I cannot recommend Merrygate dental practice more. A wonderful team who create a welcoming and calm environment for their patients. Nothing is too much trouble and they take their time to explain everything thoroughly and put you at ease. There is a perfect mix of professionalism and a family like feel. I adore this practice so much.

Best dentist I have ever used! I have been using this dental practice for a good number of years now & I can honestly say they the quality of care that I have received has been second to none. I have always been made to feel very welcome by the receptionists & both Dr Uzma Ahmed (dentist) & Patricia Jones (Eddie) (hygeinist) have been outstanding.

I moved away from the immediate area but decided to stay with the practice as I was very happy with it. Very glad I did. Just had root canal and Hygenist work and both were excellent. Skilled and pleasant people, nice relaxing premises and easy parking.

Our boiler was playing up, Jake was very punctual, it turned out the boiler just needed a good clean and service, no parts were needed, he was very honest. We were Very happy with the service provided, we will definitely use him again in the future.

We had a leaking valve in our Bed & Breakfast which needed repairing quickly. Jake came earlier than agreed, diagnosed the problem immeadiately and fixed it within a short time. He was a model of efficiency, courtesy and professionalism. Highly recommended.

Honest, friendly and professional guy. Jake was recommended after my boiler failed. He came to inspect the boiler the same day I called as he was passing by. The boiler was 15 years old and Jake gave the option of fixing the broken part (which would be expensive) or replacing the whole boiler. We decided to replace the boiler (no pressure either way from Jake with very honest options and advice). Within two weeks our new boiler was fitted. He even talked my three year old son through the process and was very patient with his constant questions. Very reasonably priced and great communication. Will definitely be recommending Jake to anyone in need and will be using him in the future. Great service.

It was a coincidence we dropped by and took a seat. I bookmarked it as my favourite cafe straight away! I just love the environment and how friendly the staff was. We had the best ever Egg Florentine and crunchy waffle with bacon. I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone :)

Merritts Coffee Lounge is a friendly cafe in Ashurst. With its roaring fire and comfy seating, it’s a great place to have a coffee and warm up after a winter walk. The menu offers a range of homemade brunch items, as well as delicious cakes. Although it didn’t look exciting, the omelette I had for lunch was absolutely fantastic. My husband had the skillet crumpet with trout, and raved about it. The service was very friendly and welcoming, and it was a great place to start or end a range of lovely New Forest walks. Overall I had a great visit, and if in the area again I would 100% return.

Really special coffee at this super friendly coffee lounge. Also, the food is top quality - I'm particularly partial to the bacon waffles - a very naughty treat! It's 5 stars from me ***** GREAT WALK AS WELL! - to compensate for the cakes there is a beautiful walk just up the road... turn left when leaving the lounge and keep going straight- you end up entering the beauty of the new forest!

Fab place to chill and have a tasty coffee! Beautiful coffee blend with friendly staff. They work hard here to create a lovely atmosphere with comfy seating and chill music, it really feels unique and has a lovely vibe! I have recently moved to the area and will happily visit here again soon for a coffee and cake. You can also grab a bag of coffee to take home or as a gift. P.s. This place is dog friendly too!

First time visiting this lil place. Great food and coffee, chilled setting, quiet and relaxed. Dog friendly. Great price. Happier for my money to go to a small independent business rather than Costa or Starbucks etc. You get better service and prices. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have (as many do) a "fear" of dentistry. I recently moved to the area and asked my new neighbours where they went and they instantly recommended Lyndhurst Dental practice. I have now been a few times once a check up and (unfortunately) for a filling. It is a great friendly place and Sarah was amazing. She explained all the way through and made sure I was comfortable. To my amazement didn't even use numbing gel before the injection and I didn't even feel it!! I wish I could give more stars.

Sarah and her wonderful team look after myself and my family and have done for years. We are delighted with the service, the friendly welcome and the quality of the work carried out. We travel some distance to use this practice and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Very cozy coffee shop with professional coffee baristas. The staff are very friendly and nice, and the coffee tastes great. I would highly recommend this place and I would go back there again. I wish there had been more tables and chairs, so we didn’t need to wait so long.

This is by far and away the best bike shop in the new forest! The coffee is lovely, the team are always super helpful and knowledgeable to help with whatever bike bits you need and best of all the cake is amazing. Anyone on a ride through the new forest should stop by and say hello!

So busy on a chilly Saturday morning - great to see so many smiling cyclists all set on enjoying the day and their stop at this cafe. The shop is full of exciting bikes and accessories. The snacks looked amazing. We had some tasty cappucinos, served with a smile. The bike side kindly helped me out with a squeaky saddle. Toilet clean. Would recommend!

Old style former farmers field type of course but with a few improvements over the years. 3 sets of 9 holes gives variety but gets very wet in winter

Excellent course you won't find a better golf course in this area for £26 unbelievable standard of greens and tees were top notch I've played many courses that charge 60 -100 that would be shamed against this course 100% RECOMMEND!

The 5 hole pitch and putt is brilliant with kids. It is harder than it looks for non-golfers thou! They also have free table tennis tables (borrow t the bats and balls from the golf shop). 3 tables so easy to get a table.

Played today, 13th April. Course was in fantastic condition with fast, true greens. Very technical course in places. Well worth a visit if you're in the area!!

Played here today as a 4 ball.....course was lovely, been here plenty of times, but not for sometime! Greens really good, fairways had what looked like wild pig areas, where they had been dug up and damaged by the creatures. Given this is a municipal course it's brilliant, the workers do an amazing job. The negatives for me are the fact that other players, whether a member or a pay and play visitor there is absolutely no need to be so lazy to not repair your pitchmarks, or rake the bunker when you've hacked your 1st or 4th attempt out! They've left masses of rakes out there, it's literally a 4m walk to a rake use the thing and replace it. It really is not hard, COVID is no longer an excuse! Likewise divots, replace them....if you don't then I hope you find your drives in every one of them on day 2 when you're leading the first day of the club championship. Yes a rant, but in no way at the club or anyone who has the decency to tidy up after themselves.... It is for all those who think as it's a cheaper course they're entitled to hack it up and leave it to the staff to fix. Grow up and fix it yourself you lazy gits!

Really great food for the price. We had the fixed menu which had a great variety of different dishes and flavours. They substituted all the dishes with egg in as my wife is intolerant. Friendly staff and cosy atmosphere. Great!

Best Thai I've ever had! Guy running the restaurant was super friendly and helpful, also very polite. 100% recommend The Weeping Tiger meal, absolutely the best steak I've ever had. Will definitely be back, if you like Thai food absolutely go here. Had to thank the chef in person on the way out. Very close to car park as well.

We went here on a Monday night and were surprised to see how busy it got. The restaurant is well decorated with a modern sophisticated vibe to it. The food was well presented and good quality. Although I would have liked the intensity of the flavours to be a bit more prominent but it was still delicious. Would recommend and return.

My son (HC6) and myself (HC12) played 3.34pm tee midweek. Although we played on a windy damp afternoon, we really enjoyed the course. It was immaculately presented from the off, very good tee boxes, well defined fairways and great greens. Well worth the green fee, we booked through golf now and saved significantly from the club price.

This is a lovely place to play golf. Pro shop and clubhouse very welcoming and the catering good, plentiful and reasonably priced. The fairways are well covered and generous and the greens are very good, some borrows and slopes quite subtle, others not so subtle. Not overly long, the fairways are quite generous but there is plenty of woodland to assist in losing the ball. Most greens are well bunkered but the sand is good and consistent. We really enjoyed it. Dull day but that didn't detract.

One of the best courses I’ve played on in the area. It’s really well kept and looked after. Friendly members and well run bar. The course has 2 long par 4s, but present other challenges on the shorter holes so provides a good balance. If you play in the mornings and evenings you’ll often find deer wandering the course.

Been a member here for a little while now, and so glad to be a part of the club! The course is absolutely stunning, even through the winter months. Everyone is very friendly, the facilities are great, and they are constantly investing money back in. It's not a massively long course, but still a very testing layout. Plenty of well placed bunkers, streams and forest to contend with. The greens, which are some of the best around, are very tricky, and you are rarely left with a straight putt. 5* for me so far!
