Nice place for a coffee stop and brunch. Fantastic ice cream milkshakes. Good flat white but was only slightly warm. Bit on the pricey side but overall a pleasant experience.
Rating: 5 / 5
Best coffee for miles, in a county where it’s tricky to find a decent flat white. Coffee is advertised as ‘Aussie style’. At least four types of hot chocolate, made properly. Dogs and kids welcomed. Nice staff. Outdoor and in-barn seating
Rating: 4 / 5
Such a lovely cafe with the most friendly staff. Dogs are allowed and the Olympics was being shown on the TV. Our food was alright, but there wasn’t a huge choice on the menu. It looks as though the weekends have a bigger variety for food if that’s what you’re planning to come in for.

Greeted with a warm welcome, then we were taken to our table. Beautiful decor with a lovely atmosphere. Very spacious inside!! Food portions generous and everyone in my party enjoyed their meal. I'm from Australia and visited with local friends when passing through this part of England. I believe the restaurant is relatively new but it didn't matter as the service was first right and the food and beverage offerings were really impressive. A wide range of offerings on the menu and you won't be disappointed if you come here after authentic delicious Italian food.
Rating: 5 / 5
Absolutely gorgeous little local Italian restaurant. The staff are friendly and know how to deliver excellent service. The food was simply divine. This restaurant has luxury tasting food for a good price. I cannot recommend enough, we will definitely be back x

Highly recommend a visit here. Wonderful restaurant with a lovely ambiance. Staff are polite, professional and helpful. Food is absolutely gorgeous. Rich opulent flavours that deliver absolute joy on a plate. Fantastic place if you're on your own, having a date or meeting up with a friend or group to celebrate a special occasion. I always check out the toilets in restaurants because it says a lot about the hygiene of the place. I found them to be clean and tidy. I will be visiting again for some truly unforgettable pasta! Thanks team La Vita.

The restaurant was nice and clean. The food was lovely, my pizza was delicious. The only down side is they don’t serve any ale! The parking was easy , just around the corner.

Come here for breakfast when visiting family in Blandford and always had a good meal. Decided to try lunch and was not disappointed 😋. Book before you arrive! 5 star 🌟

What a lovely quaint tea room which became very popular at lunchtime on our arrival. Only had to wait a few minutes when proprietor advised us a table was about to become free after being cleaned. Once seated and served with choice of refreshments, it was some 20 minutes before food was presented. Well worth the wait as we were in no haste as on holiday. Obviously, the tables filled very quickly hence the wait. The sign above the counter states, 'We don't serve fast food, We serve fresh food, As fast as we possibly can'. A very true statement given the excellent service.

Popped in on your way through the town and found a super tea room, highly recommend. We had cream tea and Dorset apple cake, lovely warm scone, beautiful tea set. Obviously a tea room run on love and care.

Beautiful tea rooms with even better food, found down a quaint little street. Highly recommend.

The Langton Arms

Rating: 4.5 (654) Price Level:
We didn't stay here in accomodation as we stayed about a 5min walk away. The staff we excellent and the food was amazing. Although they run out of white bait as a starter the chef offered a mix of calamari and what white bait was left. Can't fault the food and the staff. As a table of 11 it was amazing and they were hosting a party also. Well done to all staff on Saturday night. Oh if you visit, I would recommend the scotch egg starter, stunning. Well done

Wonderful place to eat. My husband and I visited the area and we must say that we really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The wonderful staff was helpful and lovely.

The pub itself is a historic building, beautiful area and fantastic food and drink. Some might say it's expensive, but when you learn where the ingredients come from and the owners care and devotion it's a whole experience. I can't comment on the rooms as I've never used them.

We booked a last minute room last night as we were meant to stay at the Royal Oak but they messed up and sold our room to someone else. So we were panicking as we were 4hours away from home at 18:30pm. I found the Langton arms on booking.com and immediately booked it. We had a warm welcome and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay lovely. The food was amazing and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Thank you to everyone at the Langton arms for making what was stressed and sad night to a one that we will never forget. And we are truly hoping to be back in the future!

Decent food, excellent friendly service. Went here for group Sunday pub lunch following a walk. Food was cooked to a good standard and staff were very accommodating without being fussy. However the meal felt slightly on the pricey side (over £10 for most starters and £22± for most main courses) . Would otherwise be happy to recommend. Thank you

Blackmarsh Farm Café
Blackmarsh Farm, Dodd's Cross, Sherborne DT9 4JX, UK | Cafe P: 01935 815040
Rating: 4.6 (177) Price Level:
Went with my sister ( a local ) and daughter and granddaughter. Food was really lovely. Highly reccomend the quiche. The play area is safe and really well laid out. If you are in the area it is well worth a visit. We live over an hour away but do make a beeline for Blackmarsh Farm when visiting. Staff are lovely too.
Rating: 5 / 5
Good location on the edge of Sherborne to let the kids run and play while you sit comfortably in the old farm yard with a cake and coffee or maybe a light lunch.
Rating: 5 / 5
An amazing maize, maze one of the best around. What a pity it's the final maze this year. A wonderful attraction for all the family with all the usual facilities including a superb little cafe. Play area for younger children and very reasonably priced. Staff extremely friendly and helpful adding to the experience. The maze is open all summer until early September so get in there quickly for a brilliant day out!
Rating: 5 / 5
I love this little place that has a larger personality especially around the holidays, nice food, nice helpful staff, and full of friendlyness. It gets bigger and louder during the holidays and summer months when it opens the play area and the maize maze. Lovely for families and children. I have to say it pleases my heart to see this place set up for children's outside play, they certainly keep you on your toes, even when you are not part of that group or party, it has a little downside life everywhere when is busy hearing can be an issue even when sat face to face, so if you're expecting a wee cuppa or coffee or lunch in peace or relative quite here, you honestly won't know until you get there. It's just lovely hearing the children and youths being a play outside and not attached to their phones or computers.

First visit to the restaurant. I was very impressed with our server, who suggested we could move to the adjacent barn where it would be leas noisy. He was right. It was😎. Food quality was excellent. Also, I was very impressed with the general cleanliness. Toilets were immaculate. I would definitely recommend this place. 👍

Had the pleasure of visiting here last Sunday we arrived just after 10 and there were already quite a few people here. Offered seating inside or out, we ordered coffees which were very good and then I chose the homemade granola bowl which was absolutely delicious (it was also huge!) my husband chose the Mexican open flatbread which looked amazing, which he said was really good. Lovely friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Rating: 5 / 5
Amazing food, Amazing ambience and Great service. There was no waiting time, even though the place was filled on a Wednesday morning 10am. Great bunch of ppl running the place. The cowshed breakfast was a delight. The hash browns was one of the best i have tried in UK. Overall, it is highly recommended.

We had a baby shower for my sister at The Cow Shed in their Barn area on Saturday, and it was perfect - everything we had hoped for! The staff were so helpful, both in the lead-up to the event and on the actual day. The barn itself is really picturesque, which was perfect for photos. We opted for a cream tea with both sweet and savory scones, and it was lovely. We paid per head for drinks, which guests could get from the private bar as and when they wished. There was plenty of room for games ect too. We couldn't recommend it more. We had the most special afternoon celebrating our new arrival with family and friends. A big thank you to The Cow Shed Team 🤍

Huge muscles in a nicely balanced blue cheese cream sauce. The fish chowder was also lovely, great tasting fish and fresh veg. We enjoyed on a wet and windy day, outside seating had heaters which warmed us up nicely. Would recommend after a walk.

Came here today, after walking from our campsite at Graston Copse through Burton Bradstock village. A warm welcome by a member of staff & shown to our outside table for 4 with 3 dogs. Our waitress took our drinks order & returned after a few minutes to take our food order. She was very friendly and attentive, giving time for a chat despite being extremely busy. Wait for our food was minimal and when it arrived it was hot, tasty & well presented. Back ground music was pleasant, giving the Mediterranean feeling due to the sunshine. Wouldn't hesitate in returning if we are in the area again .... thank you.

Camping at Freshwater holiday park, a 20 minute walk to visit this gem of a place. Busy and bustling restaurant, great menu, food was outstanding and the service was great too. Dog friendly aswell, all in all, will definitely be returning soon.

This is a well loved beach cafe which has beautiful scenic views, it is very popular and rightly so. The menu is mainly fish and seafood dishes. However, they do a smashing full English breakfast up to 11.30 am. I will post pics. This dog friendly beach cafe has a carpark close by, but if you choose to walk along the cliff top path or the lower paths, you will walk within the most beautiful scenery. This is a totally table service venue, so once you are seated, you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the view. Prices are reasonable.

We arrived at 11.20, just in time to order breakfast. We were lucky to get the table on the edge of the 'tent' overlooking the beach. Despite being quite busy we received very efficient service. The food arrived within 15- 20 min, then our hot drinks. We had 3 x full English and egg Benedict on muffin with bacon. Everyone enjoyed it. The only nuisance were a few wasps but not a lot to spoil our experience.

Lovely place for a day out. Walks were clear and easy to stroll. The rope bridge was great fun. The views across the pool are stunning in a number of viewpoints. I guess when the azaleas are flowering it is absolutely beautiful. There's a nice cafe and lovely gift shop. I only wish we had visited before but will be back again before long
Rating: 5 / 5
Beautiful place to go for a stroll with much of the area covered by a forest canopy. Lovely little café which was reasonably priced with an amazing outlook onto the lake. Took a pram with my newborn with a fairly accessible route around the Blue Poole. Many of the other trails have steps to access so will use a baby carrier next time.
Rating: 5 / 5
Went there as part of a new trail race and a great location. The pool is still blue all year so never disappointed, but obviously better when weather is clear. Great walks around. Good cafe. Well family priced.

Lovely scenic spot that's well worth the visit. Very relaxing and pretty. Nice place for family, kids, dogs or just pleasant walk round on your own. Cheerful, friendly and helpful guy in ticket office and pleasant staff in cafe. Thoroughly enjoyed the place. Nice little plant shop, Ice cream shop and gift shop. Easy access loos. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

I eat here with a friend ,early tea time .the girl who served our table was very attentive, the food was brought to the table quickly. Their were 10 other dinner's too..I imagine we sat in the newly extended part of the public house . As we finished our food their was live music . Clean well decorated with a friendly atmosphere. My friend and I were very happy.

Had the most amazing Sunday lunch to celebrate a special 93rd birthday. The staff decorated specially in just the perfect window area of the pub. The atmosphere is so welcoming including kids and even the dogs! The staff and service was just excellent. Sunday lunch we all immediately opted for the Roast beef which was cooked to perfection and comes with a huge Yorkshire pudding, roasties, all your fave veggies and the best stuffing I've ever tasted! Pudding was an easy choice for most with an all time fave of Sticky Toffee Pudding but I chose the Rice Pudding with apples & homemade honeycomb.....every mouthful tasted like apple crumble, it was delicious. Coffee and birthday cake to end a wonderful lunch in a gorgeous setting which even included a quick trip to the playpark conveniently located across the street :) We will absolutely be back!!! ♡
Rating: 5 / 5
Service was second to none. It was such a pleasant surprise. The Sunday lunch was excellent and so tasty, and excellent value for money. An unbelievable change from what we had experienced a year or more ago. Although we sat outside, we had frequent from a member of staff to ensure all was OK. Highy recommended.

As it was Monday night I couldn't find anywhere else to eat, so many pubs and restaurants were closed! I had to travel just over ten miles but boy was it worth it. I had the beer battered Pollock and it was superb. The beer was exceptionally well kept as well. Would recommend this pub as the whole experience was great, a special sound out to the young lady who answered the phone as her easy, confident, manner on the phone convinced me to get in the car and both young ladies in the bar especially the red head who was lovely! Not a fan of the basket idea, my fork kept going through the greaseproof paper, would have preferred a plate. With food this good you don't need a gimmick!

Can't fault it. Good breakfast and coffee to start with. Parking right next door no problem for big 4x4 Jeep to get into. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Dogs dotted around chilled with punters on their laptops or tablets working. Had a group of 6 as well sat in the middle of the cafe having a great time. Quick walk down the beach for a bit of sea air. Can't wait to go back but with the dog next time 🤩

OMG!!! I thought... just another front beach cafe ... You'd expect bad expresso, everage food at high cost.... WRONG! never had such a flavourful dish in places like this. The crunchy skin in the salmon was superb and the fish cooked just right. The mash and asparagus were dressed and seasoned properly not just on top. The expresso was full of flavour and body (Italian barista I bet!) The stuff very kind and courteous. The salmon dish in the picture was just 17£ Please don't miss this place!

Good place to have breakfast and coffee. The place was a bit busy when I been there so I had to order couple of times to get all what I want but it was pretty straightforward. Recommend in a sunny day as is close to the beach
