Attention to detail in execution, fast to respond and adapt and great guys to work with. Had a job done from quote to delivery in a couple of weeks.

I shouted who's the Sparky in Screwfix as I'd seen a very cool logo on a van outside, that's when I met Luke (the L in LJ), the rest is history. I explained I'd been looking for an electrician and needed some work doing, but as I was going away he said "no problem I'll call you when you're back and pop round and have a look, I honestly though well he won't call, he did! And from that point on he and James have completed all the electrics in our new kitchen project, including a new fuse board (work of art see the photo) that James (the J in LJ) painstakingly wired. They have put power in the garden shed, and with the upgraded fuse board we no longer have any safety hazards. And they sorted all the safety certificates for the house. Yesterday they completed removal of all the old kitchen electrics and installed new equipment ready for its use as an office. So with the work complete it's only right to share the experience, as I know how hard it is to find a good electrician. I know I'm a fussy customer (a bit of OCD going on) but they have worked so hard to meet our deadlines and changing specifications, without complaint. They always explained why they do things in a certain way, and to be brutally honest I cannot fault them, both in the standard of their work and communication with us. So if you need an electrician I would look no further than LJ Electrical!

We reached out to James about an electrical safety test to ensure it was OK to use a 3pin EV charger in our garage and to replace a faulty flood light. Gave an upfront quote which gave us peace of mind about the costs. His team arrived exactly on time, and finished the work quickly & to a high standard. They took the extra time to talk me through how the EV chargers work, and generally teach me about what amps/kWh mean in relation to EVs. Made me feel a lot more secure in buying my first EV. Our go to electrician going forward.

We had what to us was an emergency but was really quite a small problem - one of our smoke alarms decided to cut out and started beeping very loudly! It was however, very upsetting. We called Gary and he came out the same morning and fixed the problem within minutes; all for a very reasonable charge! He also gave us some basic advice about smoke alarms generally. Gary is an honest, reliable, and accommodating person, and professional. We had a particularly tricky wiring requirement that involved some knowledge of UFH plumbing. Jamie and his team came and installed spotlights, an external light and did some other electrical works for me, I can't recommend them highly enough, they were quick efficient, polite, left the place spotless and couldn't be more helpful. We were very impressed from the start, and the work was completed with no hassle or problems. Very friendly and helpful.

I have used ALElectrical's services on 6 occasions now. Several additional internal sockets, external security lights, power fed to some outbuildings (sockets and lights), moving of sockets during a kitchen refiguration, feed for a power shower with fan upgrade and also to problem solve and install several new internal lights I just couldn't get to work that had some confusing existing wiring feeds. On every occasion Alex was a pleasure to deal with, arrived on time every time, was professional, knowledgeable and very informative and also (I believe) great value. I hired Alex to commission the electrics in an outbuilding, and I couldn't be more impressed. He arrived promptly as arranged, carried out a thorough inspection of the installation (originally done by a third party), and completed all the necessary testing to a very high standard. He carefully checked the wiring, labelled the fuse board, and ensured everything was safe and compliant. Alex was professional, knowledgeable, and clearly takes pride in his work. Emilio and team were wonderful and I would recommend. They rewired the upstairs of our house with new lights, switches and sockets. Fantastic job. Armoured cable, light & plug sockets for garden shed: Emilio did a fantastic job as expected, he has been helping us on many jobs ranging from redoing the electrics for an entire house to smaller jobs like specific light fixtures and fittings. The armoured cable was fitted first before our garden was redone, then Emilio finished the job after the shed was installed. Ian and his team installed a car charger as well as some outside lights and am extra socket. We cannot recommend them highly enough. They completed all the work and left us with everything tidy and working, just as promised!

Justin and Jack came to replace our old storage heaters. They did a marvellous job which was very reasonably priced compared to large companies we’d had quotes from previously If you are planning on replacing your storage heaters, I would highly recommend using I&B Electrical .
