficient and reliable. Would highly recommend for any electrical work.

Call out LJ electrical to install a new socket for a tv due to us rearranging the flat, outstanding service very professional efficient and quick.

I shouted who's the Sparky in Screwfix as I'd seen a very cool logo on a van outside, that's when I met Luke (the L in LJ), the rest is history. I explained I'd been looking for an electrician and needed some work doing, but as I was going away he said "no problem I'll call you when you're back and pop round and have a look, I honestly though well he won't call, he did! And from that point on he and James have completed all the electrics in our new kitchen project, including a new fuse board (work of art see the photo) that James (the J in LJ) painstakingly wired. They have put power in the garden shed, and with the upgraded fuse board we no longer have any safety hazards. And they sorted all the safety certificates for the house. Yesterday they completed removal of all the old kitchen electrics and installed new equipment ready for its use as an office. So with the work complete it's only right to share the experience, as I know how hard it is to find a good electrician. I know I'm a fussy customer (a bit of OCD going on) but they have worked so hard to meet our deadlines and changing specifications, without complaint. They always explained why they do things in a certain way, and to be brutally honest I cannot fault them, both in the standard of their work and communication with us. So if you need an electrician I would look no further than LJ Electrical!
