The core SSH team of Steve, Mike and Sam completed a fantastic stunning quality job which involved pretty much all of their trusted trades partners for architectural design, demolition, building, landscaping, kitchen, bathroom, electrics, plumbing, a green energy system through to final decoration. I undertook, what was to me, a very daunting roof off, walls down, ground up complete renovation and extension of our long time family home and garden. I was wowed with their customer care, attention to detail and fairness with the contract & variations. Their pace of work was amazing too with the complete transformation completed by all the trades in just 9 months.

I have used SSH Construction on numerous occasions over the years, starting with a simple kitchen and bathroom installation. Following that, I entrusted them with a complete house refurbishment and extension, and later relied on their expertise for extensive refitting work in my office and factory unit, which included the creation of a brand-new canteen. On every single occasion, their workmanship, planning, and adherence to lead times have been fantastic, consistently exceeding my expectations. Choosing the right construction company can be daunting, but SSH Construction ticks every box. They are truly a fantastic company to work with, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Well, what can I say…. It’s hard to find genuine firms in the building trade but Steve and the team are amazing. It’s the second time I have used them, the first being 11 years ago and the latest, last month in 2025. They have only got better with time. A building firm that is on time, trustworthy and courteous. They do what they can say, rather than what you want to hear. Just realistic timelines and honesty. We felt very happy to leave keys and free access, which is rare. Above all, they are excellent at their craft, coping with very awkward roof lines and my picky ways! I feel that SSH are a big enough company to deal with anything thrown at them but small enough to care and I felt a really personal touch was offered. It’s a stressful and dirty environment living through building works and this care does make a difference. In terms of pricing from my quotes, they are not the cheapest in Sutton but they are definitely not the most expensive. If you want honest, hardworking genuine builders you cannot go wrong with them. I would not use anyone else. Highly recommend.

We have just had SSH Construction complete an extension on our house. Mike was great from the get go of getting a quote, the workmanship is 1st class and the guys became part of the family for the duration of the build. House extension in Boldmere We have used SSH for several projects now including loft extension & by-fold doors. Our latest interaction has been for a kitchen extension. As always a very professional team from initial quote through to handover. Communication is good and options presented. Very tidy team which is important and exceptional quality.
