I was really quite surprised with the location of this course. I traveled through a really busy Watford town center, turned a couple of corners and then find the course tucked behind a residential estate. However having arrived at the clubhouse it feels miles from anywhere, and was really quiet to play on. The club house was really clean and well maintained. Following the path around behind the club towards the pro shop and first tee you pass a really expansive putting green and a smaller chipping area. I played using a discount voucher so thought it great value but I'm not sure if the standard pay and play fee is such a good deal. I arrived a bit late so didn't have time to use the practice range but managed to hit a few balls in the practice nets before having a quick putt. The putting green gave a good indication of the greens in general and although they were a bit slower than I'm used to they were true with and in good condition providing a consistent roll. The course itself is a friendly parkland course with pretty much all the holes playing as you see them with not too many challenges. The whole course is tree lined with some scrub in places causing the odd lost ball. The fairways are actually all pretty wide and were in a great condition (and just for a change i managed to hit most of them!). As for the greens they were all fairly friendly with not too many challenging pin placements or horrible breaks to contend with. The best hole for me was the short par 4 8th which runs down hill towards a dip on the left with trees on the right. Not being a big hitter it gave me a nice lay up approach wood for a pitch onto the green. The only hole to let the course down was the 16th which is a par 3 playing a blind shot down to a cratered green over a well placed marker. It has a very generous landing area and despite having shot my approach well right of target, I was still left with a greenside pitch onto the putting surface having expected to be in the rough. Overall a very nice course not overly challenging. Probably the best thing was at the end of the day having finished and being able to see the members and juniors making the most of the practice area. Clearly a family friendly club with good facilities and a course that would suit most golfers and as of this moment in great condition.

Best condition I've seen the course in. Fabulous half way hut with home made Yummies. Great food in clubhouse.

A wedding anniversary celebration was held there. The food was excellent and the facilities were top class.

The first visit to tricky Ricky and the nickname suggests it is a ticky course. But a good course. The tee offs are having worked done reading the course for winter 16th September 24, but all player able, greens were in good condition. There is a bar area with seating inside and out for a nice cold drink. Also, a small golf shop where you can hire trollys and buggy you will need to book in advance if you want a buggy. I will definitely play here again. Good value for the price.

This is my local golf course and I’m so glad it is! The fairways and greens and kept amazingly well and the course gives amazing views, the price for a round is one of the best in the local area too! I certainly recommend trying this course out.

Greens had recently been hollowtined so were very testy. The greens were also quite lacking grass growing but that's due to weather & being a public course, will see a lot of punters playing .The fairways were spiky in places as the weather has been very wet of late so mower care has been lacking. The layout & walk was a joy. I did it by myself in 2 & a half hours. Millionaires golf for not a lot of dough. Will definitely return in the fairer months.

Tricky Ricky indeed, this is an exceptionally hilly course with many aggressively sloping fairways and several novelty holes, including a few quite spectacular ones. Certainly worth a visit at least once to test yourself on ots hills. The course is in reasonable condition for a public course and the views over the local area and posh houses are great, so a pleasant course to play. The holes are laid out logically, so not too difficult to find your way around, although there is no overarching course map, nor do the tee boxes have any map reflecting the individual holes' layout - and there are many blind holes, albeit pins are basically all in a straight line on those holes. Walking this course can be tiring, and for such a short course (around 4000 yds from memory) it can still generally take around 4.5 hours. Local people are friendly. The course borders the exclusive Moor Park golf club, which you get several nice views of, and which looks more attractively planted and better laid out - although that is a guess. Some reviews here are claiming this is an irons only course... Personally I think at least half the holes can make good use of a driver, although the 3 and 5 woods never came out of the bag due to the risk of hitting them off sloping fairways towards quite short, sloping greens. Perhaps better players will get use out of these clubs.

Been to the driving range only. Friendly staff. Extremely great customer experience. The view gives us a sense of peacefulness. Nice vibe for doing golf in any time.

Fantastic golf course, picturesque greens, and fairways. State of the art range to practice your game. The clubhouse/restaurant is super modern and spotlessly clean. The food was really tasty and the service was excellent. I'll definitely be coming back for more.

Visited this place recently, using the Hertfordshire County card scheme, so attained a good rate for the round. We both play off about 14-15hc and have played a lot of nice courses over the years. Very pleased to include Aldenham Country Club in this growing list! Good quality greens, tee-boxes and fairways. Bar staff were very friendly. Slightly grumpy pro-shop, maybe just having a bad day. Definitely worth a visit.

A great 9 hole course. Some nice par 4s and a couple of pretty par 3s. The greens are like a billard table and viciously fast. A bit shorter holes than a full course but it is narrow which makes up for it. Not keeping it straight and it will be punished. If you have not enough time for a full round this is a good alternative.

First time visiting Aldenham and the course was in excellent condition considering the amount of rainfall that's been coming down all year! The course was fun and challenging with a real mix of holes - particularly the 600+ yard 13th! The greens were fantastic though. They ran very true and made for an enjoyable round. Well worth a visit.

Beautiful course. Well kept greens and fairways. Lovely tree lined fairways and rough is not too long and fair. Greens were playing quite fast but all were in very good condition. Staff are friendly and helpful throughout from Professional Shop to bar staff. We played a Society Day on a Sunday and were well looked after. Played here twice now and looking forward to returning in the future.

A warm welcome with good service and tasty food. Course has some interesting and excellent holes and a few very plain ones. A bit more time on course presentation including definition of cuts, along with faster summer greens would make this 5*. However, it is well experiencing this track :)

The course is well kept even after some pretty terrible weather recently. Some moderately challenging holes. Very enjoyable experience.

A really lovely course. A very warm welcome on arrival and a detailed explanation of the course before we set out. Given the heavy rain the last few days and the fact most courses in the area were shut I was amazed at the quality of the course. The greens were brilliant and fairways too. It can feel like a quite compact course at times, some of the tee boxes are very close to the greens which require accurate approach shots as they are refreshingly petit. A thoroughly great course definitely worth seeking out if you are within an hour or so.

Nice course not the longest so enjoyable for all abilities. Greens and fairways were in great condition for mid October. Only issue was at the start of the round, it seemed the course was over booked and large groups were teeing off before us, meaning a delay to our tee off time and having to start on the 10th hole eventually.

First time I’ve visited this place for a breakfast meeting and the grounds are amazing. Good sized car park on entrance and Venue inside has loads of history about the club and past winners. Breakfast was good and meeting room was great. Great views of the course and a very bright and open spacious, yet quiet and uninterrupted. Would definitely visit again in the future. Make sure you have the gate code on the way out!

Nice course with some challenging holes for a high handicap player. Greens excellent and really challenging really pace control

Nice course, was in great nick this past weekend. Trickier than the course index suggests, but still had opportunity for scoring. Greens ran well. Bunkers a bit hit and miss but overall fine. Fairways a bit patchy in a couple of places but coming out of winter that's to be expected. Will look forward to my next round here!

Exceptional golf club with brilliant views more so on the back 9. Course is wide and forgiving so if you mess a hole you will make it up. The tee times are well staggered so never feel the need to be rushed. There is a range, putting and chipping green with balls provided. The 19th is well stocked to finish off so in all a great club.

Friendly staff and a nice course which was a good test of length and positioning. 1 hidden pond which I didnt look for on my gps but I will definitely go back in a few weeks after the green tinning has healed. Nice pint and view from the clubhouse.

The course was in good condition and, being generally quiet, was pleasant to play. Good up and down holes with some good views. This has only just opened up for visitors to play and it was good to get to play it at last.

Very good place if you want to have good quality time with friends and family. £20 per game but if you for visit for first time you get special offer. Recommend!

We visited Top Golf Watford today for our son's 16th Birthday. We were looked after so well, particularly by Phil, his customer service was/is incredible. He is an asset to this venue and we will definitely visit again! Thanks Phil (and team) for a great day.

Visited Topgolf Watford on a weekday and had a great time. There's ample parking, which makes getting there hassle-free. The venue has a fun, sporty atmosphere, with live matches playing on huge screens throughout, adding to the buzz. The Topgolf area is split across two levels (upper and lower). It was quite busy, even midweek, so it’s worth booking ahead. Each game gives you 20 balls, but two of us received one less from the dispenser. We mentioned it at reception, and the staff were friendly and responsive, quickly sorting it out by giving us the missing ball – great customer service. Overall, a fun and lively place for a casual game, with good vibes and helpful staff.
