The Best Cafes in Gussage All Saints, Dorset, United Kingdom (2025)

Had the pleasure of visiting here last Sunday we arrived just after 10 and there were already quite a few people here. Offered seating inside or out, we ordered coffees which were very good and then I chose the homemade granola bowl which was absolutely delicious (it was also huge!) my husband chose the Mexican open flatbread which looked amazing, which he said was really good. Lovely friendly staff. Highly recommended.

We had a baby shower for my sister at The Cow Shed in their Barn area on Saturday, and it was perfect - everything we had hoped for! The staff were so helpful, both in the lead-up to the event and on the actual day. The barn itself is really picturesque, which was perfect for photos. We opted for a cream tea with both sweet and savory scones, and it was lovely. We paid per head for drinks, which guests could get from the private bar as and when they wished. There was plenty of room for games ect too. We couldn't recommend it more. We had the most special afternoon celebrating our new arrival with family and friends. Amazing food, Amazing ambience and Great service. There was no waiting time, even though the place was filled on a Wednesday morning 10am. Great bunch of ppl running the place. The cowshed breakfast was a delight. The hash browns was one of the best i have tried in UK. Overall, it is highly recommended.

We had the breakfast with avocado, pancakes with maple syrup and fruit, egg, 2 bacon rashers, butchers sausage, 2 hash browns and halloumi. Food tasted excellent, came prompt and all food was still hot, the owner also offered us both any free drink after we said we werent gonna get one. Very nice guy. Great service would reccomend to anyone. Breakfast was £14.95 and was worth every penny.

Clean open & airy with plenty of room fabulous Greasy spoon without the grease!!! They offer a massive menu with plenty of options offering every possible combination for breakfasts and if you don't fancy a breakfast there is a wide range of tasty meals and snacks on offer! Parking is limited however it seems to be a case of leave where you can abandon it outside but be prepared to move it because if your not blocking someone in you will be blocked.

Literally had the best afternoon tea I’ve ever eaten this weekend and I’ve eaten lots over the years, which is why I felt so compelled to write a review to spread the word! I’ve been coming here for years and it just gets better and better. The food is always incredible and super fresh, there’s always lots of specials and the menu choice offers something for everyone. The staff and atmosphere really do make this place extra special, you feel very welcomed and an added bonus they absolutely love dogs. We are so lucky to have such a superb spot like this in Dorset.

Definitely worth a visit. Breakfast menu a wide choice of delicious foods, home made cakes and very yummy. Service impeccable from being greeted on entry., to great service when ordering food. Food delivered quickly on hot plates. Wide choice hot and cold beverage. Quirky place to eat out with light music. Very popular hidden away professional place. Even better when warm as can sit outside.

Had a great lunch with a group of friends today, such a lovely environment to sit back and relax in. All the food was excellent, and well presented and served at the same time for such a large group all ordering at different times. The staff were a joy it was most definitely service with a smile, Thank you Aunt fanny's for a great afternoon. Special thumbs up for the American lady on the till, superb!

Visited a few times and never been let down. Very friendly staff, amazing food, lovely laid back environment with lots of different things to look at. Had the homemade quiche, amazing. Fully recommend you visit.

We had the Goats Cheese Toastie on Sourdough with Chips. It tasted delicious and fresh too. Lovely ambience near the church too.

Lovely place and fast and friendly service, the food was ok and simple but tasty, they had plenty vegan , vegetarian and non gluten (bread) options with the sandwiches offered and the coffee and Chai latte (vegan) were really good. We were sitting outside under the tree and we had worms coming down from the top of the tree on the table, that was really upsetting and so unfortunately we left. In terms of the food and service it's great but the tree needs to be professionally treated.

Great coffee in great location opposite the Minster. Nice to be able to sit outside on this sunny autumn morning. Service very good. Cakes OK but a little bit on the dry side.

Great little Café/Bakery on the edge of the green by Wimborne Minster. Plenty of seating outside overlooking the green with umbrellas. Really friendly and welcoming staff and also pay lots of love and attention to our dog! There is also an ice cream kiosk serving local ice cream, sorbets and even ice cream for dogs! Highly recommend their coffee and also their sausage rolls! Personally the coffee tastes better than your big chain coffee shops like costa. Overall a great little place to get a bite to eat or grab a coffee!

Delicious food, great for gluten free and a lovely courtyard to eat in next to the Wimbourne Minster. I had a Wimbourne pasty and scotch egg. Very very tasty and of highly recommend them. My wife and kids had cream tea, one of which was a gluten free scone. Delicious.

I could have spent endless hours pouring over everything in the shop. It’s a beauty to behold in the eyes of an American. There are assortments of wonderful pastries, cakes, cookies and breads. All types of condiments and sauces. An extensive meat counter with varieties of meat and fish (I regret to say my sausage and bacon from there were immediately seized upon my return to the US). Of course there are cheeses, spreads, pate and a great frozen section of many items including ready meals. The staff was friendly and the items I was able to enjoy (like the smoked trout terrine and a steak & kidney pie) were absolutely amazing

Great farm shop and very good restaurant, but has gotten incredibly busy. The farm shop is excellent, with a great butcher's counter and great selection of fruit & veg, as well as lots of posh nibbles. The restaurant is very reliable, decent food and good service. The only downside is that, with the large additional seating area they added to the restaurant, the whole place can get very busy. On a Saturday lunchtime we were lucky to snag the very last parking spot left in both the main and the *overflow* car parks.

A huge, varied menu with very tasty, generous portions of food in a nice setting. A bit too easy to spend quite a lot of money! Great location with children when the weather is ok as there's a big field with football goals and some play equipment.

Great experience as a place, but also in the restaurant and in the store I would like to find things of very good quality, not just the basic one. The bread for breakfast can be one from a local bakery not a frozen baguette or the store could also sell organic milk in cartons not in plastic bottle or a yogurt in a jar not just plastic buckets...etc. Overall it was good with skilled and kind staff.

Stayed at the cockerel for a night when exploring the new forest. This is THE BEST spot for an authentic pub. Hosts were really welcoming and loved the quirky features inside and out. Food was also delicious! Wish I could give more stars!!!! 10/10

The Cockerel is an absolutely pub located out the back of wimbourne. It’s nicely hidden away but a lovely location to be. The pubs service was amazing, the bar tender was funny and charismatic and was a joy to be served by. The food was incredible, great prices and really tasty! There was also a fire on for the duration of our meal which gave the pub a really nice atmosphere. The pub is quite small so make sure to book in advance!

We have just met some friends for Sunday lunch at The Cockerel. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We had a lovely table that was not crowded or too close to other people. The Sunday roast was excellent. Beautifully cooked beef, six veg , roast potatoes and an enormous Yorkshire pudding. The vegetarian option was a mushroom and spinach wellington which was really tasty. We all had sweets which were equally good. We will definitely make the trip out to this fantastic pub again. Very tastefully decorated and homely village pub. We had Sunday lunch which was very well presented and taste lovely. Staff really helpful and good natured. Lovey warm greeting from the owner, Margaret, on arrival. Kids potions available. Very enjoyable.

Nice place to stay for a cappuccino. the terrace is very pleasant.

I visited here at Christmas and had the best toasted sandwich I’ve had in ages. We came back in the summer and even though there wasn’t any toasted sandwiches on the menu, we asked if we could have one and they happily made one each for us even asking us what would we like in it! Many thanks to the lovely staff, am looking forward to another toasted sandwich again soon!

We had a delicious Walnut Cake and a Flat White with Soya Milk. The cake was delicious and the coffee was good and strong. Nice outdoor setting too.

The perfect start to a warm sunny morning. A friendly welcome and a very good decaf latte whilst sitting in the square watching the world go by. It was so enjoyable I came back and repeated my visit the very next morning. Thank you so much Chris and Helen and I can’t wait to come back!

Had a function here yesterday and it was absolutely brilliant. Staff attentive, nothing too much trouble. Chap in charge of our function was helpful and friendly. Food was hot and on time despite several covers. Thank you so very much.

Great pub....a gold star in the heart of Badger Beer....helpful staff....quirky layout....modern yet comfy and old....food was amazing especially the chicken gravy....defo come again❤️🍒❤️
