We stopped for a much needed break whilst travelling from abroad only to find that the kitchen was about to close. Fortunately the lovely staff allowed us sit provided we chose quickly. The food was excellent. Our thanks to you all.

Superb service from the waiter and waitress—attentive and charming. Every dish was excellent, and the atmosphere was spot on. Thoroughly impressed!

A beautiful public house and Hotel with loads of interesting Historical information about this building. Did not stay or try any food. But a great place to visit for a drink or a meal.

Enjoyed a wonderful two-night break at The Crown, staying in The King's Suite and having one lunch, one dinner and two breakfasts! A great place to chill out, especially by the open fire in winter, which was kept well fuelled throughout the day. Every morsel was delicious, from the snacks (veggie haggis bites recommended) to the evening mains. We plumped for rump of lamb and slow-cooked pork belly, but on evidence of this and their famous breakfasts, you can't go wrong with anything on any menu. Add to this a well stocked bar and sensibly-sized wine list catering for all tastes and wallets and you've got the ideal bolt-hole to wind away the winter hours. Unless of course you want to embark on one of the many great walks in the area. We did a 7.5km loop of the Devil's Punchbowl, a 15 min cross-country drive away, and earned our evening dinner! Saving the final comment for the wonderful service throughout. Reception, bar and waiting teams all warm, friendly, accomodating and patient in dealing with our every request. Including ensuring our favourite fireside table was always reserved, whether we asked for it or not!

Amazing pub in the heart of Chiddingfold, with so much character. The food is very good and there is usually great service. It's pretty pricey here but maybe that is to be expected. Would definitely recommend a trip when you're next in Chidd.
