We've previously used Dean from Black & White Tree Surgery to remove a couple of trees in the front garden that had gotten out of hand, and so when it came time to replace an enormous hedge in the back garden with fencing to match the rest of the border, B&W were our first port of call. To give an idea of scale, the hedge in the pictures is around 3m wide and 10m long and had a wire fence with metal posts buried in the middle of it, so couldn't just be chopped down and chipped, but instead had to be removed piecemeal and the fence cut out before the trunks could be chain sawed and the stumps ground down. There were 10 trees making up the hedge each with trunks of around 8" diameter, and for some reason a giant earth berm, which doesn't look like much in the pictures but filled half a skip once removed to level ground. Dean was able to locate matching panels for the replacement fencing and had them onsite the next day and the fencing went up in short order. We're just waiting for a particular supplier to restock their trellis to match out existing fencing panels which we'll slot in when its available, but the work Dean and his team did was excellent. The crew were polite, worked hard, turned up when they said they would, and left the site clean and tidy. As an aside, my cats love the dirt area where the hedge used to be. They think we've created a giant dust bath just for them. Excellent work guys, much appreciated!

Dean and team, amazing job! After storm damage we called them to help with a tree fallen over and into the Mill Stream, no other company would touch it. Dean and his team have worked tirelessly to remove the tree in rain and mud. They have cleared all debris from the water we can't thank you enough for taking on the job no one else would do. What a difference and 1st class service again!!! On moving house, my 1st port of call was to Dean and the B&W team to remove this huge eyesore in the back garden! I like trees, but this one was unsafe and in no way a good specimen. It was a bit of an eyesore and caused huge shadows across several of the neighbouring properties. As before, Dean was there within a day or 2 to inspect and quote to remove the tree and also some rather unsightly bushes & shrubs in both front & rear gardens. Very competitive quote and turned up within 1 week to complete the work. All done within 2 days with minimal fuss and a great job all round, not that there was ever any doubt of that! Dean followed up with a further visit to advise on possible landscaping ideas which was extremely useful. I cannot recommend B&W more highly and you’d be bonkers to look elsewhere… Stevie Hair Ps. My garden looks absolutely beautiful. I had my patio and fences done with beautiful block paving which makes my garden look so big and lovely even fencing! Good attention to detail with only perfect being the acceptable outcome for them. The hedges have been trimmed so beautifully and lawn was also cut. Really impressed and recommend!

Highly recommend Glorious Gardens Son & Co! Straight from the start they were extremely polite and very knowledgeable about what they were doing which gave me confidence with them doing my garden. They cleared all the leaves, cut all the hedges and striped the lawn perfectly. I was extremely happy with their visit so I got them back to do a fencing job for me which they absolutely smashed. Everything was done to perfection! They definitely take pride in their work and couldn’t recommend them enough!

We used Nick's services for the first time recently and we were very pleased with the work he and his assistant did for us. This involved extensive cutting back of quite a large number of small trees and shrubs, plus trimming a small hedge. Nick gave us a quote in advance, which we thought was reasonable in view of the amount of work involved. The final bill was exactly as agreed. They turned up on time and worked quickly and efficiently. They were friendly and cheerful. All the branches were taken away and our garden was left looking much tidier and more spacious. than before. We would be very happy to ask Nick to come back again when more work is required.

We recently moved to the area and found great reviews about Nick. Very quick response and service - we moved into a property with an overgrown lawn and hedges and ivy. Nick got the property looking healthy again. Local company that offers friendly and efficient service.

Jamie came round to assess the work i needed to be done for my mum. He supplied a quote and a couple of weeks later he and another came to do the work. Not living near mum i need to be able to trust tradesmen i employ to do work for mum and the great thing about Family Tree Landscaping all the work is kept within house; Jamie came to assess and also to do the work. This is not always the case with other companies i have used. I would certainly use them again; they are local, respectful and professional. I recommend them.

Jamie and his team did an absolutely fantastic job cutting back and shaping a very large and wide hedge, made up of loads of different plants and trees. See before and after photos. They were very hard working and tidy, managing to do the whole job off ladders. Price was also very reasonable. I was extremely impressed and will definitely use them again.

Jamie and the two Sam's provided an outstanding service replacing our driveway and repaving the front of the house. Great attention to detail, no corners cut and a top quality result. Highly recommended!

Jamie was really clear in how he would go about what we needed and then Sam and Sam came to fit a drainage channel along our front door, and a channel under our paving to take the water away. They did a first rate job in only a few hours.

Aaron and Emily came to see us to reduce and trim a variety of trees, hedges, and other garden shrubs. They are honestly the nicest people you could meet. Very professional, hard working and took the time to explain everything beforehand. This gave us a lot of confidence in the work they were going to carry out. I can't praise or recommend Aaron and Emily highly enough - such lovely people who work so hard and produce amazing results in just one day - well just over half a day! Their quote was very reasonable and I had no doubts about booking them for my garden blitz. The garden had been neglected for roughly two years and it was a jungle. They arrived promptly on the day and just worked so hard - as I work over the road from my house, I could see just how hard they were working. I went over to have a look at the garden before they packed up and I felt like I was on a garden make-over programme; I couldn't believe how much they had done in six hours. I met with Aaron & Emily at my Fathers house which had become very overgrown, despite our best efforts to try and hold nature at bay. With all of the sun and rain over the last couple of months it had become beyond what my Sister & I could manage. Aaron & Emily came in over the last two days, including one day of torrential rain, and completely transformed the garden. Both my Sister & I were blown away by the quality & speediness of the massive job they had at hand. Including removing all of the waste created. Aaron & Emily completed the work on time and on budget, and are lovely professional people to deal with, with a wealth of knowledge and understanding of what the job required. My sister & I cannot recommend them highly enough to anybody looking to get their garden looking amazing, whether that’s a huge job like we needed or just keeping on top of everything.

Adam has designed a beautiful garden for us, which we hope will be implemented in the coming month or two. We have been so impressed with Adam throughout the design process - his design is perfect for our very unusual site, and he listened to all of our requirements throughout. He has done far more than we would have expected in supporting us through the planning application process. We can't wait to see our garden come to life! Update Aug 2022 Our garden has now been completed and we are absolutely delighted. Despite only increasing the useable area of the garden by a relatively small amount (with a stunning cantilevered deck over a steep slope in the garden), Adam’s clever design means our garden feels very much larger than it did. We have areas for the children to play and three separate seating areas, all tied together by a beautiful planting scheme. We want to be outside all the time! We are so impressed with the way the design maximises the special and unusual setting of our garden in the surrounding landscape. The garden is full of bees and butterflies all day, so we really feel that the project has had a positive impact on the environment around us, too. Adam’s support during the whole design and build process was exemplary. He clearly has strong links in the industry - the contractor he recommended to complete the project was excellent, and Adam was on hand whenever we or the build team needed design or planting guidance. We can’t recommend him highly enough!

Adam Vetere did an amazing job when designing my 100 sqm roof terrace. He was professional, courteous and efficient throughout the process, and his design exceeded my expectations in every respect. The greatest hurdle to overcome with designing a roof terrace is to work within considerable weight limitations and yet to still come up with a pleasing result and make it all look effortless. Adam achieved all that and I could not be more happy with the results. Working with Adam on this project was a pleasure. He was always available and helpful on the phone or by email when I had a query … not a ‘given’ these days. I can highly recommend Adam. If I could give him 10 stars, I happily would.

From the outset, working with Adam has been an absolute pleasure. He listened to my ramblings, asked me insightful questions and managed to capture every nuance of those conversations. John has done a great job on our driveway and parking area, all the old gravel was scraped away right down to the sub-surface and the waste was regularly and efficiently cleared off-site. After base consolidation, the whole area was covered with a good layer of new gravel with minimal disruption to our access and I am very pleased with the results. With his helpful, professional approach and attention to the job details, I have no hesitation in recommending JRG Landscapes' services.

Excellent service. John is so professional and good to his word. Our conifer trees needed a good cut back and prune. He was very considerate of our neighbours in keeping everything within our boundaries. A very hard worker, clean and tidy and have no doubts in recommending him to others. We recently had a small fishpond and large surrounding shrubs removed from our garden, and consulted with John regarding the best way forward. We agreed that a circular patio would make best use of the wasted space, and John was happy to source materials and complete the work. It sounds simple, but there was so much work involved in simply levelling the area off and removing unwanted detritus before the actual installation could begin. We could not fault his attitude, work ethic and efficiency as he undertook the prep work. We were equally impressed by his attention to detail when actually laying the patio, ensuring a perfect finish. He also then lay new turf to fill the gap between the patio and the existing lawn. We are absolutely delighted with the project and are grateful to John for making our original idea become reality. I would have no hesitation, and in fact, I do recommend JRG for any landscaping job one may be considering.
