We have had the most amazing experience with Ann-Marie Powell Gardens. I would thoroughly recommend this garden company for their talent, skill and friendly professionalism. We started using Ann-Marie's design services about 6 years ago to completely revamp an existing cottage garden and have maintained a rewarding ongoing relationship; replanting the garden as and when we think of new ideas. Currently our garden is shortlisted under AMP's name for the Society of Garden Designers Awards and has previously been much televised and photographed for publication - a testament to the quality of AMP's work. Over the 15 years Anne Marie has been working in our garden she does not cease to amazing in her ability to create interesting designs and bring them to fruition. Anne Marie Powell Gardens have put us in contact with some amazing contractors and has given us the garden of our dreams!

Ann-Marie took what was almost a field and turned it into a stunning, colourful garden, where I can potter, relax and admire the insects and amphibians now residing there. She listened to my wish for strong, vibrant sometimes clashing colours and designed big blocks of colour with bright scarlets against purple and orange and red - wonderful!

I've worked with Aylwin over the past 18 months. We'd not long moved into a house with a garden that was best described as a 'blank canvas'. Aylwin worked with my wife and me to develop an initial detailed layout for the garden, prepared detailed planting plans for the various areas of the garden, purchased the plants and then planted them. He's now helping me on an ad hoc basis to manage the garden, my gardening skills being sadly lacking. I can't speak highly enough of the work that Aylwin has done for us. We now have a wonderful garden that we absolutely love and find easy to maintain.

Aylwin created a beautiful, dreamy cottage garden for us and we can’t thank him enough - it’s like a scaled-up version of a Chelsea Garden Show display. We’re so proud of it and everyone loves it. His knowledge of design (and plants, colour, and what plants would thrive) and what suits and looks high-end is outstanding. Without wishing to sound transactional it’s made such a difference to our house value too. He took everything we asked for on-board and worked with us on details when we wanted it. He also did necessary communication/ diplomacy with our neighbours! Aylwin is total design star and we’re so grateful to him for working for us.

Review of Beyond the Borders Garden Design, Alton, Hampshire. Excellent design work at a fair price. Aylwin is very approachable and knowledgeable about all aspects of landscaping. Our brief had several constraints including an old concrete rainwater collection system, various different levels, and plants to conserve . Aylwin took on board our requirements and produced a design using clay pavers which managed to draw everything together and complement the garden and house.

I couldn't be happier with the wonderful design and finished garden which completely met the brief and exceeded my expectations. Aylwin was meticulous in preparing the garden and making sure that what i wanted was possible, not an easy task given the rotten ground my original garden presented him with. He also gave me a comprehensive guide to maintaining everything and has been on hand to offer ongoing advice. I now have a beautiful garden that has been much admired. The water feature is stunning and the photos don't do it justice.

Matt has just finished replacing our old garden fence. He has done a brilliant job and if we need any other jobs would use his services again.

Very pleased with the work done by Matt and his team at Holybourne Garden Services. They dug up a brick paver patio, a couple of flower beds, and dismantled an old greenhouse. All replaced with a nice new extended patio, to include a ramp up to the log cabin where I keep my lawn tractor. Also built a new greenhouse and a smaller flower bed. They were all hard-working, tidy and courteous, and Matt kept me fully informed and made sure I was happy with progress at all stages.

I was so pleased that I contacted this company as they did a great job fencing my garden as well as cutting back years of weed growth. The team were in my opinion the best workmen I gave ever used. I will definitely be contacting them when I am ready to start the second part of the landscaping. Thank you Matt and the team for a great experience.

Kelly has been looking after my garden for about a year and does an excellent job! We recently had a patio area and a Gazebo fitted by Francis and the team and they have transformed a disused area of our garden into a haven. We had the work done over 5 days and Francis, Robin, Riley and Kelly worked really hard each and every day to create a beautiful, useable space. They left the garden tidy everyday and disposed of all the waste. They also built a log storage area for the fire pit, which wasn't part of the original plan, but Francis said he had the materials to build one for us. That was a really nice touch and it looks fantastic. It goes without saying that Luna (Kelly and Francis' beautiful Spaniel) is my favourite worker 😉 Luna always brightens up our day! Avant are absolutely amazing at what they do. They have excellent knowledge of plants, which I don't, and my garden always looks incredible when they leave. The entire team are friendly, approachable and just really nice, genuine people. I would highly recommend them for both general gardening and landscaping. Thanks to everyone at Avant for everything!

On very short notice, Francis and his team transformed my Mum's Garden, in readiness for a house sale. I couldn't be happier with the results. They did an excellent job cutting the grass, trimming the edges, pressure washing the patio and much more, really going above and beyond. Highly recommend, friendly and helpful staff.

Kelvin and his team did a great job re turfing our garden and it’s a massive improvement. They spent an hour after the work was completed tidying and cleaning the patio which was appreciated. The aftercare provided was also very helpful and well explained, would highly recommend.

The team did a fantastic job clearing the front garden for both myself and the adjoining neighbour. His team were punctual, responsive and fast working. They left the site tidy once complete and went above/ beyond to ensure everyone on the street was happy with the changes. Highly recommend for shrub removal and maintenance.

Kelvin and the team spent 2 days trimming back trees and Laurels in my garden - and lots of it around the borders. Took care of everything, team meeting both mornings, so everyone knew what they had to do - very happy customer - thank you guys

Danny is very personable and he did a great job sanding down our wooden utility worktop and two kitchen shelves. We were very pleased with the end result and they look as good new.

Danny carried out a brilliant and professional job in completely sanding down our worktops and finishing off with two coats of matt finish oil. We highly recommend his work and in keeping the jobsite clean and free from dust. Danny was very polite throughout the 2 days he worked for us and showed me how to keep the worktops in good condition.

Danny is so personable, reliable and professional. He never fails to provide an exceptional service. Whatever I need doing I know I can rely on Danny to get it done! Cannot rate him highly enough!!!

Danny did a fantastic job refurbishing our wooden worktop. It was in a really bad state with a lot of water damage, heat and scuff marks. He was professional and friendly, did an amazing job 🤩 and left everything super clean. Would highly recommend and we're so glad we found his services!

Lewis has been maintaining our garden for over a year now and it has never looked so good. The beds and grass look neat and tidy, the trees and shrubs are properly pruned and best of all, not a weed in sight! I highly recommend Lewis and Radiant Gardens.

Philip designed and built a gazebo with a roof and raised beds which were made with sleepers which blends in perfectly with the other part of our garden. Philip was flexible and came up with creative ideas and an ever evolving design. We were very impressed by the highly skilled and nature of Philip and his team who from start to finish were, reliable and extremely hard working. The site was kept clean and tidy at the end of each day and he kept to budget. We would have no hesitation in recommending Philip's Landscaping services to anyone.

Having recently had Philip replace 2 fences and lay a new path, we were delighted with the quality of the work and the fence’s survived storm Eunice with ease. The workers were friendly and polite, and we would absolutely use Philip again.

After two most successful projects – a large patio and brick paving – we were delighted to ask Philip back to construct the brick base for a Hartley Botanic Victorian Glasshouse. He and his team worked with millimetre precision to impress both us and the greenhouse installers. The weather hampered plans, but Philip managed everything excellently to ensure that deadlines were met and the end result is everything that we expected and more.

A number of projects carried out by Philip and his team. Garden design and planting, retaining sleeper walls, timber clad fencing, rendered planter walls and a block paved driveway. Aaron has done a range of garden landscaping for us over the past twelve month since we moved to Cheriton. This has included extensive ground works and building of large raised beds, shuttering to level our garden, building a large pergola, fencing and double width gate construction, custom made side gate to fit a tricky space, creation of garden beds from an original turfed area and the removal of a large dying silver birch tree. He is always exceptionally responsive, delivers a high quality finish and works with us to understand what we want whilst offering professional advice (which always turns out to be good advice!) We always go back to Aaron for all our garden landscaping work and highly recommend.

You can rely on Aaron. With his cheerful "can do' approach, most things are achievable and if they can't be done one way, he will find another. Working in a tight space over a hot bank holiday weekend, Aaron and Paul dug out, extended, widened and shored up my existing garden steps thereby making them safer and easy to use. They then prepared the ground for and laid a concrete base for my existing shed which I had asked them to relocate. They provided all the materials and removed all debris, clearing as they went and leaving a spotlessly clean space. After 2 days of hot hard work the job was done and I can now benefit daily from an attractive, safe and functional garden space. Thank you A Friend Garden Services.

I had a garden in which many of my plants were dying within a year of planting. I consulted Dan. He found the cause and recommended a very different planting scheme. Dan was very attentive and very cost-effective. He went to considerable trouble to really understand what we wanted. Unlike another designer who wanted £5,000 just for a straightforward design. We shall be implementing his design scheme in the next 2-3 months. Highly recommended!
