Cute little place. Dog friendly which is my biggest bonus! Friendly service and warm atmosphere. Menu is reasonable and good choice for everyone. I opted for the Mushroom and spinach Benedict. I was expecting the mushroom and spinach to be cooked together but it came out fresh, mushroom on top nicely cooked though. Eggs were perfect and sauce was very tasty. No seasoning needed. Finished off with a banana cake which was *delicious* The shakshouka looked gorgeous when it walked past and the English breakfasts looked decent too! Will be back to try some more food! £22 for Virgin Mary, Benedict and banana cake.

First visit here for brunch with the family. We had full English, Smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and Toasties. All were good. Thick cut bread that is made on the premises served with most things. The staff are very polite, helpful and service is quick. Parking available nearby.

Just visited today for lunch & it was amazing 😍 good portions, very tasty, great service & price too. I got food envy looking at the other tables food so will be back again soon to try the other food!

This is a great little cafe the staff are superb food is extremely well priced absolute banging sausages and coffee is spot on would recommend any dish I've tried all the breakfasts and the brunch is the one to go for and you can mix it up as you like get down there 😋 parking is adequate as its in the high st

The only issue with here is it is small so felt very cramped but the breakfast was superb

We didn't eat, but me & my fiancé had coffee & we loved it, friendly service, lovely coffee. Bright & clean place. We will definitely be visiting again. Update: we called in again and had lunch. It was delicious.

We have been here a few times for coffee. Today we have decided to do coffee and breakfast. Was greeted by Lauren again who is always exceptionally polite and eager to engage in conversation. Fiona also did the most amazing latte art and the coffee was great. We had baked boiled eggs with soldiers and bacon. Something different and we enjoyed it immensely. Atmosphere very relaxing. Having recently visited Gail's in London, my boyfriend and I decided to visit the Berkhamstead one as its closer to home. We had a lovely time visiting yesterday. It was spacious with plenty of seating, staff were very lovely, food and drinks were great. Will definitely return in the future. Thank you!

Another great trip to Gail’s Berkhamsted. Enjoyed a ham and cheese croissant and chai latte (was so good I forgot to snap a photo) followed by an incredible salted caramel and banana pecan cake and iced latte 😍 the perfect spot for me and my little one to enjoy some quality time together. The staff were so lovely and friendly as well! Will definitely be back!

Proper OBH. Very friendly and I gather the food is good too. The beer garden has heating for the cooler days and plenty of seating. Situated on the High Street, opposite a greedy Supermarket, there is plenty of parking. Maybe not the cheapest Lager but plenty of offers for Ale drinkers. A really nice local boozer!

I visited with my son. We wanted something to eat primarily. It was Sunday. I was hoping for a roast dinner. It is best to book or reserve a Sunday lunch beforehand as we couldn't get a full Sunday roast. However, the staff offered roasted beef and pork sandwiches which were served with roast potatoes and gravy. It was delicious. The young lady behind the bar was very helpful and the service was excellent. It's well worth a visit, although I would suggest to book a Sunday lunch.

The Cock is a lovely pub with outside space, good real ales. It is one of the more expensive pubs in Baldock though

So I promised the ladies that I’d write a review if the vegan sausage roll were better than a well known mass producing bakery. And true to my word here’s my review. Absolutely lovely … Herby and full of flavour the filling isn’t trying to be fake meat but a stand out for what it is. The pastry was flaky and makes just the right amount of mess to say you’ve enjoyed it. My wife had the cheese and onion pastry and she was super impressed. As for service. The staff were super friendly, polite land really helpful. Defiantly returning to try what else they have when I’m next in the area.

I visited Days yesterday, I love this shop. Whenever I have visited I am always met with very helpful and pleasant staff, yesterday was no exception. The young man who made my hot chocolate and cappuccino was wonderful, even going as far as opening the door for me as I left. He really put a smile on my face bless him.

Amazing experience at our first visit to the Coffee House. Atmosphere was so peaceful and friendly, decor is lovely, food is brilliant and staff were wonderful; we had such brilliant and friendly service from Chloe! The French toast and pancakes were incredible! They also have decent oat milk for lattes which makes all the difference!

We have full English and salmon avocado bagels. They look good in presentation and service was very fast. The food is cooking well, but it feels like a bit of spice or different than what I can cook at home. Maybe a bit of homemade unique sauce would make a difference.

Such a lovely little cafe, the food is great, there’s a wide selection of drinks available and the baked goods are so good. The staff are always so lovely, whether for breakfast, lunch or just a drink I would defo recommend!

Popped in for coffee to see the new refurb. It's now very open and light with lots of room for people and pushchairs. Plus extra stalls (with plugs) for the 1 person who wants to sit on their laptop for hours on end... Very friendly staff and a decent cup of coffee. Will return again next week for food as the specials board food looks fresh and different.

We called in on Sunday and couldn’t be more happy with the service we received. It’s also dog friendly with plenty of water bowls available. We had the pulled pork in a bun which we were told was from the owners smokehouse which was an absolute winner in our case. The tables were spotless with a good choice of sauces to go with the food if you wish. The fact you can walk in straight out of a muddy park with children and pets is brilliant.Oh nearly forgot .The coffee is spot on as well.Steve W

A fresh and bright space with a friendly atmosphere. The service is amazing with helpful & wonderful staff. The food is excellent, we had a Terrace Breakfast which was cooked to perfection. There’s lots of choice of food & a lovely selection of cakes & pastries.

Was so pleasantly surprised to see somewhere with so many gluten free bakery items. Most places have a gf brownie which I think most people who are gf get sick of, but there was 4 options here including a delicious basque cheesecake! I personally found the coffee tasted a bit burnt so not sure if I would have a coffee specially here again but can’t praise highly enough for the gf bakery selection

The Nena loaf is one of the best breads I've ever eaten. Flavoursome and didn't go hard after a day. Yes, it's a bit expensive but as a once a week treat, absolutely worth it. Pretty big loaves too.

This is my go to place for working on the laptop. Always found the staff pleasant and the atmosphere relaxed. As a chain, I do find the prices a bit steep so I usually only have a coffee but I'm very pleased the vegan offerings are so good (i.e. tasty) compared to other cafes. The raspberry croissant is a favourite.
