We had an old fence with rotting Arris rails and panels which needed completely replacing. We were very happy with the quote and agreed for Andy to undertake the work. The fence supplied is of good quality and it was erected very efficiently and tidily. The new fence looks great and has made a huge difference to the look (and security) of our garden. We we will certainly be using APS again for other jobs and would highly recommend them.

Andy has been very helpful as I prepare my home for sale. He has willingly fit in with a tight schedule, cheerfully responding to my various requests and carrying them out willingly & efficiently under difficult circumstances. Andy has replaced fencing with trellis, removing a large tree root too - it looks fantastic - and he worked very quickly. Chris is very reliable, polite and friendly. He has done a brilliant job fitting an extractor fan and some shelves in my kitchen, as well as lots of smaller ‘snagging’ jobs. Mr Clayton is incredibly thorough, efficient, and great value. He did complex retiling of our ensuite, with absolute attention to detail in the tile layout, surface prep, clean up, fit shower screen, etc We will hire him again for sure.

I called after a piece of furniture broke on me on a Sunday. This was particularly inconvenient for me for it to break as I have a one bedroom flat with a small baby so I could not have the broken piece of furniture as it was as it was unavoidable and unsafe. I called this company and within the hour he’d come out and fixed it for me, really lovely guy and his wife works with the business to. Together they put my mind at ease as I was a bit panicky as I was stressed at the situation of what happened, fearing I wouldn’t be able to get it fixed. And he didn’t even charge me the whole fee as he had it done in no time and explained what had happened d how to avoid it happening again. I will definitely will be using this company again when I move house to have all my new fixtures and fittings done a single woman can’t do on her own. Thank you for rescuing me!

For us this was a relatively large scale project (a rear extension to create an open plan kitchen and living space) and we were understandably anxious about appointing a builder. After much research online we arranged to see 4 local companies. Open Plan Solutions was the last to been seen and blew the competition out of the water. From the outset it was obvious that we were talking to a company that took great pride in doing things the right way. Andrew made it very clear that communication and an upfront approach was paramount to the way Open Plan operated. On the first day of the build a WhatsApp group was set up giving us direct contact to the team along with a Google Drive account allowing access running costs, receipts and images of the work as it progressed. It became clear from the off that Andrews exacting influence runs through the entire workforce. We continued to live in the house while the work was being carried out and with me working from home the team couldn’t have been more considerate. The site was cleared as much as it could everyday and every effort was made to accommodate our daily routine. We couldn’t have been happier with the level of care and attention to detail, along with the high standard of finish and aftercare – we can’t recommend Open Plan Solutions enough. They’re a fantastic team to work with.

I can't explain how happy I am to recommend Open Plan Solutions. These guys completely blew us away with level of service from a building company. We bought a 3 bed semi house in St Albans that needed a lot of work, both structural and design. In essence we needed everything new for the house, walls knocked down, extension built, bathrooms, kitchen, electrics and plumbing. We'd heard so many nightmare stories of builders working on friends/relatives houses, so we arranged for 7 different builders to come and quote for the works we needed. Andrew (from open plan) was the only person who wasn't coming in from a recommendation, and he was the person we knew we wanted from day one. First of all they are reasonable on price, not cheap but not expensive. They are transparent with EVERYTHING and honest. The explain everything along the way so we know the decisions that needed to be made and allowed us to make an informed decision on what we wanted to do. They were so thorough, they followed the book throughout the build, this both built our confidence in them and their knowledge but also in the quality of the end product. One of the most important things that's easily overseen by builders is communication. Open Plan Solutions well exceeded anything I expected from any building company. We were added to a Whatsapp group for simple communication, emails were frequently sent for important things and a Google drive was set up to share documents and daily site pictures. We didn't live on site, so this meant we knew exactly what was happening along the way without having to continuously turn up to site. They are so polite and efficient, the builders turn up every day at 8, on time and leave at 6, Mon-Sat. My wife and I cannot fault Open Plan Solutions for any of the works they done for us. I would happily recommend them for any residential building works you may require. Their attention to detail, communication, consideration, efficiency and cost.

Jack did an excellent job mending my fence and guttering, organising the shed .and investigating a leak. Very approachable. I will be using him again.

Ginge has been a godsend to us since we moved into our new home in Letchworth. We had a tight timescale to renovate our house and he went out of his way to make it possible for us. Oliver and Chris did a brilliant job of completely refurbishing our kitchen. They were efficient, on time and had great attention to detail. We were away when the work was being done, but Oliver kept us in the loop on all the work happening and checked in with us every step of the way. Would highly recommend!

Oliver and Chris turned up at 8.00 am on the dot every morning and worked through untill 5pm every day. They were considerate and happy to discuss any changes of the original plan. Oliver supplied invoices at every stage. I had the toilet and bathroom wall taken out and knocked into one to make it more accesibl for my elderly mother The bathroom was tiled and the sink moved.The new shower was then installed. Oliver even found a window fan to replace the old one so that I didn't need to have a new window. Finally a new radiator and electric and electric heater were installed to make sure mum would be cosy and warm when in the bathroom. The old door to the toilet was removed and a new wall put in its place. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Oliver building services and he will be my 'go to' builder for work in the future. We took a chance on Oliver and his team in our first foray into renovating major parts of our home. Oliver and team reworked the kitchen, shower room from top to bottom, joinery under the stairs, flooring, including tiling the porch, laminate flooring hallway to the kitchen, took one wall down and put another one up; all under just one month. A Bespoke fitted shelving cupboard was designed, supplied and installed for a specific area in my home office that an off the shelf cupboard unit wouldn’t work in that space. The cost of the work was fair and competitive, the quote was clear, and was all included, labour and materials, the finish was professional and Richard is polite, efficient, knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. Richard recently completed some work for us at our home after recent redecoration and electrician work had left behind holes, cracked plaster, and a fixing a new skirting board for part of the room. He also rehung a door. Richard has done a fantastic job making good the various items and in particular the work to fit a new skirting board and blend it with the existing one was excellent. He was also very flexible with the timings of the work which we appreciated. Would recommend Richard.
