So happy The Duck is back. Went for lunch on a Friday, good to see the pub was thriving. We were looked after by Lydia who was fantastic, friendly and attentive, an asset to the team. Had the baked cod main with a side of veg, husband had the burger after spotting a previous order when we walked in. Both were faultless. Finished off with pana cotta (Lydia's recommendation), perfect end to a memorable meal. Looking forward to returning already.

Just returned from Sunday lunch ! Outstanding We wanted to wait a couple of weeks to smooth out any teething problems, it was definitely worth the wait . The quality of the ingredients was top notch the pork was sourced locally and the lamb cooked perfectly. Draft Guinness is a given friendly bar for pre lunch drinks . The roast was as good as any I’ve eaten this year the potatoes tasted like Christmas Day roasties cooked in goose fat oozing with taste and fluffiness and there take on cauliflower cheese is cheese on leeks , delicious! I never have desert only cheese but the table next to us had an apple cake with walnut ice cream which I have to say I succumbed to easily ! Staff For a pub restaurant that has just opened they were and are exceptional They have clearly been very well trained and I would suggest hand picked , they work as a team and that really benefits the customer Dressed in black engaging and encouraging ( a degree of up sale ) which I actually like and shows they understand the business. The chef also made an appearance which I always think shows confidence in the service !!! . If I had just one small criticism to keep the review genuine the Yorkshire pudding are oversized and ever so slightly Toby Carvery ( not that I’ve ever actually eaten at a Toby Carvery 😂😂😜) We will definitely return soon

Very much living up to its many five star reviews! The food was fabulously tasty and beautifully presented. Tallulah has superb waiting skills, expertly attentive, welcoming and friendly. It’s a small country pub, lovingly restored. I see a recent review complained about The Duck being a very small pub, but I feel its size works to its advantage. Like many other locals, I am relieved that this small and incredibly old pub, set out in the peaceful Pett Bottom valley, has survived all these years when so many others have not! Congratulations to the current chef & owner for breathing new life into it and selecting such a good team to work there. Long may it flourish and prosper. We really liked The Kings Arms in Elham, but having visited The Duck we’d all now say that the food at The Duck is even tastier, which is a tall order! Be sure to book in advance.

Fantastic roast at The Duck! The beef and pork were delicious, and the roast potatoes were perfection. Attentive service that couldn’t do enough for us. This place has all the right ingredients to keep getting better. Highly recommend!

A store that grew from a portacabin after all the local shops closed , now a thriving shop / small cafe where locals work as volunteers . Small selection of goods with some local produce available, a lifeline for the village .

Excellent village store. The volunteers are very friendly and helpful in both the shop and Post Office. A great example to other shops and dare I say it Post Offices in general. I wish we had more local places like this.

I live in a listed 500 yr old house and could never find a company who could give us exactly what we needed whilst retaining the integrity of the property. Dave was recommended to us and turned up on the day he was contacted, he was presented with an awkward task of wiring in two built in ovens with limited space to position the electrical connections. He solved the problem swiftly and competently, completing the task in a relatively short time. It was clear he had a good knowledge and understanding of his job and I would not hesitate in recommending him to anyone looking for a good, reliable electrian.

Second time we have used this company and its always the same level of service, he came out on new years eve and saved was done in the first hour finding and fixing the issue. 3 Phase provided an all-round service in a very old house that was being completely renovated. We had a problem with lighting in our downstairs bathroom with the existing fitting tripping the consumer unit. Contacted Jackson Electricals and James was on the case immediately, arriving as he said he would at 9.00am the following morning. I had the best breakfast here since the beginning of my stay in the UK. I rate the whole experience very good. The service was nice and helpful. We didn't wait long after placing the order. The dishes were wonderful - fresh, tasty, pleasing to the eye and palate. Compliments to the chef. Delicious coffee. I will definitely come back here, even though the queue in front of the entrance is not getting shorter 😄 It's really worth it!

Nice little on the way in Canterbury from Canterbury West station. Very friendly staff and lovely cafe. We had breakfast/brunch and ordered the Rancher and the House Smoked Salmon and Avo with two tea. Very good and different from your normal breakfast offerings. Worth a visit.

My friend and I came to this place for a quick lunch. We both ordered a bacon and chicken toast and it tastes really good - probably some of the best toasts I’ve ever had in the UK. The breads are perfectly toasted and delicious - definitely a hidden gem. The price is quite reasonable too.

Incredible food, lovely staff an overall really comfortable dining experience. Highly recommend for a quick breakfast, brunch or lunch. My companions had their meals prior, but the staff were happy to offer just the sides and a drink without any fuss. Perfectly situated along the way to Canterbury cathedral and surrounding areas.
