I highly recommend TopGrades in St Albans. Two of our children went to TopGrades for A level tutoring in Geography and Maths with Juneid and Bacem. We are incredibly grateful for the learning support and encouragement they received at TopGrades, which has enabled them to go forwards with confidence and do well in their studies.

My 10 year old son attends Top Grades most days where he is tutored in all the main subjects. We have been coming to Top Grades now for about a year and a half. The tuition he receives is excellent and he is very happy there. The teachers treat him as an individual and have tailored their teaching to help him learn in the best way possible. I have been very impressed. I can really see results. When we had to go on holiday my son even insisted on coming into the centre to have his lessons before we left for our hols! Amazing :)

I would like to say a huge thanks to First Class Learning and their way how they not only motivate both my children to learn, but also the progress they have made since joining their tutoring program in Maths and English. My son was actually asked to join as well after seeing his older sister so happy after she comes from tutoring. Both of them are enjoying their lessons and always feel confident to ask for any help or if they don't understand something. The way how it is explained to them is easy, understandable and sometimes so funny... So they will remember it forever... I have to add that I have actually seen my daughter helping 3 friends with homework and the way how to understand it. I was amazed! We started 1st class learning 7 months ago and I can see a big improvement with my daughters. Their confidence has improved a lot and they are very willing to go every Saturday. Caroline and Tim are doing a great job motivating and inspiring them. At the beginning ,only one of my girls had started, when I saw the improvement she made I signed up and my little one too. Their writing skills and understanding how they need to write in full sentences has made a big difference, that it has been noticed by their school teachers! Maths my little one is doing amazing she is really enjoying it ! They have a great method motivating them to achieve their goals. I would highly recommend Caroline and Tim to everyone, they also have and amazing team that they are there to guide and help the little ones during their lessons.

Emilia has improved her grades at school and is now in the top set for maths. The tuition sessions keep her focused on what is really required and what will give her success in exams. She’s not naturally academic but experiencing success is encouraging her to aim higher. Without First Class Learning she would certainly have fallen behind and felt less motivated. Honestly the best tuition out there, they got me from a Predicted D to an A in a matter of months for my English GCSE- I was only expecting to leave with a C grade. The impact of this was long lasting as it helped me with my A levels and I am now going off to university. They are extremely friendly and understanding and suggest a number of resources which is just extra help to improve. They are the best tuition group out there, and I have unfortunately been through a fair few before reaching VAKS which do not even compare the the quality VAKS tuition can offer. Moreover, they are all extremely encouraging and believe that every pupil can succeed; even when they doubt themselves (which I certainly did) and go above and beyond in order to help every individual student achieve what they require, if not better. Worth every penny!

My son attended Vaks and loved it! I knew we had the right place, when my son attended the initial assessment and wanted to return. Vaks did an amazing job at building his confidence in his phonics during Year 2. The team are very encouraging and nurturing too. Firm but friendly and it was a pleasure to work alongside them to assist with my sons English. Thank you.

Got the job done for local 11+ admission. Only reason not 5 stars was that there could be better communication. We had to intervene to support the essay writing with direct parent tutoring, but rest of tests went fine. thanks VAKS!

In that time he has had 2x fantastic maths tutors Manoji (primary) and Philippa (secondary) They've both been great at building his confidence in maths and being his cheerleaders when he 's grasped a tricky concept. From our first contact, through assessment for access arrangements, completing mocks, and final exam sat, I have been really pleased with the service we received at Marvellous Minds.
