Once again Abbey House didn't let me down! I've been bringing my pets here for over 30yrs & travel a round trip of 30 miles - I couldn't even think of taking my pets anywhere else! All the staff are lovely from the warm greeting at reception to the wonderful vets & last night I met one of the cleaning staff who was also lovely! Thank you for caring for our animals the way you do.

Vets appointments can be traumatic for pets and owners but the staff always make sure everyone is comfortable. When we lost our cat they have offered as much compassion and help as they could. They truly cared for him when he was still alive and when we had to say good bye they were so professional and delicate. All the staff are always very helpful and polite. We’ve never had a problem with accommodating appointments even in emergency situation. Highly recommended vet!

Fulneck Golf Club

Rating: 4.5 (208) Price Level:

Great 9 hole gem that’s in good condition, greens are great but slow. Good customer service and decent prices all round! My mum and sister were able to walk scenic public footpaths in and around the course while we played golf.

Decent course, testing walk. Course is in pretty good condition. Not particularly challenging for medium/long hitters with a driver not required on any holes. Good variety of par 3s and a couple of drivable par 4s. 2nd/11th and 9th/18th are very severely uphill which will be challenging to walk for unfit/older golfers (we’re talking a good 70m elevation change in one hole. I’m fit and was out of puff by the end). Greens in decent condition, fairly paced for February. Winter tees among the best I’ve played. Can imagine the 5th/14th is a nightmare in-season/on weekends due to walkers/runners/dogs as a public right of way runs the whole length of the hole & across it. Would be a good course for beginners/shorter hitters but it’s a hard walk.

Lovely little place to enjoy a late afternoon drink on a fresh wintery day. Very friendly staff. Dog friendly which is a massive plus. Will be coming back to try the food one day as it sounds amazing. Cheap prices too. 5/5

Rating: 4.6 (128) Price Level:

Going to Northcliffe Pro Shop is a brilliant experience - Matt is attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly. We talked about what I was looking for and he gave me helpful advice, and let me test different clubs, without any pressure. It felt like a really personal experience and I could tell he genuinely wanted to make sure I found the right fit. The shop itself has a great selection, with plenty of offers, and a welcoming atmosphere. It’s the perfect place if you're in the market for golf gear either for yourself or as a gift for a loved one. I highly recommend stopping by and asking for Matt. You won’t be disappointed!

My son, my sister in law and I would just like to thank Dave the manager at Northcliffe golf club and his fantastic team Vicky and Verity for looking after us so well after the recent passing of my husband. We held the funeral tea there and Dave, Vicky and Verity couldn’t do enough to support us which we all found very comforting. The venue was beautiful and the food outstanding. There was plenty of parking to accommodate our family and friends. Thank you all so much. Julie, Matthew and Cath xxx

Great setting, beautiful course, very well laid out and challenging. Challenging opening hole and one of the best finishing holes I've played. The 18th is quite special. We'll done to your grounds staff to present such a lovely course. Staff very friendly, and members are also helpful and friendly. Bar food quality is excellent. I would have given 5 stars, but for.... we played on beautiful sunny Saturday afternoon, our Tee was after their members competition, we were nearly finished when we met a four ball and one member was dresses in 3/4 length trousers, round neck leasure T-shirt and to top it all Open toe sandals, no socks....... unbelievable. What's that about? It's totally disrespectful. I've played in hotter condition and hotter countries and have never seen a player dress like that before

Greens are pretty fast, but it's a decent challenge of a course. I've played both my best 18 and worst 18 on this course. Would get 5 stars but unfortunately a few Greens have damage on them, which I understand is out of the groundskeepers hands as it's due to nobheads on dirt bikes, but it does ruin a few holes.

Good value and not a bad course at all. Have played the front nine most recently and found this enjoyably challenging with some interesting fairways and greens - slightly less so the back nine which I played first a few weeks ago. Conditions were good on both occasions and the course well maintained.

Great good club at the top of the park. There’s a beautiful rose garden where family can relax on the grass, picnic and play or sit at the picnic tables relaxing, eating and enjoying taking in your beautiful surroundings. The park leads down through the woods to the leeds - Liverpool canal with breathtaking views and beautiful walks. There’s a lively little play park that never gets too crowded and parking on the roadside. The for the most part Gotts Park can be enjoyed by anyone and everyone wether using buggy’s, bikes or wheelchairs. Dog friendly park with plenty off poop bins I place to help keep the park free of dog mess

Vets for Pets - Bramley

Lower Town St, Bramley, Leeds LS13 4BN, UK | Veterinary Care
P: 0113 255 4466

Rating: 4.4 (567) Price Level:

Fantastic vets, the staff all so welcoming and friendly nothing is too much trouble. The surgery is clean and spacious and has areas for dogs and cats rather then sitting in same space. Which helps reactive or nervous pets. The receptionists are lovely and very knowledgeable about services offered. Pricing seems fair for the pricing if vets nowadays.

Couldn't recommend more highly. Jordana was superb, we booked in for a microchip appointment but she also took her time to patiently show us how to give our cat medication and provided us with lots of helpful tips, putting us and our cat at ease. Thank you!

Nice calm and clean veterinary surgery with polite and welcoming staff. We had our Bengal neutered and microchipped here followby 2 check up appointments. They have a seating area just for cat owners and their pets to keep away from dogs which is very helpful plus calming sprays if required.

Last year I was trying to find a new nhs dentist for the kids as the old one was far away. I found this one. The difference in dentists is actually astounding. This dentist Michail seemed to be in my children's mouth for much longer and actually checks their teeth. That sounds normal, but the last dentist we used to see, spent little to no time looking. We have been back twice now and he still shows the same level of curiosity. On our first appointment he referred both of the kids for an assessment for braces, completely unprompted. I had asked about this with the old one and was told not to worry. He jokes with them and makes them feel comfortable. When we walk in we are always greeted really politely. When we leave I always feel happy that the children are in the best hands, reception staff also have a warmness. It really is chalk and cheese. Very happy the kids are with this dentist now.. and it's closer. BONUS.

Which she managed successfully!!! Then the doctor called Sarah she's been amazing as well. So friendly and so supportive!! This practice so far is the best from Leeds, the appointments are very professional and the treatment is suitable for anyone!! I do recommend it from my heart. Thanks doctors

Truly a remarkable experience. I walked into the practice on a Friday 4weeks ago with acute toothache, hoping to get an emergency appointment after the weekend. The receptionist (Lindsay) asked what I was doing at that moment, and not doing anything I was ushered into the surgery, examined, diagnoo, X-rayed, tooth extracted and sent on my way. The dentist Sarah and her nurse Kunica were lovely. From walk-in to leaving: 25 minutes. Surely some sort of record for the NHS! Love this practice to bits and feel extremely lucky yo be among their 10,000 patients.
