Andrew undertook a complete reroof of our house including tiles, membrane, lead, and where necessary, remedial work to timbers. He also replaced our loft insulation and brought it up to standard. He is a perfectionist and would never cut corners but insures the job is done to his very high standards. He is an excellent communicator and kept us up-to-date with progress and any issues throughout the process. His team worked hard and he always left the site tidy at the end of each day. We would highly recommend him.

It was well worth the wait for Ferns Roofing to come and reroof our house. They have done an excellent job and we are very pleased with the outcome. Andrew and his team have done several jobs at my home, including replacing our roof in 2021. The quality of workmanship is always excellent. It's no secret to his clients that Andrew is a perfectionist, and that shows in every job he does. But as well as first-class work, Andrew explains everything he does, and is keen to show the work as it progresses (you get a great view of your property from up on a scaffold!). As a customer, I am also reassured by the fact that whenever I've had any issues after the work has been completed (which is rare), Andrew responds immediately to contacts and invariably calls round to check in. The fact that I always go back to Andrew when more work is needed speaks volumes about how helpful and trustworthy he and his team are.

I have just had Dalton Roofing re-point my chimney stack including replacing 4 broken roof tiles. They did a neat job of repointing etc to a very high standard, cleaned my gutters afterwards and swept my path and back yard. The roofers were very professional and decent lads who respected my property. As agreed by Dalton Roofing and myself, they roofers took before and after close up photos of the chimney stack. The admin team always kept me updated by email. I know this day and age finding a trustworthy roofer can be very difficult at times which is why I fell lucky finding Dalton Roofing. Very impressed with Dalton Roofing. We had a number of leaks on an old roof and two other companies had tried to fix them without success. We contacted Dalton who came out very quickly to assess the issues. Phil explained the problems and gave me options to consider. He sent me a detailed quote on the same day which I accepted and the work was completed exactly on schedule. During the job, I spoke to Jake who was doing the work. He was great; he answered all my questions, explained what he had done in detail and gave me real confidence that he had understood and fixed the problems. Communication from Ruby at their office was also great. Overall, Dalton have been excellent and I'd recommend them without reservation.

Massive thank you to Adrian and the team at A star. They made multiple repairs to my roof (a fairly big job which took 2 weeks). His communication of booking in the scaffolders to daily email updates on the progress of the project was exemplary. They even worked the weekend at no extra cost to complete the project on time due to a few unforeseen issues caused by poor workmanship by the previous contractor. As far as trades people go, (being one myself) I can honestly say Adrian is one of the nicest, genuine people you could ever wish to employ to do work on your house/business. He genuinely cares about every aspect of the job and that it is completed to a high standard. I will be using A star without a doubt on any future projects. Finally, as people quite often leave reviews on Google based on price, A star we’re not the cheapest quote we had, but competitive. However being in the trades myself for 23 years. I am of the mindset you definitely get what you pay for. Which in this case was quality materials and quality work at a fair price (not cheap/not expensive). Thank you again
