A friend recommended Gentle Dentistry to me and how glad am I that he did. Dan and his team are, quite simply, the best. After an initial consultation I received a complete Treatment Plan which is now complete and I couldn't be happier. This is what modern dentistry is all about and I am definitely a fan.

I was a nervous patient and have had years of poor experiences and anxiety when needing to see a dentist. I have now been with Dan and the team for two years and they are all amazing. I have had a number of treatments they have all been pain free, well explained and left me with a smile I am proud of again. I cannot recommend The Gentle Dentistry highly enough—they are, without question, the best dentists I've ever visited (and I've been to quite a few). As a very anxious patient with previous bad experiences, I thoroughly researched to find a trustworthy dentist for complex work. My search led me to The Gentle Dentistry. After reviewing their website, I decided to book a consultation. From the moment I walked through the door, the experience was seamless. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. I received a detailed treatment plan, with every aspect clearly explained. I required multiple appointments due to the complexity of the work, and each visit was reassuring, with the entire process clearly outlined. Meeting Dan and Ed for different treatments was a pleasure—they provided exceptional care. The assistants were fantastic, offering support throughout the entire process. When I first came to The Gentle Dentistry, I hated my smile and had severe trauma from past dental issues and bad experiences. Now, I have a smile I'm proud of and much less fear of dental work. I highly recommend Dan, Ed, and The Gentle Dentistry for their meticulous attention to detail and outstanding work. I experienced no pain during any treatment, and even the injections, which I usually dread, were barely noticeable. Yesterday I needed emergency treatment for a tooth infection. Gentle Dentistry gave me an immediate appointment I was treated by Ed who was absolutely amazing professional and made me feel at ease. I am a very nervous patient following treatment received as a child in the 1960s. However, the treatment I received from Fernando for my dental implants was second to none. He is an excellent practitioner and has the ability to create an air of calm which would put any nervous patient at ease. My implants fit perfectly and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him and the staff at South Coast Dental. How I wish it had been the same for me as a child. Thank you to everyone at the practice.

I had 3 implants successfully inserted by Fernando a couple of years ago, without any pain. Recently I needed a deep cleansing treatment for gum disease over one tooth and again, I did not experience pain. Although I have private general dentistry, this is the only dental surgeon who has given injections without pain due to the use of a superior numbing agent beforehand. All the staff are very pleasant also. I can highly recommend this Centre.

Josh kindly fitted an implant nearly two years ago which I am very pleased with, I recently had an issue with the gum surrounding the implant. Josh and Tawf were able to quickly address the issue for which I am very grateful, the review was very thorough and I learned some useful tips on how to use interdental brushes.

A good experience at South Coast Dental with Josh. Had a tooth implant here and was extremely nervous, from start to finish everything was explained fully, and support was given at every step by Josh, Tawny and team. Very professional and welcoming practice. Would highly recommend if you are considering a dental implant.

I never thought I would write a review praising a dentist. I was a grown up baby absolutely terrified of dentists. I would literally shake and make myself ill just sitting in the waiting room. However, I found Dorset Dental Clinic who actually listened to my fears and have now totally transformed my look. My teeth were so bad that it took a 5 hour operation under anesthetic to remove the lot and completely replace with new. The work is now complete and it has added a level of confidence and wellbeing to my life. I had an accident over the weekend and knocked out my front teeth, I was in a lot of pain and needed them fixed as soon as possible. The very helpful receptionist at Bupa dental care in Shaftesbury spoke to my mum and had us booked in first thing Monday morning without any issues. The dentist I saw was absolutely incredible, I was very nervous and he made me feel calm and the treatment was painless. My teeth look amazing and I’m so pleased with them. To have it done so quickly, efficiently, painlessly and with incredible customer service makes such a difference. Thank you to all the team!

In 2023 my front crown cracked. I had broken my front tooth when I was 9years old and was given a metal post to hold the crown. Over the years I must have had four crowns, I am now in my 70's. My exiting dentist was not very informative about my options and dismissive of my anxiety about loosing one of my front teeth. I was told that I could not have another crown, because the current crowns could not be used with a metal post. I also found that I was given different information each time I wanted to discuss my options. I began to do my own research and short listed three different dentists. I chose to try Wincanton Dental Practice initially because their information on each of their dentists was clear, accessible and impressive. From my very first appointment I found the dentists I saw to be patient, understanding, very informative. Allowing me to see my scans and explaining them. Taking time to explain my different options and the cost and time needed of each possibility. I chose to have an implant, which though was the most expensive option, was more reasonable than the two other dental practices I had researched. The actual operation of taking out the remains of my old root and replacing it with an implant, was extraordinarily quick and painless. With almost no swelling or pain the following days [though I am a Homeopath and had filled myself with supporting remedies!]. It is now several months later, my new implant and tooth is so beautifully matched to my other teeth that it is not noticeably different. I have had no problems or issues and am delighted with the results. I can not emphasise enough how well I was looked after by everyone that I came in contact with, from receptionist to dental surgeon.

I’m a relatively nervous patient after having a particularly bad experience at another dentist. Both Spyridon (dentist) and Charlotte (dental nurse) have looked after me so well, calmed my nerves and got me through all my check ups and treatments without me worrying or feeling anxious. I would like to express the brilliant service I have received at this practice. I've recently had a teeth straightening process, and the whole experience has been great from start to finish. I cannot fault this dental practice. My son has just had his third check up - literally takes a couple of minutes. The team are always happy and friendly. I needed quite a bit of work, and I must admit Jenny has been the best dentist I have ever visited, she has been amazing and I would not like to use any other practice after the first class treatment I have received from this practice.
