Lovely venue & great staff. Lovely clean tables & chairs 👍 Very bright but the sun was shining for a change! Good coffee. Terrace outside sadly full so sat inside. All the best to Izzy who had only been there for 3 weeks & who has great mentors to guide her. Thank you.

A delightful experience. Owner and head chef, Gavin Barnes, met us before the meal and explained his ethos of using the best ingredients, and where possible sourced locally. He will not compromise on quality. Gavin trained under and has worked alongside some of the greatest chefs in the business and this manifests in the dishes he delivers. If you enjoy really good food I cannot recommend the Highstreet Kitchen enough. Treat yourself.

Fantastic lunch spot. The service was spot-on. Attentive but not intrusive. Very warm and welcoming without over-doing it. And the food, oh my. The food was out of this world. The most tender chicken, the dept of flavours on the gravy, the sweetness of the cabbage… just phenomenal! My wife had the steak w/ asparagus and garlic butter and it did not disappoint. The portion size is veery generous and all the garnishes and fixings were delicious. We’ve had worse in proper steakhouses local to us. The fact that only the best local produce is being served and all the love and passion invested really shows. Do yourself a favour and have a look at the wine on offer and ask for advice if you need to. Both great new world and old world options that will cater for everyone. This was a party of 4 that just walked up without booking and the team said yes with a big smile. Thank you all for our great lunch. Memories were made around that table.

Cosy, quaint and easy to see why it's so popular with the locals. A tasty Lounges breakfast with excellent coffee .. really hit the spot. The home made carrot cake followed and took freshness to a new level. Great service came as standard. Visiting Lymington?.. don't miss a visit to Lounges 👍🏻

If you are looking for somewhere for a romantic date night or somewhere to go for a phenomenal meal, look no where else but here. Attentive staff, amazing fresh food, accommodating to allergies, light and fresh atmosphere. Only grip would be not prompting for a card tip, who carries cash anymore. Will return when next over this way! Highly recommended...

Beautiful. Came over from Spain at the weekend to take my Nan here for her birthday. Spoke to the chef before going that week and asked what would be on the menu and he said depending on the day as we get everything locally, which I thought was fab and even better. Made the booking on Saturday and I must say we both really enjoy it, the seating are atmosphere, staff and the food was amazing and good portion and beautifully presented. I will be sure going back again when I return to the UK. Thank you so much.

Great hidden gem off the High Street, an independent rather than a bland chain. Had home made mushroom soup with warm bread and a mug of hot chocolate, really good and friendly staff. Recommended

Friendly helpful staff. Lovely relaxed feel with seating indoors and out. Quiet as set back from high street Selection of gluten free cakes and do a delicious gluten free toasties. Very careful to make it safe with allergies, which was much appreciated.

Went for lunch. Had an amazing 'open sandwich' which was a bowl of delicious warm Mediterranean veg with salad and flat bread. Went back for tea and cake the same day! Amazed at how quiet it was. You can sit in or out, the staff are great and the food was exceptional.

What a find! Contacted ZS Electrical about a flush fit ceiling light that was flickering and working only intermittently. Stephane was able to visit the following day, firstly to test the circuit for safety and then supply and fit a replacement sealed unit. All done quickly and with a friendly manner - and at a very reasonable price. Will definitely use ZS again.

I highly recommend Stephane. He installed a new fused spur for us to power a couple of outdoor infrared heaters. His communication was great throughout the process. He was quick, neat, took care of our house and overall did a great job! I wouldn’t hesitate to use him again for another job.

Stephane came to complete an electrical inspection at my property. Arrived on time, great communication beforehand. Great service, each aspect explained well, any additional work was explained thoroughly and demonstrated to me. Tidy work, cleaned up afterwards, very reasonable pricing. We entered our regular haunt, The Stanwell hotel, to find they stopped serving breakfast. Our alternative was to seek nourishment at Babelas, a relatively new cafe on the high street. We were greeted by a warm, welcoming and friendly smile. This was followed by delicious croissant, avocado, smoked salmon and scrabbled eggs aling with a mocha. This was a breakfast both delicious and of generous proportion. Later we met Peter, the owner who was friendly and very helpful, who also explained the meaning of Babelas. This comes from the African meaning 'hangover' . It's simple. If you are within 20 miles, just go there . . .

First day, first visit and these guys absolutely nailed the coffee - rich, smooth latte with beans roasted by Badhand. Combine that with fresh new decor, chilled tunes with a Mediterranean vibe, and super friendly service - I'll be back!

We only went for coffee which was hot and not being an expert, was lovely and fresh. My friends had croissants and cinnamon buns. The owner is delightful, nothing too much trouble for his clients. The only thing I would mention is that it was chilly in the café but maybe because we were there quite early!

Visited Babelas in Lymington for the first time and wasn’t disappointed. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive, the seating upstairs was comfortable, and the prices were very reasonable. The Bad Hand coffee was also very nice indeed. Definitely recommend a visit. Keep up the good work!

Throughly enjoyed my experience at this cafe. I went in alone for quick lunch and it was great. Busy enough to have an atmosphere but quiet for me to get some emails done. The Mediterranean dish was lovely along with a coffee and tea. Will be going again. The main thing was every member of staff was so friendly, quick services but very warm welcoming.
