We had a great deal of work done to the ground floor of our house resulting in the downstairs hallway and top landing needed to be decorated. Ben was recommended to us and we are very pleased with the work that he did and within a tight time-scale as we where in temporary accommodation, his attention to detail and the quality of his work means that we are more than happy to recommend Ben to anyone we will definitely be having Ben back for any other jobs that come along in the future.

We had Ben round to our new home for a whole range of Improvements last year. Prompt, polite, clean, excellent standard of work and fairly priced, too. We have used him many times since, including the installation of a rubber roof on a flat roof extension which was done quickly and to a very high standard. Finding a reliable, fairly priced builder who delivers a high quality job can be tricky, so Ben is someone I can recommend and promote without hesitation. 10/10

Ben recently completed several jobs around the house for me (ranging from installing a new dishwasher to repairing an old wooden window frame, grouting the hearth tiles to repairing a kitchen cabinet door). I found Ben to be professional and friendly, organised and neat and tidy in his approach to the work. I would have no hesitation in recommending Ben (as indeed, I already have) and look forward to welcoming him back again in the future as my new ‘go to’ handy person. A well deserved 5 star rating !

I was very nervous about finding somebody to help with a multitude of jobs which would normally require several tradesmen as there is lots of people that claim they can do everything, but doing it to a good standard is another. I can honestly say it was a pleasure having Ben here, he was not only a pleasure to have round, he was extremely tidy, very fairly priced - the hourly charges generally work in the favour of the customer as he doesnt stop, he had stripped some very old lining paper off for us which was not the easiest but he was patient to get it all off without damaging the walls underneath, he also ensured he put the room back together to enable us to use the room until the plasterer arrives. We will definitely be having Ben back round again.

Ben did a brilliant job for us repairing our leaking gutters which had been poorly installed. He was also incredibly helpful offering advice for other issues we had with the house. I wouldn't hesitate in using Benvale again or recommending to friends and family.

I’m very pleased with the work Simon has done in my home, and I highly recommend his services. He initially did a tricky job in my bathroom that involved both joinery and plumbing. He quickly identified the causes of the issue, clearly explained the repairs needed, and followed this up with a written estimate. During the work, he kept me well informed and did a thorough job to a high standard. Needless to say, I had no hesitation in booking him for other jobs - he came up with a straightforward solution to sort out a damp issue and did a top job of fitting skirting boards. Whilst doing the work, he pointed out an issue that needed a gas fitter and helped with a contact. He is friendly, trustworthy and works very efficiently. Simon's helped me with a lot of work on my new home, from fitting flooring, and sorting out the electrics to devising and creating the most ingenious storage solution for my outdoor gear - I cannot recommend him enough. He's really approachable so I don't feel stupid asking questions, and his experience and knowledge means that he's able to come up with ideas and solutions I wouldn't even have considered. He always explains why he's recommending what he suggests, I've never had anyone beat him on quotes and I've always been impressed with the quality of his work. My gear room now looks more like a Swiss Chalet than a Sheffield basement!

Simon did a great job putting up a curtain pole for a heavy thermal door curtain. He is professional and friendly and made sure that I was happy with the job. He also did a short repair of a light fitting, which was very good of him, as I had not arranged this in advance. I'll definitely be asking Simon when it's time to start on that ever-increasing list of jobs that need attention.

Would highly recommend Doug! He was very professional and we are so so happy with how the bathroom turned out! Everything was finished to a high standard, mess and dust were kept to a minimum and communication was excellent whilst planning the work!

From the quote to the end of the job Doug was professional, hardworking and friendly. Nothing was too much bother and the end result was spot on. Lucky and Son fitted a 17ft (5m by 3m) by 10ft metal garage which required bolting to the ground. Also, the garage assembly required 100s of screws to be fitted. They provided a professional quality service, fitting the garage exceptionally, preceded by a quick prompt honest transparent quote. All this was carried out with humility and character. Sean and Pete Hewitt constructed a double first floor extension on top of two existing ground floor extensions and were perfect , nothing was to much trouble they did everything we asked of them and more . Read the feedback for you're assurance these are the ones to choose for you're project .

Amazing guys who did an excellent job on fixing some roof tiles that had broken in a storm. All sorted super quick and for a great price I cannot recommend them enough 👍

S&P Hewitt came highly recommended to us as they'd built our friends extension and our Architect had also seen their wok in the past and said he was impressed with their workmanship. I was apprehensive before the build started because it was a big build, a two storey extension on the side of our house and a single storey extension to the rear. I was worried about every little thing that could possibly go wrong. Thankfully there was nothing to worry about, Sean and Pete were fantastic throughout, nothing seemed to difficult for them and they were always on site, rain or shine other than a week where it snowed early on in the build, (apparently you can't lay bricks in snow!). We love our "new house", it;'s amazing and thanks to S & P Hewitt, looks amazing, our Architect came out to visit a few times through the build and again after it finished and he eve commented on how well they have built it. Cannot recommend them enough, IF we ever move again and decide to undertake another project I'll definitely be contacting them again.
