I was really impressed by the service today, last visit was 2 years ago. I received a polite welcome at reception, didn’t have to wait long to be seen by my Dentist Shahzad Ahmad. He was very welcoming and friendly, made me feel at ease, was very thorough with my history and examination, kept me informed the whole way through. Gave me some really good advice and tips. Would 100% recommend, thankyou!

Had my 6 monthly check up today and I must say I had the full works, Shahzad was very thorough indeed. Took the time to explain to me in detail what we was seeing on the xray and I felt very well informed and impressed with the service. Would highly recommend.

Having endured significant pain from one of my teeth, I was therefore delighted to request an emergency appointment, the following Wednesday was offered and taken. The decision was made extract the tooth, which was achieved under anesthetic, early days, but grateful for the speedy response.

Excellent service, and the receptionists and dentists are always friendly. The dentist always discuss the option before going ahead with the treatment, and also make sure that I am happy with it. The only downside to this practice is the parking space as it is too small, and it's very difficult to find space. Apart from that, great experience every time, so thank you.

I had an extraction at this practice, where I was sedated and numbed before the procedure. I was told previously by many different practices that they couldn’t do it due to the fact it was so complex. These guys were my last hope (unless I waited over a year for the hospital to fit me in) these guys immediately told me they could do it, how it would happen and gave me a date straight away. The date never changed and I was never pushed back (which is unheard of with my dental journey). I was also given plenty of reminders by them so I couldn’t forget about the appointment. When the day arrived I was extremely anxious however, as soon as I arrived I was calmed down and given peace of mind. The procedure was quick, painless and due to the sedation I didn’t even realise it was happening. I was then given an area to recover in post procedure and given the aftercare instructions which were easily understandable and reassured that if I had any concerns or worries I could contact them and they would help. I honestly couldn’t thank them enough!!

Huge thank you to Hannah and her partner, that was the smoothest fastest and easiest I’ve ever had a tooth removed, friendly, approachable and reassuring. To both ladies, thank you very much

Outstanding - Today I went in to the dental practice very anxious about having my molar tooth taken out. I had requested sedation for my extraction - I don’t even remember it coming out certainly the way forward if you are extremely anxious like myself. The communication, respect and care demonstrated by Hannah and her team is truly outstanding thank you for your care & patience today. 😊

Amazing staff- considering I’ve had a phobia of anything dentistry since childhood ( I’m 61 now), the reception staff warm and Welcoming. David( aka Harry Potter) the best!!!!!!!!!!!! So charming and patient. Loves a chat too- wish he’d been around in the 60,s!!! The Dental Nurses so lovely too . We had such a laugh which is just the tonic when someone is a tad nervous!!! I’ve booked for 6 months ( I usually delay!!) cause I now have overcome my fear/anxiety thanks 🙏 to the Staff here. Ruth Masterson xx

I have been a patent with this incredible practice since it very first opened under the wonderful Glen Thelwell with his then dental assistant Michelle. This wonderful Lady is the absolute heart and soul of this establishment. Being there from the beginning demonstrating care, empathy and unconditional understanding to patients. Michelle really is the beating heart of the surgery and genuinely cares for every person who attends whilst now literally managing the practice. I have received so many NHS and private treatments over the years from numerous practitioners and each and every one has been outstanding. My entire family followed me in the beginning and became grateful patients. The atmosphere is always relaxing and friendly, incredibly clean and welcoming. I truly can not recommend this fabulous dental practice highly enough.

Very impressed!! I had never had a good experience at any dentist UNTIL I came here! I was not sure what to expect but the dentist himself and all the staff were excellent, patient, explained everything clearly, and were very professional with my double extraction of 2 wisdom teeth. Aftercare explained well too. All in all a positive ending to nearly 3 months of messing about. Well on the road to recovery now.

The staff at the reception always have a smile and are ready to help and the general environment in the surgery is warm and welcoming. I do see doctor Abouhamdah for the last two years at least and I am so happy and pleased with the service I suffer from anxiety and any doctor trip for me is a challenge They make me feel so nice and calm and I do get proper attention and care every single time. Highly recommended 👌

Dr Shiraz Khan performed my wisdom tooth removal surgery and I couldn't have asked for a better surgeon to do so. He explained the process to me beforehand and ensured I was able to make an informed decision with no pressure at all. He made sure I was comfortable and able to communicate easily. I was extremely nervous but felt safe and confident with him performing the surgery. Overall, Dr. Khan was not only a highly skilled surgeon but also one of the kindest and most attentive healthcare professionals I’ve encountered.

This is by far the best dental surgery in clay cross and the best one I’ve ever visited hands down. It’s clean and the dental hygienist and dental surgeons are incredible at what they do , I’ve never had a problem getting an appointment or being seen. All my treatments have been professionally carried out too by Tony , the best dentist I’ve ever seen he’s patient , kind he even helps the less able patients back in to the reception area. I wouldn’t go to any other dentist ever ! Keep up what you do tony… 🤩🤩🤩🕶️

I've been in this dentistry for 2 years by the NHS. To get an appointment, just call and make an appointment for a convenient day and time for you. I didn't have to wait long. I'm happy. I treated my teeth here several times, and today I was on a preventive examination. Also here you can get the necessary advice in particular from a doctor who speaks English and also in Russian (it's very convenient for me since I'm from Ukraine and I'm really more comfortable communicating on any topic of dental problems in Russian). Thank you very much for your attention and constant support.

Initially went to this dentist as I'd broken my front tooth & my NHS dentist had removed me from their list for not attending enough times!! 🤬 I arrived for my emergency dental appointment at Saltergate Dental with both my infant granddaughter in her pram & my 91 year old mum, not realising the surgery was upstairs! This was no problem as members of staff immediately helped me to get both of them upstairs (no mean feat!) and it seemed nothing was too much trouble. I had been booked in for a check up appointment (required before any work can be carried out) but my new dentist managed to squeeze in the repair to my front tooth in the same appointment. My dentist (Ayesha Chowdhury) made an amazing job of it & I am absolutely delighted! I have since been back for a deep clean appointment due to some gum disease & was again delighted with the considerate, professional service I received. Yes, I am paying for this treatment as opposed to it being NHS but to be honest, it hasn't been that much more than the NHS charges I was paying before. I would thoroughly recommend this practice.

I have been with the practice, Middleton and Gale, then on retirement of Mr.Middleton, with Justin Gale, with whom I have complete faith when needing different dental treatments with him. My experience has encouraged my adult family to register with Saltergate practice too.

HAD TO CANCEL AN APPOINTMENT AND REARRANGE DUE TO 30 MIN LATE OVERDUE. HOWEVER I CAME BACK TODAY , AND HAD TO ASK FOR A SAFE SPACE, DUE TO MY DISABILITIES. THE RECEPTIONIST SAID, THAT SAFE SPACES ARE NOT ALWAYS AVAILABLE. WHICH MAKES ME FEEL SAD AND DISAPPOINTED. AS THERE ARE MANY HEALTH CONDITIONS AND DISABILITIES, (NOT JUST MINE), THAT REQUIRE A QUIET AREA . SINCE THE NEW PREMISES ARE MUCH LARGER THAN THE OLD SITE, I AM SURE MYDENTIST COULD PROVIDE A PERMANENT SAFE ROOM FOR VUNERABLE PATIENTS, AND THOSE WITH SPECIAL NEEDS. DISABLED PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE MADE TO FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE IN ASKING FOR THE AFORE MENTIONED. THE ROOM WE WENT INTO WAS OBVIOUSLY SAVED FOR PRIVATE PATIENT OTHODONTIC AND COSMETIC CONSULTANCY. WHICH SHOULD *NOT* TAKE PRESIDENCE OVER THOSE WITH SPECIFIC NEEDS. PERHAPS THIS PRACTICE COULD HAVE A PRIORITY REGISTER. SO EXISTING PATIENTS WOULD AUTOMATICALLY BE DIRECTED THERE. HOWEVER JUSTIN GALE IS A BRILLIANT DENTIST, AND GREAT AT PUTTING NERVOUS PATIENTS AT EASE.🙂

I could not recommend this dental practice enough. I have been going to Dr. Sidhu for rental treatment for a number of years. I travel from coventry to chesterfield for treatment. This time and care if gives is exceptional. He explain exactly what he is doing, and why he is doing it. For someone that is very nervous about a dental treatment he is the perfect person to go to. His treatments are second to none. Today I have a filling replaced. You can't even see the new filling. It blends in with the existing tooth.

My 1st visit today. The ladies on reception..... you are lovely, a friendly smile and very welcoming. My Dentist was thorough and again, lovely. I am looking forward to my next visit. Not something you say usually about going to the dentist.

I recently visited the practice and the service was excellent. Nadine on reception made me feel so welcome and at ease with regards to my safety under covid checks. My dentist Jo was so friendly and helpful with advise. The nurse was also friendly and patient. Cannot fault any staff as they are professional and friendly at all times. An amazing team.

I had to visit here when I had an exposed nerve and an infection a short while ago. I am one of those people that is uncomfortable at the dentist, however, the staff including the dentist at this practice were amazing. A clear and concise conversation about what we are doing moving forward and very nice staff .... this is the best dentist I have ever visited by far. I would recommend them to anyone who (like me) has a fear of dentists messing with your teeth. 10/10 and thank you for the desperately needed emergency care 👍
