Top Cafes in Hockley heath, West midlands

Recommended when I asked for somewhere that served real home cooked food and not chain pub grub I was not disappointed!
A good friendly welcome and even though I hadn’t booked I was quickly found a table. The menu was almost too good to be true in that there was such a good choice I struggled to make my mind up . Prawn starter followed by Liver & Onions with mash & veg was perfect ! Served without delay and delicious, great value for money and a pleasant atmosphere thrown in , wonderful !

I love this place it's literally the best for homecooked comfort food. Massive portions and good quality meals. In the winter they have the wood burning stoves on and it's so cozy. Dog friendly and lovely staff.

Turned up on spec on a wet midweek day thinking it would be quiet. Main area was fully booked but was offered table in garden room. All of the staff are extremely pleasant and efficient, a credit to your pub. Good selection of cask ales and kept really well. Food was excellent. This was our first visit, it won't be the last, need to work through the extensive menu and try a few more ales.

I've only ever been here for drinks, but last night me and my partner and I came for food, and I can certainly see why you're always so busy.

The food menu is very large, and you're the only establishment I've ever visited, which offers a doggy menu, and it's awesome.
We had the breaded mushrooms and filo king prawns for starters and 12oz gammon and hunters chicken for mains. Best meals I've ever eaten in a pub, and I can safely say you have gained 2 new regulars because we will definitely be coming back.
The whole experience from the moment we walked in, to the second we left, was amazing.

Been past this place many times and always promised ourselves we'd go in. We'll definitely be going back. We both had a pie with pastry top. Steak & ale and steak & kidney. A wide variety of sides are offered, veg, chips, salad and you can even pick whether you want a pastry or mash topping.

They don't just do pies. The menu offers a range of pub classics and if they're anything like what we had they will all be top top quality. The staff were excellent, the service was as good. It's sort of hidden away but it's definitely worth a visit. Next time I'll be getting a taxi so I can sample one the ales they offer.

Very glad we've been. It won't be the last time.
