Stopped by for a pint but went for the cider as it was boiling hot day. Lovely traditional pub. Friendly service and attractive walled garden to the rear. Quiet village location. Definitely worth a visit.
Such a lovely pub for a Sunday roast or drink. They were amazing at accommodating a party of 12 at very short notice, and even offered alternative meals for the 4 children who might not have managed the roast - they all loved them! Roast dinners were incredible, as were the classic puddings - both with large servings so good value for money. Pub drinks selection good, nice to see Neck Oil on tap outside of London! Staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful... Taking the children off to see your Christmas elves in the pub while we recovered from eating desert was brilliant!
Fairly friendly, very old, village local, that has just started doing food again (have yet to try). The one real ale they have on tap is well kept. Staff and locals generally friendly. Beer garden ok but could do with a bit of a tidy up.
Thank you so much for fitting our family of 8 adults and 4 children (and a baby) in at such short notice. Food was fabulous and very generous portions. Thank you also for making special meals for the children. You and your staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We’d had a great day at Bewl Water and the meal with you just finished off a perfect day 👍
