We attended the Charlton inn for a last minute Sunday lunch. It was incredible large portions and food was delicious, meat was so tender. staff are very helpful, lovely cosy atmosphere. Booking is therefore advised.

We moved to Charlton Marshall in April and have eaten at the Charlton Inn many times since. Each time the food and service have been excellent, even when they were very busy. The Sunday lunch is one of the best we've had in our tours of local eateries since we retired. We will continue enjoying our visits and the great food in 2025.

Stayed here for 2 nights with family, had 4 rooms. Had an evening meal in the pub which was beautiful, plentiful and tasty. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The rooms offer everything you need but they definitely need a bit of TLC.

We were visiting family in Blandford during November 2024 and decided to try the Charlton Inn for an evening meal. The choice of food was extremely good they also had a number of vegan options for the wife. The service, the atmosphere, the staff and the food was excellent. We was also allowed to stop over in their carpark in our motorhome, which made the evening even better. Would highly recommend it. In fact we are hoping to return in December.

Popped in on your way through the town and found a super tea room, highly recommend. We had cream tea and Dorset apple cake, lovely warm scone, beautiful tea set. Obviously a tea room run on love and care.

What a lovely quaint tea room which became very popular at lunchtime on our arrival. Only had to wait a few minutes when proprietor advised us a table was about to become free after being cleaned. Once seated and served with choice of refreshments, it was some 20 minutes before food was presented. Well worth the wait as we were in no haste as on holiday. Obviously, the tables filled very quickly hence the wait. The sign above the counter states, 'We don't serve fast food, We serve fresh food, As fast as we possibly can'. A very true statement given the excellent service.

Come here for breakfast when visiting family in Blandford and always had a good meal. Decided to try lunch and was not disappointed 😋. Book before you arrive! 5 star 🌟

First visit to the restaurant. I was very impressed with our server, who suggested we could move to the adjacent barn where it would be leas noisy. He was right. It was😎. Food quality was excellent. Also, I was very impressed with the general cleanliness. Toilets were immaculate. I would definitely recommend this place. 👍

Amazing food, Amazing ambience and Great service. There was no waiting time, even though the place was filled on a Wednesday morning 10am. Great bunch of ppl running the place. The cowshed breakfast was a delight. The hash browns was one of the best i have tried in UK. Overall, it is highly recommended.

We had a baby shower for my sister at The Cow Shed in their Barn area on Saturday, and it was perfect - everything we had hoped for! The staff were so helpful, both in the lead-up to the event and on the actual day. The barn itself is really picturesque, which was perfect for photos. We opted for a cream tea with both sweet and savory scones, and it was lovely. We paid per head for drinks, which guests could get from the private bar as and when they wished. There was plenty of room for games ect too. We couldn't recommend it more. We had the most special afternoon celebrating our new arrival with family and friends. Came here today, after walking from our campsite at Graston Copse through Burton Bradstock village. A warm welcome by a member of staff & shown to our outside table for 4 with 3 dogs. Our waitress took our drinks order & returned after a few minutes to take our food order. She was very friendly and attentive, giving time for a chat despite being extremely busy. Wait for our food was minimal and when it arrived it was hot, tasty & well presented. Back ground music was pleasant, giving the Mediterranean feeling due to the sunshine. Wouldn't hesitate in returning if we are in the area again .... thank you.

We arrived at 11.20, just in time to order breakfast. We were lucky to get the table on the edge of the 'tent' overlooking the beach. Despite being quite busy we received very efficient service. The food arrived within 15- 20 min, then our hot drinks. We had 3 x full English and egg Benedict on muffin with bacon. Everyone enjoyed it. The only nuisance were a few wasps but not a lot to spoil our experience.

Camping at Freshwater holiday park, a 20 minute walk to visit this gem of a place. Busy and bustling restaurant, great menu, food was outstanding and the service was great too. Dog friendly aswell, all in all, will definitely be returning soon.

This is a well loved beach cafe which has beautiful scenic views, it is very popular and rightly so. The menu is mainly fish and seafood dishes. However, they do a smashing full English breakfast up to 11.30 am. I will post pics. This dog friendly beach cafe has a carpark close by, but if you choose to walk along the cliff top path or the lower paths, you will walk within the most beautiful scenery. This is a totally table service venue, so once you are seated, you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the view. Prices are reasonable.
