I had the full English breakfast at Thyme today. To say it was delicious is an understatement. Every part of the meal was top quality, and it was cooked to perfection. I didn’t catch the owner’s name, but she is obviously much more than a line cook, she’s a chef, and very good one. I’ll be back, often! Highly recommended!

Greg was professional, polite and friendly through the entire process. He fitted a set of 8 overhead lights for us and his service was knowledgeable and efficient. The job was done much faster than we anticipated and for a very good price. Can't recommend him highly enough, he's now our go-to electrician.

Work carried out: Installed armoured cable from house to provide electricity to greenhouse and garden room. From start to finish Greg was polite, friendly, knowledgeable and very efficient. The quality of work is excellent, and I was very impressed that he cleaned up when the work was finished. I highly recommend and it is very reassuring to know such a great electrician for any future work. If any friends or relatives are looking for an electrician, I will be passing on Greg's details.

Calder Valley Electrics Greg your customer service is Second Best to None. We had tenants moving in 5 days one phone call next day you had our electrics checked and got the certificate that evening. l was so impressed with your efficiency, I asked if you could check the radiators you said only one needed changing you were so honest, but we decided to up garde all of them in the flat. Well 2 days later radiators we wanted were bought and fitted sorted our bathroom lights too. The whole job so reasonably priced too. Thank you with gratitude you will never know the frustration and stress l had for being let down by others last minute to actually find someone so sincere and helpful like you.

I initially enquired with Kane Electrical for a variety of big and small jobs I needed at my home. From the initial quotation to the finished job I just cannot fault Ray. No nonsense, punctual, hard working and above all honest, with superb workmanship and straightforward advice at every step - he is what every tradesman should strive to be. The quality of his work speaks for itself. Ray was incredibly neat and tidy for what was at times a messy and awkward task and when I added even more work to an already long list he got on with it faultlessly. I am over the moon with the completed work and the small touches, pointers and helpful advice from Ray, along with minimal disruption were all very much appreciated. Searching for a quality tradesman of any kind can be a real headache but be absolutely assured, if you are in need of a reliable, trustworthy and highly skilled electrician then look no further, Ray is the chap you need to call. What a man!! We got Ray to do our garden lighting. He came exactly when he said he would and quoted us a really competitive price. He was so approachable-he altered things when we asked and was so flexible in his approach. The results are absolutely fantastic. Ray fully rewired my parents house and did a fantastic job in super quick time. He made sure everything was perfect and that my parents were happy every step of the way. The price was also extremely good. Highly recommend him for any works you may need.

My husband and I visited for the first time today having recently moved from Leeds to Halifax. We were hoping to find a new favourite Sunday roast spot, and we certainly have! We both opted for the roast pork belly and agreed it was one of the best roast dinners we've ever had at a restaurant: perfectly cooked pork belly, generous portion size and delicious sides- we both loved the cauliflower cheese. Service was attentive without being too much, and the restaurant's setting in the historic Dean Clough was the cherry on top! We're already planning our next visit, thank you True North :)

Paulicarus fancied a proper Sunday roast dinner so booked a table here. Friends had been before. Sat in what apparently had once been Europe's largest carpet factory. Certainly a huge building. A starter and main for £25. Two lamb and two beef. Good veg selection. We had starters of one wings, one paté and two chose asparagus and sea bass. All excellent. Good service and good wine. No real ale so Paulicarus had a £6.00 pint of lager. Very attentive service.

Great restaurant, great service, great food. I went with a group of 26 and I couldn't fault the service and food. All was cooked fresh and we were all served quickly and efficiently. Everyone praised the food and they catered for vegetarian and gluten free dishes with no fuss. Sam was great with the pre booking correspondence and helpful on the day. Great menu choices including beer battered fish and chips, falafel burger, chicken tikka skewers, roasted carrots and cous cous, morroccan lamb flatbread, to name just a few. Reasonable price's

Good restaurant in Dean Clough mill complex. We called in with no appointment, and there was no problem getting a table. It was a quiet early afternoon. The staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. The food we chose was tasty and all prepared on site; there was one slight issue with one of our dishes and the staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating in resolving the problem, this was appreciated but not expected from us. True North is definitely worth a visit. It's a quality restaurant serving good quality food; this is our second visit and won't be our last.

The food here is absolutely fantastic, whether it's breakfast, Sunday lunch or an evening meal. This place is highly recommended, and I have been several times and will be back again in the near future. It's located in the Dean Clough Mill, complex, free parking. You will not be disappointed.

We went there for a lunch with our daughter, we were first in when it opened and were greeted straightaway by a really nice young lady who fully explained the options. As the food was cooked fresh I couldn’t get the beef stifado - one of my favourites, but not to worry. The food came and it was brilliant so fresh, tasty plentiful- it was amazing and I would highly recommend a visit. Well done everyone there.

Had a lovely relaxing lunch today with a friend. The food was amazing, lovely attentive staff and relaxing atmosphere. Was served a delicious complementary Baklava with our coffees. Really pleased with the results. My new teeth look so natural, which is the look I was going for. Unless you saw my smile before, you wouldn't know I have had them do. The process was very smooth from first consultation to the work being carried out. Sia recommendation of cosmetic bonding were spot on as he knew how I wanted my teeth to look once the work was completed. I highly recommend Sia and the professional work he does.

I would highly recommend Dr Sia Lord as his work is amazing!!! I have never been happy with my teeth but since Sia fixed them with veneers and teeth whitening, I can now smile confidently! Can’t thank him enough! He is super friendly and could not have asked for a better dentist experience.

Dr Sia lord is an absolutely amazing dentist! He made me feel so relaxed and even had me laughing even though I’m terrified of dentists! The treatment I had was 100% painless and better still NO needles! I’ve recommended him to all my friends and will carry on. Always replies to messages on Instagram quickly and helpfully! Sia has changed my life! I came to Sia for a composite bonding smile makeover, to make my smile more even and to close gaps. The whitening treatment before the bonding was excellent and I noticed a huge difference very quickly with no sensitivity issues, which was surprising seeing as I have sensitive teeth. The bonding treatment itself was completely painless (again surprising!) and Sia worked his magic in a matter of 2 short hours and made sure I was comfortable throughout. I couldn’t believe the difference when I saw my teeth afterwards - I’m no longer conscious of what my smile looks like in pictures or when I’m talking to people. I wish I would’ve had the treatment done earlier! I can’t recommend Sia enough - from the start of the whole journey with the initial consultation to beyond the bonding treatment, Sia will ensure you feel comfortable and are happy. Absolutely fantastic dentist! I could not recommend Dr Sia Lord Dentistry enough. From the consultation at the outset to having the deluxe whitening and composite bonding done the whole process was a breathe of fresh air! Sia listened to what I wanted to do with my smile and made sure that I came away with the perfect smile that I had asked for. All of it done was pain free too! He has given me the confidence to always be smiling! I am so unbelievably happy with my smile! If anyone is thinking about getting any cosmetic smile procedure done then this is the dentist for you he is both affordable and friendly! I will definitely not be going anywhere else!!

Having shopped around I found that Dr B Hussain at West vale dental surgery provided short term orthodontics. Having discussed the options available to me we felt Quick Straight Teeth (QST) was best suited to me. We initially predicted 6-9 months but my treatment was completed in about 5! Really happy with my result. It was finished off with some tooth whitening and edge to edge composite bonding. Great at his job! Highly recommend!

This Guy is the kindest, most helpful and knowledgeable guy I had the good fortune of calling in my hour of need. Sunday evening emergency and he helped out immediately and diagnosed over the phone and got my electricity on again. He knows what he is doing and I’m glad it was him I called. He saved me a hefty call out fee and charged a very reasonable amount for the phone diagnoses. Thank you so much

Excellent service. Called today after house flooded, received good advice over the phone and promised to call back later and come out. Received a call at the time promised, and the work was completed swiftly. Everything was explained concisely without jargon (and no condescending ‘tradesman to woman’ stuff, if you’re female you’ll know what I mean!). I feel the price was reasonable considering the swift, skilled service. Receipt/invoice provided for insurer. And to top it all off, a very friendly and personable chap. Really pleased with everything and can recommend confidently.
