It is not often I give a full 5 star review however, where Via Leone is concerned I have no doubts those visiting will be thrilled with the food, service, atmosphere and general vibe. The first thing to note is they do not serve Pizza ... this is a blessing in disguise if you happen to go with teenagers who's only Italian dish is Pizza ... My son had no choice but to go for an alternative dish and he reveled in how good it was. A late addition of 2 further people was accommodated without issue, the restaurant was full on arrival and the atmosphere relaxed and vibrant. The menu is perfect giving a great mixture of starters, mains and dessert. Sometime a menu can be to restrictive, not much choice and others can be huge, not Via Leone, they have the blend just right and all the food ordered was cooked to perfection. The wine list was not extensive but there are some very well chosen wines listed. We opted for two bottle of Negroamaro Puglia ... one of the best reds I have tasted, even my non drinking wife tried some and thought it was lovely!! and at just £27/bottle, it was not over priced for a restaurant. In all, this was one of the best meals we have had in a long time, all very much enjoyed their choice of food.

First time here and had a great lunch. Good service very nice pasta dishes and excellent wine. Will definitely be back!

Not another Italian in Farnham! Well this is the best one by far, and a great addition to the bustling Lion and lamb yard. All the food is freshly made, full of flavour and excellently presented. The service is really good too. Probably the best Italian food I've had outside of Italy. The four of us all thought it was brilliant. Definitely be back.

Absolutely beautiful. I've not eaten such quality authentic Italian food outside of Italy. Lots of choice on the menu and it was very difficult to pick. Everything was full of flavour, fresh, colourful, and presented beautifully. We had the mussels and olives with bread to start - large servings for starters and definitely enough to share - and then a mix of starter sizes and sides as a main course. Dessert (profiteroles) was rich and chocolatey, as it should be. The house white wine was delicious and reasonable at £21. Service was friendly and knowledgeable and we felt really comfortable here. Total bill was under £100 including wine and service and was great value for money as the portions were so generous. This is a real asset to Lion and Lamb Yard and deserves to be fully booked up. 100% would return.

Great food made even better by wonderful hospitality. Although a quiet night, the atmosphere still felt comfortable and welcoming to us as we dined. I hope more people come to support this fantastic addition to Farnham!
