âI could have spent endless hours pouring over everything in the shop. Itâs a beauty to behold in the eyes of an American. There are assortments of wonderful pastries, cakes, cookies and breads. All types of condiments and sauces. An extensive meat counter with varieties of meat and fish (I regret to say my sausage and bacon from there were immediately seized upon my return to the US). Of course there are cheeses, spreads, pate and a great frozen section of many items including ready meals. The staff was friendly and the items I was able to enjoy (like the smoked trout terrine and a steak & kidney pie) were absolutely amazingâ

The Smugglers Inn

âWeâve just returned from a wonderful two-night stay at The Smugglers Inn. On arrival, Lloyd greeted us and made us feel welcome instantly - before any money had even exchanged hands he made sure we were âfed and wateredâ after our long drive. Nothing was too much effort for any of the staffâŚ. Special mentions to Rafaela our waitress,Ella, and the bar-staff who really looked after us. The Sunday lunch was fantastic, great menu in general and a great breakfast spread! The room was spotless, cozy and well-equipped. It was my partners birthday and they went out of their way to make it special for him. We would definitely recommend staying here and we have already talked about returning one day. Thanks again to ALL the staff for making our stay so special. Sam and Philâ

âLovely place for a day out. Walks were clear and easy to stroll. The rope bridge was great fun. The views across the pool are stunning in a number of viewpoints. I guess when the azaleas are flowering it is absolutely beautiful. There's a nice cafe and lovely gift shop. I only wish we had visited before but will be back again before longâ

Hive Beach Cafe Burton Bradstock
Beach Rd, Burton Bradstock, Bridport DT6 4RF, UK
Phone: 01308 897070
âWe arrived at 11.20, just in time to order breakfast. We were lucky to get the table on the edge of the 'tent' overlooking the beach. Despite being quite busy we received very efficient service. The food arrived within 15- 20 min, then our hot drinks. We had 3 x full English and egg Benedict on muffin with bacon. Everyone enjoyed it. The only nuisance were a few wasps but not a lot to spoil our experience.â

âHad the fish and chips with mushy peas. This for us is the best fish and chips in Weymouth for your money. The batter is always cooked perfectly, lovely and crispy. A great portion of chips and nice sized pot of mushy peas. Restaurant looks perfectly out over the sea at Bowleaze cove. There is always outside seating under cover and also a decked area.â
