The gardens are also conveniently close to the station, so you can start exploring as soon as you arrive. The fact that entry is free makes it even more appealing. Whether you’re looking to relax, take in some history, or snap a few memorable photos, Westgate Gardens is a must-visit in Canterbury!

Westgate Gardens in Canterbury is a beautiful and peaceful spot along the River Stour. Lovely flower beds, green spaces, and historic features like the Westgate Towers. A great place for a walk, picnic, or just relaxing by the water. Perfect for families, couples, or solo visitors looking to enjoy nature in the city.

Breathtaking scenery. Lots of colourful flowers and it’s clean as well. Near the bridge, there is a company which offers boat tours(I forgot the term) and is a max of 6 people only if I’m not mistaken but if there are a lot of you in one group they will guide you to another boat tour.
