From my first phone call, all the way through booking, arriving at the offices, meeting with the dentist, reviewing my options - I was treated with kindness and made to feel important and looked after. So glad to have found them!

I have nothing but praise for the entire team. Highly skilled dentists and hygienists that over many years seem to work pain-free miracles to preserve my own teeth for as long as possible whilst also being super capable of offering high-end implants when some teeth inevitably have to come out. And everyone is so friendly there - you feel it the moment you walk through the front door.

I have been using this surgery for years. All the staff have always been unfailingly courteous and kind and a recent extensive course of treatment has been completed with customary professionalism by Dr Khalid. I am very grateful to him and thoroughly recommend Wash Common Dental Practice.

I have received over many years excellent Dental care and advice from WCDP. And during my last few visits I have had the pleasure of being treated by Dr Shivani Singh. And I am happy to confirm that the quality, advice, and care provided by Dr Shivani is of the very best. And i would not hesitate to recommend Dr Shivani to others. Additionally, there are always lovely conversations in a relaxed environment. Highly recommended including Sarah-Jane in a Dental Nurse support role. MD

Really enjoyable overnight stay. Staff refreshingly open, friendly and efficient. The venue has a significant uplift what was there previously - which we did enjoy, but this is much better. Rooms are much nicer, service very good, and food interesting. Breakfast was great. We gave some suggestions on minor improvements which were happily received. Will be going back!

I can’t sing The Pot Kiln’s praises highly enough! We had dinner and stayed here to celebrate our anniversary and it was the perfect place to do this. From the moment we arrived every detail was thoughtfully considered. The bed was comfortable and pillows were exactly to our liking, but had they not been, there was a note saying we could ask for different ones. The room was large, beautifully decorated and (importantly) quiet. The shower was luxurious and super clean. We had a phenomenal, memorable dinner with a view into the kitchen. Every dish was superb & I would highly recommend the pigs ears, the ribs, the veal tartare and the wine! Fantastic wine list and excellent espresso martinis too. We had a hearty breakfast in the morning before a 10km walk which started and ended at the pub. Given the recent flooding, this required walking boots! Thanks to all at The Pot Kiln for such a welcoming, comfortable and memorable stay. We will be back!

I love the Pot Kiln. For me, it strikes the perfect balance of informality and professionalism. Friendly, but not overfamilar. Still a pub, but unmistakably a quality restaurant. The food is exceptional. Great ingredients, flawlessly prepared. It's in the middle of nowhere, but we'll worth the drive.

Visited a couple of weeks ago with our 14 year old daughter and not so little pup. Thought I had already reviewed but clearly, only did the review in my head so reviewing now as we had such a lovely time. Ended up here after first pub plans went out of the window because of the storm and them having no power. Really pleased to be honest as this was a great find. So relaxed, super friendly and very welcoming. Great atmosphere and great food. The menu isn't huge as some have said; but I would much prefer a "smaller" menu and quality fresh food, which is what we got here. None of us struggled to find anything we liked and they had a specials curry menu too. They were so accommodating. I can highly recommend the chicken pie, cheese and bacon burger and the fish and chips....which definitely was huge! All portions were a great size. My pie was one of the nicest I've have at a pub and it was nice for it to be served with fresh veg rather than just your standard peas. We stayed for a couple of hours, which past so quickly. Our pup loved meeting everyone and was even given treats by the lady behind the bar. Friends for life there! 🤣 We met some lovely people that are locals too. Shame I didn't make it back for the quiz night as we have been super busy, but we will definitely return and recommend to friends. Genuinely can not fault. Thank you so much to the fab staff and lovely people we met there.

Fantastic accommodating host and chef. Dealt with my dietary restrictions and went above and beyond which is so refreshing. They were great with the kids and the Sunday Roast and desserts were top notch. The locals were also very friendly. We will be back!

This place is a delight. The food is delicious and great value. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. The seats are comfy, nice music playing at a sensible volume, and they even have screen with the football, albeit with sound so it won't bother anyone. I'm sure they'd turn it up is required.

Have driven past this pub countless times. Finally went there on my birthday for lunch and it was brilliant! The pulled pork burger and chips was amazing. Staff were very friendly, and there was a good selection of drinks. Will definitely be going again

Extremely Friendly atmosphere and the Garden is GREAT for kids of all ages. The IPA Beer was excellent but the range of wines on offer a bit limited and while Most of the food we had - as a party of 6 - was considered to be excellent it was let down slightly by the salads which ,though certainly fresh, we’re just a bit bland. The calamari and prawns were Top Draw. And the Steak Pie was Excellent too - so combined with the great atmosphere and the more than helpful staff the overall experience was excellent.

Lovely country pub. We visited as a mixed group of 3-86 years old and the staff were amazing with visual and hearing impairments as well as extra sprinkles on my daughter’s ice cream! Food was delicious and generous portions, and play area outside was a brilliant addition.

Visited with my adult son and daughter for a birthday meal. The food was beautifully home cooked, plenty of it and delicious. It was more than we would normally pay for a pub meal, but worth every penny. The staff were welcoming and attentive and the pub was old and full of character. We will definitely be returning next time we have something special to celebrate.

This place is an absolute gem! The food is not only delicious but also prepared with clear passion and expertise. Each dish is a delightful surprise, bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. But what truly sets this place apart is the exceptional staff. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. They're attentive, knowledgeable, and always go the extra mile to ensure your dining experience is nothing short of perfect. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a memorable meal, this place is a must-visit. You won't be disappointed!

Just been here for lunch en route to the Hannington TV tower and it was fabulous, excellent service from the lovely barman. I had a delicious pie and mash, my partner had beef and ale stew, I think the stew was in the pie so I got the best of both worlds! Finished off with a strawberry milkshake, apparently they're new on the menu and this is the first one they've sold, so I hope they keep them on cos they're perfect. Really good pint of ale too. Dog friendly and people friendly - it wasn't busy but everyone who was in here said hello. Also playing really great music at an ideal volume. It's in a beautiful part of Hampshire, it's Watership Down country so there are plenty of gorgeous walks around here. Were already looking forward to coming back!

Lovely staff who serve with a smile. Fast service. Food is served hot and good portions which is super tasty and locally sourced which is amazing to support the community. The new landlord and landlady are super friendly and really nice people who have now included a children's menu and have high chairs. The pub is also dog friendly. The pub has pool table, darts board, plenty of seating for meals and outside heated smoking area as well as a nice sized garden for activities which they hold regularly. The food is really nice and their new menu is superb for quick snacks or for a full on meal. The little boy really enjoys the chicken bites which are actual chicken breast rather then blended up meat like normal chicken nuggets.

Excellent, homemade food. Locally sourced ingredients and the thick cut chips are to die for! Owners are lovely and have really gone all out on this little place! Definitely coming back!!

We discovered this local Italian gem a decade ago and it has not disappointed on each and every visit. The food is fresh and portions generous. You are warmly welcomed by Carmen and her husband Carlos delivers up delicious plates from the kitchen. If you are in a rush, let the staff know. Otherwise, dining is leisurely. Not to be missed!

Incredible dining experience at Valle D’oro Restaurant. The hostess was exceptional, taking care of our every request. And of course the main attraction, the food, did not disappoint. My wife said and I quote, “this is the best Salmon that I have ever tasted!” I had the Penne Arrabbiata pasta and it was wonderful. Just the right level of spiciness and heat for my palate. If you’re in the Newbury area and want some authentic Italian food, seek them out. You will not be disappointed. Saluti!

But some vegetarian options as well. Food is outstanding, and the portion sizes are more than enough. You really won't we walking out of there feeling hungry! Great wine selection also. We found this place by chance when trying to get somewhere that met half way between our friend group. What a great find! We had lots of dietary requirements for our afternoon tea and they were really accommodating. Lovely atmosphere and staff were so friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back again ☺️

Lovely place by the canal, with picturesque views and aesthetic interior. The tea sevice is delicious and well worth it. Sweet, but sometimes you want that! Makes a good chai too.

Lovely little cafe overlooking the canal. Food was nice - savory dishes were a nice size and tasty. Cakes were nice looking, but sadly a few were a bit dry. Service was very good, very friendly staff. Would happily return, and look forward to it. Paid car park right next door.

The most gorgeous cafe right on the river! I’ve been there sooo many times and every time the service was fantastic and the food was delicious. The staff are brilliant with gluten free too - lots of choice and super tasty! In fact, I went for afternoon tea and they produced an ENTIRELY gluten free platter, of which everything was home made! Absolutely love it here, thanks so much! Xx

The dirty burger with pulled beef was delicious! The garlic bread was so moreish. And the ice cream was divine!. Everything we tasted was top class yet affordable. A no-nonsense, easy to follow menu. We definitely recommend. And if we're ever in the area again we will certainly come back to Lusso!

Love this place! A proper hidden gem. Excellent, unfussy Italian food with great service at a reasonable price. The wood-fired pizzas are the main attraction but don’t overlook the starters and pasta dishes. There’s also a very dangerous gelato counter 👀 Recommended!

The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The restaurant was really clean and tidy. The food was amazing. The meat feast pizza was incredible and so was the brownie. There's a good selection of gelato flavours and the ones we tried were delicious.

A delightful cafe with great food. Managed and run by very friendly staff. Reasonably priced food, nice atmosphere. Why not try the King's Breakfast? I did and I loved it. They didn't have Black Pudding but I opted for an extra sausage instead and didn't regret it for a moment!

There are a lot of oh-so-trendy coffee shops in Newbury, but what's the point of them if the coffee is awful? Coffee here is the best in town. Good muffins too. It may be a little too far up the street for those trendies who seem to have lost the power of their legs, but that's their loss, and it makes for a quieter more pleasant environment without them. Genuinely friendly staff seal the deal for me. One negative: Toilet needs some attention from a cleaner. Ciao a tutti.

Fantastic service. First time trying breakfast there and it was lovely. Very accommodating especially as I'm quite fussy with what i eat and all the staff were great and happy to have a laugh. What we got for breakfast was fantastic for the price and was fresh and not greasy at all. Our plates were clean. This is our new place for breakfast. Thankyou so much!

Opens at 7am which is excellent. A warm welcome by all the polite staff. Good quality full English breakfast at a reasonable price, there is a map on the wall that traces their ingredients, coffee is good also. The background music was eclectic, from crying into your coffee one minute to blowing your whistle the next... brilliant. Highly recommended.
