Reviews
Now then pal, been feeling a little bit off it recently and still not back at work yet but needed to get out and about to see how my body is coping.
I somehow found myself at the bottle kiln just outside of Ilkeston with 3 women for a spot of lunch and a meander round the gift shop.
I went with the jacket spud with mushrooms and bacon, a little bit different from your normal fillings and it came with a lovely side salad. Went with a mocha for my tipple pal and it was a beaut came out with lots of Christmassy sprinkles on top and looked a very posh cuppa, but at 4 quid a pop I wouldn't expect anything less!
The toilets 🚻 consisted of 3 single traps for unisex use with 1 being disabled only, although I saw someone very able sneaking in that bad boy!
I was impressed with the lavender hand-wash and amber hand lotion, gave off a very fruity lovely smelling vibe, no expense spared there so well done the kiln on that one!
The gift shop is well worth a butchers if your after that different Xmas pressie. Lots of nice jewellery, cards, purses, bags and little nick nacky bits and bobs.
Over heard one woman on about getting crumpet trumpet 🎺 quite bizarre I can only assume it was some kind of card game, the mind boggles pal!
Very special gift shop with unique items. Go!
The cafe/restaurant - fantastic food, decoration any very, VERY friendly and welcoming team.
A must-visit.
They seriously pulled one of the best vegetarians sandwiches i ever had.
Gifted team in the kitchen
Haven't been here for a few years so popped in for a coffee and sandwich with my wife to check it out. Well, if anything, it's better than we remember. Great atmosphere, friendly service, top rate food and, to be fair, prices very reasonable. We'll be back soon - highly recommended!
Excellent service and attractive room. Menu choices are limited but suitable for a light lunch. Prices are quite high and I would expect to order at the table for this cost. It's certainly different and special compared to other lunchtime restaurants in the area. Attractive building, boutique shops and garden.
Came today for afternoon tea with mum for her birthday, our first visit and we shall be back!
The staff in the cafe were lovely and attentive.
The afternoon tea was gorgeous all items were fresh and delicious.
Lovely glass of Prosecco to start and the tea selection was great.
Thank you for providing such a lovely service🩷
