Central Kitchen is our absolute favorite go-to brunch spot in Birmingham! The food is simply delicious (I especially love their English Breakfast and House Omelette). The staff is always super friendly and makes you feel welcome. The service is quick and everything is just perfect. I look forward to visiting again!

Visited here on Thursday, mid-morning in early December. Had a short wait outside until a table was available. Staff were very friendly and chatty and this is a very popular place. Good range of breakfast/brunch/lunch options. Food arrived quickly and was tasty. Thank you, keep up the hard work.

Went here for the first time for brunch after recommendation. Was excellent. From moment we walked in to being sat down, even though it was heaving. Great service. Ordered at the counter and they were really pleasant. Brought our drinks over timely and breakfast came within minutes. Excellent presentation as well as taste. They asked if we were ok and everything fine with food. Nothing over the top, just the right level of service and attentive detail. Really impressed. Can see why this place is so busy and popular. Definitely will be returning. They have a mixture of breakfast and lunch dishes. Great selection of teas and coffees as well as a small range of smoothies and mocktails. Prices pretty reasonable. All round 5 stars!

Review: A Delightful Brunch Date Spot Yesterday, we decided to try out Bloom for a halal brunch date. It’s a cozy spot that’s gained quite a reputation, so we were eager to see if it lived up to the hype. As soon as we arrived, we noticed how busy it was—always a promising sign. Despite the crowd, the line moved surprisingly fast, and the staff was impressively organized. While we waited, the lively buzz of conversations and the sight of colorful dishes being served heightened our anticipation. We ordered hot chocolate, vanilla latte, waffle chicken and croque Madame. We also couple of their pastries.The portion sizes were generous without being overwhelming, and the ingredients tasted fresh. The service was another highlight. Even with the packed house, the staff remained attentive and quick to address requests. Our food arrived in under 20 minutes, which is no small feat given how busy it was. If I had to nitpick, it would be the noise level. It’s not the place for a quiet, intimate conversation, but honestly, the energy felt infectious rather than overwhelming. Overall, Bloom delivered on all fronts: delicious food, great service, and a vibrant atmosphere. It’s definitely worth a visit, whether it’s for a casual date or a meet-up with friends. Just be prepared for a bit of a crowd—it’s popular for a reason!

I had a wonderful visit to Bloom today with my mum, auntie, and younger brother. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the lovely staff and promptly seated, which set the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable meal. The atmosphere at Bloom is perfect – comfortable, laid-back seating that makes it an ideal spot for a family outing. Plus, we found parking conveniently right outside, which made the whole experience even easier. The menu offers a wide variety of tempting breakfast and lunch options, as well as an impressive selection of drinks. We ordered the Full English Breakfast, Classic French Toast, and English Breakfast Tea. The food arrived quickly, piping hot, and just as delicious as we’d hoped. Every dish was perfectly cooked. Overall, we were all thoroughly impressed with the food and service. Bloom truly stands out as one of the best breakfast spots in Birmingham, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch breakfast or brunch experience. It’s definitely one of my top 3 spots in the city!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this charming little café, and I couldn’t recommend it more highly. The atmosphere is very cosy, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a delicious breakfast. The Turkish breakfast was beautifully prepared, the cakes absolutely delicious! Each one is freshly baked. The staff are also very friendly, adding to the overall warm and welcoming vibe of the place.

Located close to the fryer and clock coffee house. Small shop with a Lovely ambience, I tried the Milky tea (Somalian style), which tasted much like the karak desi chaii. Tried a selection of cakes.

The place is nice and clean. Love the interior. The food was nice, fresh and tasted good. Customer service was nice and friendly.

I absolutely love this coffee shop! I grabbed a tea to take home while watching the Tyson Fury fight, and it was absolutely perfect. The tea was fresh, flavorful, and made with care. Even though I didn’t stay to enjoy the cozy atmosphere, the friendly service really stood out. By the way, Tyson Fury should have won that fight! Highly recommend this place for quality drinks and great service!

I just keep coming back for more! Have tried a number of different coffees from the menu and pleasantly surprised with the Baristas skills every time. Glad this place has opened in my local area, it adds a much needed bit of class and elegance to the AG town centre. Customer service second to none and the coffee and cakes have been perfection every time. Even better than Costa Coffee down the road.

A bit quite when we went but a nicely presented place good range and something to keep the kids happy too. Comfortable seating and good capacity. Chai and paan a must.

Extremely clean, good atmosphere, Naz served us and was so lovely and welcoming. Naz also brought everything to our table and checked we was happy with the food🥰 The food was all fresh and can tell it was good quality. We paid under £10 for a breakfast and hot drink I was very happy with the price.

A lovely aesthetic shop. Beaufort decor; lovely high seat, so comfortable and cosy. Enough to have your own privacy. Ordered 3x donuts with tea. The donuts were freshly made. 2x lotus donuts and 1x marshmallows donuts. Tea was mediocre. It's not fresh karak chai; but rather just kept warm.

Served by a lovely girl today and got £5 whippy kinder Bueno one was amazing. Ordered also from uber a biscoff cheesecake and kinder Buenos sundae. Was amazing especially when we got it delivered. Nothing was smashed up and it was perfect. Thank you to the staff 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 my new go to for icecream now!

The local coffee shop, it does a nice smooth flat white, which is the best I have had in Birmingham so far. The service is very quick and friendly. Come in here for a coffee and breakfast on the weekend!

Their loaded eggs Benedict is absolutely brilliant. The long walk in the cold to get here was fully worth it. The crew are really nice as well and all of them made me feel very welcome.

This place makes one of the best if not the best chai lattes (with oat milk) that I’ve had. I love that it is an independent store and they have some nice meals on the menu. I had lamb bagel and hash brown fries (see photos and I had takeaway). I didn’t love the sauce that come with it and maybe it’s best to have on a pot in the side. But it was nice nonetheless. Staff are friendly and the venue is a nice place to sit and do work or have a little catch up with a friend but the space isn’t the largest. Only thing I’d warn is that the price, (I paid around £17 for the 3 items but I was able to get the hash browns half price with Independent Birmingham App, so it would have been more ) so it is a bit more on the pricier side but worth a visit still. Card only as a payment too.

My first experience here was through delivery. I loved my meal! Finally, I found the time to walk over and to eat in person. My experience was even better. Delicious food, great staff, and a cozy space—you couldn’t ask for more. Definitely a must go to place for breakfast and brunch. My favorite is the green smoothie!! Delicious 🤤

This gem was found on a trip back to Birmingham after moving to Melbourne Australia nearly 20 years ago. Fantastic friendly service, great atmosphere with the music choice, took the risk of having a Latte coffee which certainly didn’t disappoint when you’re use to the fantastic coffee you have in Melbourne, this was the best coffee I have had on my trip. The Breakfast was just amazing and the perfect combination of ingredients tasted so good! This is a definite place to return to when needing a coffee and breakfast

Nice atmosphere big windows feels spacious. Easy to order, decent choice menu and good quality food. Not too long a wait for food to arrive, nice drinks choice also. Iced tea was lovely! Coffee quite weak but nice enough. Hash browns great but have to pay for quite a lot of sauce to waste it for the size of them…! Quite expensive for the portion sizes but it’s nice and friendly.

Good choices of food. Mexican eggs and Egg Benedict were of a decent standard. Plenty of choices for drinks. Attentive table service (we were served by Mary) and overall clean environment. An improvement compared to our last visit a few years ago.

Had a wonderful late breakfast served by Julie herself! A lovely lady serving great food along the canal. We had the Croque Madame and split it, at her suggestion. It's a very generous portion, nice ham, and 2 eggs on top. Her scones looked good, but sadly had no room to try them! So we will definitely be back! Attentive staff and a relaxed conversation with Julie. Fun art and whimsical signs in the two room inside seating. Highly recommend it!

The food was spectacular and we were almost crying tears of joy and humming with every bit of our roasts! ❤️ The thing that makes this place special however is the service and staff. Ju and Lynne made us feel so welcome and comfortable from the moment we stepped in. We felt like we belonged and really enjoyed all that this place offered. You can tell this place was made out of love for food and people! Defo coming back with the friends!

Whatever the event Ju Ju’s can pretty much look after you. Revisit for one of their Sunday roasts. I was looking forward to it for 3 days. When I sat down they let me know about the specials that day. Boy, I had a massive decision to make. I went with the roast. I've always told people their style of cooking is like getting a hug. It's like sitting in a living room and surrounded by loved ones. Past and present.

The atmosphere in this café is truly delightful. From the moment we walked in, the two ladies, who I believe are the owners, were incredibly warm and welcoming. Their friendliness and the cozy ambiance they’ve created really set this café apart from the more mainstream spots in Birmingham—it feels like a home away from home. The coffee and Eggs Benedict were absolutely delicious, and I’m excited to try more from their menu. A charming touch is their well-behaved dog, who politely sits on a chair, greeting every customer as they arrive. The outdoor seating area is a great addition, with umbrellas for shade and blankets available if it gets chilly. They have a lovely view of the canals. Overall, it’s a wonderfully inviting place that I’ll definitely visit again and happily recommend to everyone I know.

Amazing middle Eastern food ,fantastic staff ,wonderful flavours and staff are friendly and always there to guide you .Nada was brilliant, greeted us at door and walked us through the menu .with her help what we chose was about right to share and everything was fantastic, full of flavours and just so morish. Thxs for a wonderful experience, we will be back .

Amazing food and amazing service. The waitress was very polite and attentive. Food was fresh and came quickly. I had the avocado toast with a medium-cooked egg along with a black tea and later ordered a Turkish coffee too. My coffee was served in a traditional authentic Turkish cup with a Turkish delight. Been coming here for a while now, and they never disappoint. Prices are very reasonable; I'd 100% recommend Damascena in Birmingham.

Just had the most incredible lunch at Damascena Coffee House in Birmingham! I ordered the chicken shawarma and it was absolutely bursting with flavor. The chicken was perfectly cooked, tender and seasoned beautifully, and the accompanying sauces and fresh vegetables were a delightful complement. It was easily the best shawarma I've had in ages! To drink, I paired it with their black tea with mint and honey. It was the perfect refreshing and sweet accompaniment to the savory shawarma. The mint was fresh and fragrant, and the honey added just the right touch of sweetness. It was so soothing and delicious. The atmosphere in Damascena is always so warm and inviting, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. It's the perfect place to relax and enjoy a delicious meal. I can't recommend Damascena enough – I'll definitely be back soon!
