We used Scott from 1st Choice Carpentry & Building to install our new kitchen. He did a fantastic job for us - installed to a really high standard, with minimal disruption. Scott is polite and friendly, and a tidy worker. He kept us informed about everything during the process. The price we paid was very competitive and we would definitely use him again for any further carpentry or building work we needed done. We highly recommend Scott 👍

Scott came to do some panelling, build a bespoke cupboard and fit a ceiling rose. His workmanship is excellent. My living room is transformed! He listened to exactly what I wanted, was incredibly reliable and communicated well. He even worked late until the job was done! Wonderful service! I would definitely recommend him and his company.

Scott has played a very important role in our home renovation project! We've done everything from changing the windows to outside cladding, indoor carpentry and plastering etc. Absolutely impeccable craftsmanship from Scott, cannot fault a single thing he's touched! We get so many compliments on our house from passer-bys these days and it is hugely thanks to him! Scott is an honest tradesman who takes time to understand what needs to be done, but he's also got a wealth of experience and is happy to suggest ways things should be done, too. Scott also helped to recommended other tradesmen for the work that he can't do himself. Let me tell you, every person that he recommended has done well! So as long as we live in Sutton Coldfield, we'll be going back to Scott if anything else needs doing. PS: To the person who's left one star review. Sorry you missed on having Scott doing some work on your house! He really is very busy and when your quote slipped through, he was very busy with all that work that was being done on our house. This, however, shouldn't warrant a one star review, as it isn't a reflection of Scott's actual craftsmanship, which what these reviews should be about! Thanks!

Would recommend using Scott, searched through quite a few carpenters on google before deciding to use his services. I was not disappointed with the result and his workmanship, a tidy and friendly contractor, who kept me informed throughout the build and helped me out with additional jobs around the house at no extra hassle.

I had my stairs renovated by A&T Stairs Ltd recently. Adam, Tom and Cameron were amazing - they turned up as arranged, completed the job to the highest standard as well as being super-tidy throughout the process. Adam and his team took great care for the design of our short staircase banisters, offering helpful suggestions to improve the effectiveness and was flexible to our requirements and choices. The work was carried out neatly and tidily and we enjoyed having them there with their enormous amount of equipment. Unfortunately as incorrect spindles were supplied to them, there was a long delay in completing the job, otherwise it would have been 5 stars.

Excellent service from Rubien today, had to have an emergency call out to fix the front door, after sending him a quick video of the problem, he gave me a quote. When doing the job, he found it to be a bigger job than expected and said it may cost more. After several attempts of fixing it, he eventually succeeded and still only charged me the original quote. We called CGT in the early hours of Sunday morning after the door to my daughters flat was kicked in. Reuben advised us of the price and how long it would take him to get there. Wayne has helped us with a number of home renovation projects from bathrooms, to bedrooms, to kitchens and even external rendering. Every job has been of the highest standard. Additionally, Wayne is a personable, knowledgeable and highly skilled individual. He goes out of his way to make sure you’re happy with the work and treats each project as if he were doing it on his own home. We cannot recommend him enough.

Wayne was recommended to us by friends, he renovated an old, very small bathroom for us. At every turn there were problems, but they were resolved with Wayne’s usual calm and thorough approach and, nothing was too much trouble. He even managed to create extra floor area for us - not a lot- but it made all the difference. We are very pleased with our bathroom. He is reliable, knowledgable and works to very high standards. We would have no hesitation in recommending him.

Wayne refurbished my bathroom six months ago and it is absolutely amazing. Even before starting the project, he assisted in providing paperwork for the leasehold license of alteration. He completed the work swiftly and immaculately. The original toilet, washbasin and bath were removed and replaced accordingly, with a large step-in shower installed in the bath footprint. A new heated rail and extractor, plus a heated and lighted vanity mirror/cabinet complete the room perfectly. The room is so easy to keep clean as the wall-flushed mounting of the toilet and washbasin has created more room in what is a small area within the ground floor apartment. Wayne is always available for any matters, however trivial, and I would highly recommend him for any home improvements.

Excellent craftsmanship. We were thrilled with the large bespoke bookcase, headboards and door handles that Calvin crafted for us. He and Sam were punctual, polite, friendly and functioned in a tidy and clean environment throughout. I would highly recommend them. We have already rebooked them for some extra work.

My mother desperately needed some laminate flooring tided up after having a radiator moved in preparation for a stair lift to be fitted. We rang up Brian and explained we needed the flooring put down within a few days before the stair lift could be fitted. Brian was very helpful and came the next day to have a look. He then returned the following day and done the job for us. He also repaired our back door that had dropped and fitted us some window and door locks. Highly recommended. Would use again..
