We recently had a small fishpond and large surrounding shrubs removed from our garden, and consulted with John regarding the best way forward. We agreed that a circular patio would make best use of the wasted space, and John was happy to source materials and complete the work. It sounds simple, but there was so much work involved in simply levelling the area off and removing unwanted detritus before the actual installation could begin. We could not fault his attitude, work ethic and efficiency as he undertook the prep work. We were equally impressed by his attention to detail when actually laying the patio, ensuring a perfect finish. He also then lay new turf to fill the gap between the patio and the existing lawn. We are absolutely delighted with the project and are grateful to John for making our original idea become reality. I would have no hesitation, and in fact, I do recommend JRG for any landscaping job one may be considering.

John was certainly the most professional landscape gardener we have ever used. He was thoughtful, consistent and listened to the customer - a very rare trait today. John occasionally was assisted by his team members although that was rare as he really participated 100% in our new garden which was a very difficult project being on a 1:20 slope. Not only did John lay our artificial grass to perfection with a brick edging, but also did the same for the front garden. Every day John left the site clean and tidy and always kept us informed of progress which depended, some days, on torrential rain which often didn't stop him planting trees! I can now add that his after sales response, for a couple of really minor items, was immediate. I can highly recommend JRG Landscapes for any residential household that wants a total refit or an upgrade to their garden.

Excellent service. John is so professional and good to his word. Our conifer trees needed a good cut back and prune. He was very considerate of our neighbours in keeping everything within our boundaries. A very hard worker, clean and tidy and have no doubts in recommending him to others. Will certainly use him again.

John has done a great job on our driveway and parking area, all the old gravel was scraped away right down to the sub-surface and the waste was regularly and efficiently cleared off-site. After base consolidation, the whole area was covered with a good layer of new gravel with minimal disruption to our access and I am very pleased with the results. With his helpful, professional approach and attention to the job details, I have no hesitation in recommending JRG Landscapes' services.

Faith provided us with a full 3D design and planting plan for different areas of our garden which helped us visualise what it could look like. She came up with new ideas for features and inclusions we would not have thought of ourselves and had great connections with good quality manufacturers and suppliers we would not have considered. Faith and her team then worked incredibly hard to plant up 100s of plants in two days in the wind and rain! Faith is exceptionally knowledgeable and passionate about all things horticulture and I would not hesitate to recommend her to others requiring direction and vision for their country garden.

Shout-out to Faith for designing planting plans for three of our borders and doing the actual planting too. Our sorry looking bare borders had been a source of stress for us for way too long as they needed doing but I just didn’t feel confident with what plants to choose and how to best fill them. Faith did a brill job with the design, ordering the plants, improving the soil and planting hundreds(?) of beautiful plants into the borders with her lovely team. For us, the planting itself would have taken weeks probably, Faith and the team did it very efficiently in two days. We are so relieved it’s now done – well worth the money spent! – and happy with how they look now. And they are only getting better as the plants establish over winter and start growing and blooming next spring and summer. Can’t wait to see that! Thank you Faith!

Man, I’m super impressed with the gardening service! The hedges are trimmed just right, and the lawn looks absolutely immaculate. The patio and block paving are spotless, and the fencing is on point too. If you want your garden to look fresh, these guys are the ones to call! Highly recommend!

I had them round to landscape my small garden, remove all the old grass and replace with stones. They did an amazing job and even after work was done and payment made they come back to fix a few slabs on my path which did not set due to the bad weather, no questions asked. Whis was done 2 days after I reported the issue. Can't recommed them enough what a lovely family run company.

My garden looks absolutely beautiful. I had my patio and fences done with beautiful block paving which makes my garden look so big and lovely even fencing! Good attention to detail with only perfect being the acceptable outcome for them. The hedges have been trimmed so beautifully and lawn was also cut. Really impressed and recommend!

We started working with Garden Thyme in October, with the focus just on our Football Pitch that the club use. The Centre only had coverage for the pitch to be marked & cut once a month. We had so many issues with it not allowing us to play football so we got in touch with Garden Thyme to help. They came in to do a review, instantly we found out the pitch was too small. with 95 x 85 instead of the FA requirements of 100 x 85, alongside that the pitch wasn't even straight! They were able to fix that, using Blue lines & the Robot to give us a perfect size pitch & even but our club Logo in the ground! Then the main focus was why the pitch was so bobbly, the team found out the pitch wasn't rolled, so Garden Thyme brought their Quad Mower to roll, cut & brush the pitch all at once, whilst also cutting into the soil allowing it to breath once rolled. The game after you could see the huge difference & the team all said it made a huge difference. We highly recommend them to any football club!

I found Ian on a shared instagram post from the Reading Sunday league and enquired if he was willing to quote for the marking out of our 11 5aside tournament pitches . So easy to deal with and so professional from start to finish to the point we have booked them back for 2025 ! . Very cost efficient I cannot recommend them highly enough thank you it was a pleasure to deal with you and so much less stress than marking them out ourselves and a far superior appearance ! Adam Vetere did an amazing job when designing my 100 sqm roof terrace. He was professional, courteous and efficient throughout the process, and his design exceeded my expectations in every respect. The greatest hurdle to overcome with designing a roof terrace is to work within considerable weight limitations and yet to still come up with a pleasing result and make it all look effortless. Adam achieved all that and I could not be more happy with the results. Working with Adam on this project was a pleasure. We have areas for the children to play and three separate seating areas, all tied together by a beautiful planting scheme. We want to be outside all the time! We are so impressed with the way the design maximises the special and unusual setting of our garden in the surrounding landscape. The garden is full of bees and butterflies all day, so we really feel that the project has had a positive impact on the environment around us, too. Adam’s support during the whole design and build process was exemplary. We used Nick's services for the first time recently and we were very pleased with the work he and his assistant did for us. This involved extensive cutting back of quite a large number of small trees and shrubs, plus trimming a small hedge. Nick gave us a quote in advance, which we thought was reasonable in view of the amount of work involved. The final bill was exactly as agreed. They turned up on time and worked quickly and efficiently. They were friendly and cheerful. All the branches were taken away and our garden was left looking much tidier and more spacious. than before. We would be very happy to ask Nick to come back again when more work is required.
