Ben fixed our leaking flat roof that was “repaired” by cowboy traders in October 2023. It was great to see how a professional job should be done! No payment taken until job was completed and kept us informed throughout and explained how the system he uses works. Definitely felt he went out of his way to ensure the job was done to the best possible standard.

I’ve had a persistent leak beside a dormer window which I have tried unsuccessfully to have repaired by other roofers. I found Ben on the Trading Standards website and he undertook a number of improvements to guttering, redirecting how rain drains away and replacing several areas of roof felting that had deteriorated and had been punctured. I cannot recommend Ben strongly enough, extremely personable, reliable and really knows his stuff. Thank you for a job, promptly undertaken, competitively priced and most importantly, very well done.

Had patio cleaned, extended and repointed properly to match original. One side of garden dug out and replaced with pebble border for pots. Much easier now for me to keep tidy. Large Pittisporum tree that was looking rather untidy was trimmed and reshaped. Very pleased with all the work carried out, big thanks to Francis, Reilly, Robin and Kelly, who were punctual, extremely tidy and worked very hard to make the garden and patio look so much better. I would highly recommend Avant Gardener Ltd, very glad I found them when looking to get my garden revamp done and for any future work required.

On very short notice, Francis and his team transformed my Mum's Garden, in readiness for a house sale. I couldn't be happier with the results. They did an excellent job cutting the grass, trimming the edges, pressure washing the patio and much more, really going above and beyond. Their attention to detail is impressive, and they left the garden looking fresh and well-maintained. They are always very punctual, professional, and work efficiently without any issues. Excellent service. We had a reoccurring problem with rats in the attic - Latham Pest Control were the only company to finally resolve the problem. They worked out how the rats were getting in, successfully got rid of them and advised on preventing their return. I am pleased to say that 18 months later - still no more rats!! Extremely efficient and good value service. The guy came out the day after I contacted him, laid some bait and showed me where the rats were entering the house. Two follow-up visits were included in the initial price, and I'm happy to say that the rat problem has gone. Highly recommended.

Graham came round to have a look at our lead flashing. He was able to fix the problem there and then and because it was a small job, he wouldn’t take any money. It’s hard to find honest workmen nowadays and when you do find one, keep hold of them. Thank you Graham we will be using you again and again and again in the future. Came well recommended and didn't disappoint. Clear advice, no hard selling. Turned up when promised, and left everything clean and tidy every day. Result is sharp looking and just what was promised - full replacement of a flat roof and repairs to pitched roof tiles and chimney flashing. Graham is a lovely guy to deal with, friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend 100% and will defiantly use again in the future.

Excellent company. Fantastic communication from start to finish. Ed listened to what type of bar I wanted , did an initial site visit then put together detailed plans which he sent across for review. The end result was even better than I had hoped for. The finish and workmanship was excellent and Harry and the two guys who came to install were great to deal with and did a meticulous job. I can't recommended Mike & Abbotstone Pest Control highly enough. We initially wasted 2 months working through multiple pest control businesses who would do a bad job and just disappear. We were losing all faith in the industry when we were referred to Abbotstone Pest Control by someone who had a similar experience. From Mike's first visit it was clear that we had found someone who would solve our problems. Mike is incredibly thorough, he comes with years of experience and know-how but doesn't assume every case is the same and invests hours assessing the problem and looking for the root cause rather than a quick fix. We knew our problem wasn't ever going to be an overnight fix but once we found Abbotstone Pest Control and had Mike working with us, we always had confidence that it would be rectified and we were always thankful for methodical and transparent approach. Each visit was action-orientated and when we needed to bring in other contractors for drainage work Mike worked closely with them to ensure alignment. In situations which are obviously stressful and upsetting to have around your home, Mike is very reassuring and empathetic and works through the problem with you - providing you with a clear explanation of where the problem is coming from and how to fix it permanently. If you're unfortunate enough to require a pest controller, that least you're fortunate enough to be reading Abbotstone Pest Control's reviews and have found the right place to rectify your issues.
