Very tasty food and big portions, spacious restaurant and good service, the menu is very interesting and fun to explore. Recommend, especially the hummus and shawarma.

Great food, always love the ambience and staff is ever so friendly and welcoming. Niamh served us and there were few of us, she stunned all of us as she remembered every single one of our orders, very impressive which proves Damascena staff takes pleasure in providing ace customer service. Lovely place for family and friends gathering.

Really nice food and restaurant, very decently priced. Lovely spiced chai latte, although it was a shame we couldn’t drink until after our meal as they were very hot! Would make it a 5 star if the service improves.

One of the better Damascena locations, a friendly and clean environment and the food was hot and tasty. Service was poor as they were short staffed and one server for all the tables. The food delivery was slower than expected. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Vegan options available.

The ladies were soso nice and gave us great suggestion on what to try out! I got the scrambled eggs with smoke salmon and it was delishhh My friend got the breakfast egg benedict, also really good! Super recommended!

Fantastic little cafe; sizeable portions, prompt service, affordable prices. Always happy with my sausage, bacon, egg & mushroom sarnie on a Friday, and my missus loves their poached eggs with tomatoes on toast. A gem of a place in the heart of the jewellery quarter 💎

Waiting staff is nice and smiles, she is very helpful for travellers. Very nice and warm cafe, Eggs Benedict is nice as Hollandaise sauce made very creamy not too salty and sour, bacon rashers are cooked fine and poached eggs look so great!

Honestly one of the best full English brekkies not just in Birmingham but all of England with a nice big cup of tea. Will be returning many times for this! Well done 👍👍👍

Just had the most incredible lunch at Damascena Coffee House in Birmingham! I ordered the chicken shawarma and it was absolutely bursting with flavor. The chicken was perfectly cooked, tender and seasoned beautifully, and the accompanying sauces and fresh vegetables were a delightful complement. It was easily the best shawarma I've had in ages! To drink, I paired it with their black tea with mint and honey. It was the perfect refreshing and sweet accompaniment to the savory shawarma. The mint was fresh and fragrant, and the honey added just the right touch of sweetness. It was so soothing and delicious. The atmosphere in Damascena is always so warm and inviting, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. It's the perfect place to relax and enjoy a delicious meal. I can't recommend Damascena enough – I'll definitely be back soon!

Returning customer here at this branch, it was lovely as always and the food was really nice. there’s a range of vegetarian options which is nice to see. the decor and the aesthetic is pretty but maybe the seating areas in the centre is a little cramped - we asked to move and we’re accommodated which was appreciated :) Our server was Hamza - super kind and helpful. good customer service.

Amazing food and amazing service. The waitress was very polite and attentive. Food was fresh and came quickly. I had the avocado toast with a medium-cooked egg along with a black tea and later ordered a Turkish coffee too. My coffee was served in a traditional authentic Turkish cup with a Turkish delight. Been coming here for a while now, and they never disappoint. Prices are very reasonable; I'd 100% recommend Damascena in Birmingham.

Not sure how secret of a gem this spot is considering it seems to always be busy but it’s not hard to see why… the food is incredible!!! We got this tower of food for 2 including a drink each for £35 which included an array of hot food, fruit and their incredible French toast!! Everything seems to be halal and the chicken sausages are absolutely delicious!! The potatoes are also a must try!!! I’m excited to come back and try their other dishes after having this full taster experience Service a bit slow and our drinks came after the food (about 20 mins after ordering) but so did most people’s although the food is such good value for money we are planning on coming back soon Definitely worth visiting 💕

We dropped by here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Immediately we could tell that the only waiter there was struggling as there were too many tables for just one person, so we decided to be patient throughout the whole thing, which was good as everything took a long time. When the food eventually arrived, it was exceptional. The drinks were very good as well and we thought the prices were fair. Overall a very good experience, just be prepared to wait during busy times.

We went at a time when it wasn't too busy. We were promptly seen. Menus were a bit sticky which is never a good start. We ordered the crispy chicken sandwich, French toast and a kids breakfast. Food didn't take too long to arrive. The French toast was nice as was the chicken sandwich. I wasn't a fan of the sausages, they tasted more like kebabs you get at the local Indian restaurant. The tea was also nice (not pictured). Missus and kids liked it but it's not a place I would come to again if I was the one choosing... 4/5

This place makes one of the best if not the best chai lattes (with oat milk) that I’ve had. I love that it is an independent store and they have some nice meals on the menu. I had lamb bagel and hash brown fries (see photos and I had takeaway). I didn’t love the sauce that come with it and maybe it’s best to have on a pot in the side. But it was nice nonetheless. Staff are friendly and the venue is a nice place to sit and do work or have a little catch up with a friend but the space isn’t the largest. Only thing I’d warn is that the price, (I paid around £17 for the 3 items but I was able to get the hash browns half price with Independent Birmingham App, so it would have been more ) so it is a bit more on the pricier side but worth a visit still. Card only as a payment too.

Their loaded eggs Benedict is absolutely brilliant. The long walk in the cold to get here was fully worth it. The crew are really nice as well and all of them made me feel very welcome.

I have been coming to Saint Kitchen for over 3 years and this is my space space. My partner and I come here on a Sunday morning, I bring my friends when they come to stay, and I come on my own whenever I have the time. It sounds cheesy but this place is honestly like a warm hug to me. The staff are lovely, the food is absolutely delicious, and the coffee is the best in Birmingham. It’s right next to Saint Paul’s Square which is one of the prettiest spots in Birmingham. You can never get bored of the food because they are always changing up the menu. You know it’s fresh as well because you can see the chefs making it in front of you. I rarely write reviews but am writing this one because this place is just amazing. I love Saint Kitchen so so much ♥️

Went in to shelter from the rain! Cozy yet has lots of space inside, the black forest hot chocolate and mocha are very decadent and well priced for the portion size - service was great too - loved it

Coffee tales was recommended to us so we went in for a latte whilst shopping in the jewellery quarter. Such a lovely atmosphere. The cakes and the food looked delicious. We only had time for a coffee and it was the best latte I have ever tasted. This place is a little gem. 100% recommended 😃

Id say my last visit wasn't as nice as my previous.. the food was abit blah where as before when I have visited the kids loved the corn dogs and katsu currie. The best thing was the milkshakes

Something a bit different, seen it all over tiktok, so it was a great day out for the daughter. Food was made fresh to order- so there is a bit of a wait but it was hot, fresh and tasty! The guy who was taking orders was very friendly , nothing seemed too much trouble. They do different offers on different days- so I imagine they have very busy periods. The candy floss machine is amazing. We will definitely be going back.

My husband and I loved everything here -- from the food, the place and most especially the service. Leilt is so lovely! She made us feel comfortable as it was our first time eating here. We'll definitely come back. 5 stars! 💖

It's a beautiful building to eat in and service was good. Food was a mixed bag – we loved the sausage roll but the crispy squid was soft with a chewy strip. The bathrooms need some maintenance with broken door locks, hand dryers and loo roll holders

We had a lovely dining experience, and I want to especially highlight Charlotte's exceptional service. She was incredibly kind, professional, and attentive throughout. She frequently checked on us with a warm smile, making sure we were happy with our food and if we needed anything else. It made us feel genuinely cared for.🥰Although Charlotte seemed to handle everything on her own (the manager was nowhere to be seen🥷), she managed everything perfectly. We had made a reservation to celebrate two birthdays, and her hospitality truly added to the occasion.🎉💯 As for the food, while most of it was delicious, there was a slight issue with the steak we ordered (12 oz Argentine beef). It had a somewhat bitter aftertaste, which might have come from the grill not being properly cleaned some marks on the meat made that taste. However, aside from that, the portion was generous and enjoyable. The chorizo in the mac and cheese was outstanding, and I was pleasantly surprised by the steak mushrooms and tomato, they were thoughtful additions with delightful flavors.😍👌 Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, thanks to Charlotte's fantastic service and the mostly delicious food.🥂❤️

Fab cafe on Aston University campus, has a Costa as well as lots of different food outlets including salad bar, pizzas, burgers. Some great offers and it's affordable too being on a uni campus!
