It was a quiet night as you would expect on a Tuesday. The food was very good. However, the vegetarian choice was very poor. Only two options on the menu and I e wasn't available. The 'go to if all else fails' veggie burger had been removed from the menu too. As a veggie I am used to a limited choice, but the one option, gnocchi, was not sufficient really.
Stepping into The Calleva Arms is like finding an oasis in the desert of the ordinary. The pints are poured with such precision, it's as if they're crafted by the steady hands of a watchmaker. The atmosphere buzzes with a warmth that could thaw a snowman's heart, and the locals are so friendly, you'll feel like you've been part of the furniture for years. It's the kind of place where the beer tastes like a golden sunset and the memories linger like the froth on your upper lip. A true five-star experience!
I foolishly left my purse behind. A very kind person handed it and equally kind staff posted it back to me. (I live over 100 miles away). Thank you so much. I will definitely pop in for a meal next time I am in the area.
Popped in for a quick drink with my son. Lovely atmosphere with a lovely modern family British vibe. A high class of cliental, was extremely busy for Sunday roasts. Looking forward to bringing the family back for food.
9 of us ( 4 children) had Sunday lunch there yesterday (9th) and service was excellent . Food portions were very generous & hot and delicious . Staff were kind enough to box up the left over vegetables and I’ve just eaten a delicious vegetable soup from them all . Could do with a serving spoon to put veg on plates but that’s my only niggle . Thanks everyone at the pub 😁😁
