Canterbury Tails Cat Cafe

Rating: 4.9 (576) Price Level:

One of the best decisions I’ve ever made was to spend two hours here during my trip to England last month. It starts with the perfect name, and things only get better from there. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the cider and flapjack I had were delicious! Now we come to the cats. I spent most of my time with Waffle, a lovable Cornish Rex. He came right over and hopped in my lap. He stayed there for over an hour, which is basically my idea of heaven. I had the opportunity to meet or at least see most of the cats, and they are all wonderful! If you love cats, this is the place for you.

Visited with my friends for my birthday, in late August, & all of us absolutely loved it! The staff were super nice, the kitties were adorable & the chocolate cake is to die for! We got to look around and find the kitties hiding in different places, got to feed them, pet them and just look at them being adorable. Safe to say every single one of us walked out with a heart full of joy and planning when we will visit again! Thank you so much for having us!! ☺️

I’ve been here a few times and they have only gotten better each time. The cats are in such good condition. It’s so lovely to see 28 cats living in a beautiful space. Not only that the food and drink is incredible. The staff are lovely and friendly. I cannot wait to go back again and enjoy looking at all the cute fluff balls. I fully support the owners of Canterbury Tails and what they are trying to do. 10 out of 10 with 100% recommend.

I visited this dreamy cafe back in February and it was one of the most charming experiences I’ve ever had. The cafe was cosy, warm and in a wonderful location down a cobbled street towards the Cathedral. I had a lovely time meeting the playful and friendly cats. The plant based hot chocolate and cream tea I had was delicious and it was nice to be surrounded by a few peacefully sleeping cats for company as well. I very much recommend a visit if you are in Canterbury it’s a real treat. X

I went to the lovely cat cafe for my birthday in February, and for a general visit later in the year. And I loved every minute of it. The food and drinks were delicious, and seeing the sweet faces of all the cats was such an experience. Being at uni, I missed my cats back at home so it was so refreshing to see these gorgeous kitties. They are all so cared for by the team and I cannot wait to go again soon!

Absolutely adore this place! Me and my partner were so happy we found this during our trip and had become a firm favourite! Will definitely be back next time we’re in the area! Food is absolutely delicious, the atmosphere is lovely with the roaring fire on a cold November morning. My friend and I came to this place for a quick lunch. We both ordered a bacon and chicken toast and it tastes really good - probably some of the best toasts I’ve ever had in the UK. The breads are perfectly toasted and delicious - definitely a hidden gem. The price is quite reasonable too.

The dishes were wonderful - fresh, tasty, pleasing to the eye and palate. Compliments to the chef. Delicious coffee. I will definitely come back here, even though the queue in front of the entrance is not getting shorter 😄 It's really worth it!

Very friendly spot for a snack before touring Canterbury. To this American tourist it felt very welcoming and part of a local neighborhood instead of a too-busy, in-and-out, grab-and-go place you might find in town. Besides, we discovered Mr. Blobby!

Sturry Dental Practice

36 High St, Sturry, Canterbury CT2 0BD, UK | Dental Clinic
P: 01227 711360

Rating: 4.8 (20) Price Level:

I had my first appointment with Dr. Basanta Shrestha at Sturry Dental Practice on 11th December. Following the extraction of my tooth, Dr. Basanta provided a clear and detailed explanation of my options, including a long-term solution with a dental implant. He was very thorough in addressing my concerns and ensuring I fully understood the process. With Christmas just around the corner, Dr. Basanta thoughtfully suggested a temporary solution using a Maryland bridge. This would restore my smile in time for the festive season—a gesture I greatly appreciated! By 20th December, the Maryland bridge was ready and installed beautifully. It looks amazing and feels like the perfect Christmas present! I couldn’t be happier with the result. A special thanks also to his nurse, Kennis Yuen, who was exceptionally helpful and explained everything in great detail, making the entire experience smooth and comfortable. Thank you so much, Dr. Basanta and your wonderful team, for your outstanding care and service!

I had seen Basanta from 9 years,I had to see him this time for an emergency appointment as I had severe toothache. I was able to see him within 90 minutes of speaking to the lovely receptionist (sorry I didn’t catch her name). A relatively pain free appointment and fully informed of what was going on and what to do next. Happy smiley face!!!!!

Fancy not being able to eat over Christmas - I can think of nothing worse. However, that was the position I was in with a fractured upper rear molar. It happened on Christmas Eve and so I sent an email requesting help not expecting to hear back for a couple of days. I was amazed to get a phone call the next day in the morning and giving me an emergency appointment on the day after Boxing Day - 9:30am. I was treated with such kindness and consideration; I cannot praise the attention that was paid to me enough!!! Thank you so much for making my Christmas! A wonderful Dental Practice that looks after all my family.

Great food in an amazing location close to the Canterbury Cathedral. The restaurant is a fusion between classic dishes (you can find pizza, pasta, burgers) and Romanian cuisine. Romanian cuisine focuses on good meat and good quality ingredients, if you want to try some authentic dishes I would recommend the smoked aubergine salad, mititei and for dessert the Dracula's heart (actually called papanași, freshly made in the kitchen, the waiting is worthwhile). The service is very friendly and helpful and the restaurant looks amazing!

I first came to Wye Dental Practice earlier this year as a nervous patient. From my very first visit, everyone made me feel so welcome and at ease. From the periodontal treatments with Nidhi to the cosmetic work carried out by James, I honestly can’t put into words my gratitude to the team for not only getting me over my fear of the dentist but for also giving me a beautiful & healthy smile that I can be proud of. I would absolutely recommend Wye Dental Practice. Not only are they extremely skilled at what they do but they are all such lovely people and a joy to visit.

I first joined Wye dental surgery to have my teeth straightened and whitened but, in the process, found my top incisor was fractured due to a root canal I'd had many years before. The advice and treatment I received throughout the process of getting my tooth repaired and the root canal redone, and having a crown fitted to look EXACTLY like the other tooth was phenomenal. I can't recommend Wye dental surgery enough. James and Aliz are friendly, patient and understanding and will make you feel at ease whatever treatment you have done. A very professional, yet friendly service.

My Wife and I had been going into Phoebes for quite some time, always enjoying the lovely lunch selection, afternoon tea and amazing cakes on offer. We loved it all so much we asked the wonderful owner (Lesley) if she could make our cakes for our wedding. She was more than happy to accept and provided us with the most wonderful wedding cake and cupcakes, they really stole the show on the big day. Lesley made the whole process really easy on us and was happy to work with whatever we wanted, we even got to do a little cake tasting! We are so grateful for everything Lesley has done for us and our big day, and we will always be happy customers returning back to Phoebes for more sandwiches and afternoon teas!

Las Iguanas is hands down the best place to go for a fun, vibrant dining experience! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was buzzing with energy, and the staff were beyond amazing. They were so lovely, friendly, and attentive throughout the entire evening, making us feel right at home. Now, let’s talk about the cocktails! They have an incredible selection, but the piña colada is an absolute standout—perfectly blended, refreshing, and just the right amount of sweetness. Easily one of the best I’ve ever had! The happy hour deals are also fantastic, making it the perfect spot to unwind with friends or celebrate a special occasion. On top of that, the food was delicious with a great variety of flavors and dishes to choose from. It’s clear that Las Iguanas puts a lot of thought and effort into every part of the experience, from the quality of the drinks to the warm, welcoming service. Whether you're popping in for cocktails or a full meal, this place never disappoints. I can’t recommend it enough this is truly the best spot in town for great food, amazing drinks, and outstanding service. I’ll definitely be back!
