I had lunch with my friend at the Tulip Tree yesterday, and we both agreed athat the Leek and potato soup we had was simply divine, the best we had ever had, and sumptuous in every way. Compliments to the chef who clearly knows his artistry. Top notch! Please keep making your beautiful soups and we will keep coming. All the staff were friendly, professional, and delightful in every way. Thank you so much for a lovely experience, which was very welcome on such a cold day!

Found this quite by chance while in the area & after quickly doing a google for “cafes”. So glad we found this - no wonder it has great reviews, it’s a great find! The staff are really lovely & friendly. You will get the biggest cake slices you’ve ever seen, far more generous than most mainstream cafes. Outside and inside seating. Will definitely be back in the warmer weather!

We love the Tulip Tree and go there very regularly. Today I had the new waffles with fruit dish from the breakfast menu which was excellent! The waffles were delicious and the dish included a very generous portion of fruit (I added a bit of their delicious homemade granola on top from a sample they were giving out). Make sure you get there before 12pm as it is only on the breakfast menu. They also do a savoury version with bacon and eggs. My husband enjoyed the ciabatta breakfast roll with delicious Southborough sausage and the King’s favourite free range bacon which is served all day!

Delightful place for brunch, lunch or tea time. We sat outside and ordered inside and were served our drinks and food with a smile. Parking tip: park at the castle, it's a charming 5 min walk to the village.

Had a wonderful coffee break here! Homemade Quiche, coffee and walnut cake and an amazing lemon drizzle made by the team (Max I think?). Super delicious definitely coming back here. Such great value as well!
