Somewhere slightly of the beaten track for us despite living in this neck of the woods for more than 25 years! Gardens were really nice, not too busy and you can wander around at leisure. House was closed due to a wedding but we knew that before we went. Lunch was fantastic, great selection and very tasty, even a good gluten free menu that you don't find everywhere Will be back

Lovely, tranquil place with an excellent tea room. We were impressed with the big chilli peppers in the greenhouse and the very helpful staff in both the gardens and restaurant. Signposting of the entrance to the walled garden could be better as it's rather well hidden!

Formal gardens and longer walks in the arboretum make for a very pleasurable hour or more stroll. Well worth it! Fun fact Jane Austen wrote parts of P and P here. Her brother married into this family.

Beautiful tranquil gardens with butterflies and dragonflies in abundance. Colourful gardens with pretty planting in the walled gardens. Further afield you can walk around the house and had it not been the hottest day of the year longer walks out into the surrounding countryside. The cafe serves excellent homemade food and is very popular with the local community.

It was an absolute joy to work at Goodnestone Park along side Ronnie, the wonderful house manager. Ronnie is up there with the best in the business. So calm, efficient and dedicated. I was hired to photograph an intimate 60th Birthday celebration and I couldn't think of a better venue, lavish grounds, stunning dinning hall and the two drawing rooms couldn't be more perfect for the post dinning relaxation and drinks. I can't wait to be back!
